This review is mainly for the customer service and staff they have at this location. If I could give them a ZERO star I definitely would. This is my second bad experience here. The customer service is absolutely awful, they are so unhelpful and nobody knows a damn thing. Different employees kept telling me two different things and just kept making excuses for everything that was going wrong. I called ahead of time to reserve two lanes, then they say "oh no you don't need to make a reservation" then they say "we can't get you in for an hour & a half without a reservation" then they say "you have to make a reservation online, but it takes 24hrs for us to receive it online" Blah blah blah blah blah! Then to top it off I have an employee named "Frida" who kept giving me BS excuses & knew nothing at all. And as far as eating goes you have to leave your table to go order your food & drinks at the bar because they will not come to you. Their serving was awful as well. It's like nobody here gives a shit about their customers. Seriously the worst customer service ever.They need to train their staff & get experienced managers. I took my family today for the first time. My husband had a "fun card" with almost $50 on it from a party he attended several years ago. The games are too expensive, all the claw machines are rigged to where your chances of winning a prize are much less than any other claw machine. I don't see this place existing in years to come. Terrible. Approached a young lady and told her we were first time customers and interested in sitting down to eat. Asked her if we could have a table and she said "I'm not sure what's going on because no one is bussing" we looked over and there were about 10 dirty tables and no one cleaning them, and maybe another 10 open tables with no one at them. She didn't put our name on the list so she kept sitting other people before us. It took 45 minutes for them to seat us and then no one came to ask for our order. So we went to the bar and it took 20 minutes for them to ask for our drink, another 10 minutes to get them. She forgot some of our drinks but told us she gave them to us already, we pointed to them sitting by the POS system getting warm. This place looks very nice and flashy but is understaffed, and the staff they do have are very young, and don't know what they are doing. My family and I have been to ME multiple times, and each and every time we've had a blast in terms of playing games, even when we celebrated our son's birthday party there. However, this review is strictly in regards to the recent experience we received while ordering food/drinks. We came for a birthday party on a Monday, which also coincided with MNF. When we arrived, the seating area around the bar wasn't fully occupied. There were probably a handful of people sitting at the bar, and 3-4 tables occupied, so we grabbed a table. We were never greeted by a waiter/waitress. We also noticed that there were only two bartenders working, so we wanted to facilitate our order by ordering at the bar. I ordered a cobb salad, and my fiancée ordered a burger with fries. During our wait, other tables were getting occupied, which I'm sure, created more work for the two behind the bar. However, it took 15-20 minutes to get our drinks, which weren't alcoholic, and an hour to get our food. During that time, I noticed multiple employees (waiters/management) just standing around talking. My fiancée even got up and saw that our food was sitting at the window near the kitchen. She also asked about our food and was responded with, "oh, they haven't brought it to you, yet?" Once we received our food, my salad didn't come with dressing. We addressed this immediately and was told that it would be right out. I waited 10 minutes, got up, and went to where to kitchen was. I was asked by the same person that delivered my salad and told I needed dressing, "what do you need?" Really? At that same time, an employee walked by and overheard what I needed and immediately got me some dressing. I'm not going to lie, but I was irritated by the lack of service, and honestly, still am. This place is good for the games, but it's not the greatest in terms of customer service/management. I'd rather go to a comparable place in Uptown. read more

Went to Main Event for the first time tonight. While eating our gelato, we watched a bartender & a waiter pick almost every glass they touched up by the rims. These were drinks that were being served to customers. So their fingers were where customer's mouths were going to go. The bartender also laid paper tickets ON TOP of the prepared beverages coming into contact with the drink itself. After witnessing ENOUGH, I asked for a bar manager who looked extremely uninterested in what I had to say. We watched him go whisper to a DIFFERENT bartender than the offending bartender. Of course after a few minutes, we witnessed the bartender & waiter proceed as usual touching the glass rims & laying tickets on top of the beverages. I know I'll NEVER order a beverage/Mixed drink here as I don't know whose hands will contaminate the rim of my glass. It also brings into question how the food is handled. So Mr. Uninterested bar manager who apparently hires idiots or just fails to train properly can know that I'm making sure EVERYONE I know knows how nasty this place is. read more

We went for my friend's kiddos birthday. It's EXTREMELY loud; they even blast top 40 music into the parking lot. The exorbitantly loud outdoor tunes are not too horribly offensive when you arrive, but when you leave after having all of your senses assaulted for hours it's over kill and makes you want to throw rocks to break out their speakers. It's so loud, I don't know how the workers there don't go postal within their first week on the job. Aside from the stroke-inducing noise levels, the inside is actually super cool (you litterally have to yell even when only inches from the person you're talking to; they could solve this by simply turning down the volume on EVERYTHING in there). They have multiple bowling lanes, laser tag, just about every videogame imaginable, and a trapeze climbing thingamajig. On Mondays (the day we happened to go) you can do all of those activities for a flat $10 per person fee, not including bowling shoe rental or video games, which is pretty awesome and makes taking your whole family halfway feasible. One thing that bothered me though is that a lot of the video games have almost naked porn star type women dancing on the screen. I am not uptight by any means, but it felt inappropriate to see them bending over to show their ass considering a lot of small children were playing these games. They also had unethical games where you gun down animals such as elephants and tigers, which also had near naked women prancing around when you would score a "kill." But that's 'Murica for you. On the upside, there is also a huge ceiling projector that beams a FREE game down on the floor which changes to a new game about every two minutes; tons of kids five and under were having a blast playing there. It was cool they have free entry and provide some entertainment that parents don't have to pay for. I also really like that they have lots of pool tables, so it's a great place to take teenagers. The overall layout is good and the service in all areas was prompt. But whatever you do, do not order a mixed drink from their bar. I had the worst all almaretto sour of my life. My friend got a Blue Moon cocktail. It sounded awesome on the menu but tasted like the bartender mixed beer and dishwater together, threw an orange on the rim and served it up. This is definitely the type of place where you would be wise to stick to the tap beers. The only food we had was one appetizer to split - a spinach Parmesan dip. No joke, I'm surprised I didn't have a heart attack right there at the table. The salt content was so absurdly high, I sincerely believe I exceeded my salt intake for the next three months. We should have sent it back. I would be willing to try other things in the future, but I am definitely wary of the food. Perhaps this is the type of place where it's best to grab a bite before or after and just use them for what they're meant for: fun and games and nothing more. read more

Let's start with the pros: * Nice, open building. Still new so it's still clean * Pretty fun activities including bowling, gravity ropes, lazer tag, shuffleboard, pool, and a decent selection of games. * Food is decent, haven't had anything terrible but nothing has been stellar either. Typical bar food. No complaints here. Now for the cons: * Service is very slow. Whether it's the bar which can take 5-10 mins for a bartender to even acknowledge you, or the servers (especially in the bowling alley) can take up to 30 mins to come by. This sounds like an exaggeration but there is a timer that let's you know how long you have left of your hour to bowl. This is particularly annoying because at this point you have 20-30 mins to get and eat your food before your hour is up. * Sometimes there are malfunctions, lazer tag vest won't work or the bowling lane will freeze for 10+ mins. Can take a while to fix, usually they'll add extra time or something. Which, is nice. * Team members seem to avoid helping guests at all costs, especially the ones in blue shirts. After asking 3 of them to place a drink/food order, we finally went directly to a server, who are the ones in black and white, and asked her to come by. She did and was the only helpful person in the entire place. * Our bowling lane froze and wouldn't reset the pins. They told us 3 times it was fixed by tech. 15 mins later it started working again. They added 30 additional mins which is nice, but a manager or someone should have at least stopped by and kept us updated. Overall this place has a lot of potential. It's fun but slow, expect to be here for a while. read more

For starters this is my 3rd and FINAL time coming here. The games were decent and had a good time playing. The bowling in my opinion is overpriced and the service is horrible. We sat down, got our lane and began bowling. Almost literally finished our first game before we finally had to walk up to someone and ask for service. Waited another 15-20 mins before finally taking our order for them to come back and tell us 20 mins later that the kitchen closed. Mind you this was the 3rd time with almost identical experiences. I can only hope they either greatly improve service or hire better management/staff especially if they're going to charge those prices. read more

The place itself is great. However you pay per hour. The hour begins when you pay and NOT when you start bowling. 4 adults only bowled 1.25 games in an "hour" was actually 40 minutes. If you take time to get food, help your kids, get your ball and start, you can only bowl for 30 minutes. Isleta is the same but like most alleys you pay per game, so I recommend Isleta. read more

Main Event is extremely expensive. The service was terrible as well. The first time I visited was when it first opened and it was packed with not enough people working for the amount of people there. I chalked it up to just opening. The most recent visit was about a week ago and not much has changed. My family and I went to bowl on a weekday night (4 of us). The place was not too busy but the prices of everything from bowling to food and drink were ridiculous. On top of a more expensive than any bowling alley hourly rate the shoe rental was ridiculous. It cost us $47 for the four of us to bowl for an hour and time started once you paid so by the time we got our shoes changed and picked up our balls and the fact they put us on a lane right next to others when there was more than enough space to spread people out we only got one game in. The service at the bar was terrible no one around at all for about 5 minutes and we ordered food from the kitchen and about 20 minutes later they came to tell us the item we ordered they were out of. Won't be visiting here again. If you want to bowl stick to the bowling alley. read more

Showed up a non-busy time (middle afternoon) and decided to eat before playing games. Ended up waiting for service for over 30 minutes! Never even was asked for drinks from a server. Needless to say I got up and walked around to see what they have here that's "so great" and left promptly after. Dave and Busters wins this one. Service sucks and games are the same at D&B...and at D&B I can stay all day and play..unlike this place. Won't be returning unfortunately. Sadly this place is not worth all the hype. I loved the atmosphere and had an amazing time! Except the ending of the night. The event center closed at 1200 and exactly at 1201 we were approached by a security officer which took the beer from my mouth while I was drinking it. I was appalled, but not wanting to cause a commotion I didn't say anything. I'm super disappointed in the main event for allowing their security to interfere with there customer service. I would have finished my 8$ beer before exiting the front door, but I was rudely interrupted by their APD security. Completely unprofessional and inappropriately addressed at the end of the night. Please fix this issue for better for better customer service. A security officer should not be able to touch a customers beverage, while drinking it especially. The main event staffing should be the only employees to be able to touch a beverage during closing time. read more

It was a bit below okay. It sucks when you have to wait 45 minutes to go bowling when there are open lanes. I also waited 45 minutes to not play pool. I'm was new to how everything worked there. I asked to play pool and this bartender gave me this buzzer thing without telling me ANYTHING. I really dont know how this thing works and she couldn't take 10 seconds to inform me on anything. There wer also 3 open pool tables and while I was waiting for 40 minutes, some new people started playing and I still didn't get a chance to. I was also sitting right in front of the bar. My buzzer did nothing. The bartender could have just told me "Oh, I'll be right there with you in a moment." It wasn't a severe issue but come on. There are 3 pool tables open, I still had to wait a long time, and the customer service was not existent. Yes I could've asked someone but all the employees were running around doing something and the bartenders were doing barely anything. read more

This was not my place. Vegas atmosphere in a warehouse. Cranked up music and flashing lights. I waited in a line for 1/2 hour before we just left. I'm not sure what I was in line for because the signage was not helpful. I'm sure I'll be dragged back for a kids event, but that won't make it better. read more

IF YOU VALUE YOUR CAR, DO NOT GO. THEIR 'SECURITY' AND 'SECURITY' CAMERAS ARE ALL FOR SHOW. I went to a going away party on June 22nd arriving around 7:30pm. I left around 11pm and found my car had been wrecked. Bumper stolen, scene completely cleaned up as though I drove my car and parked it just as I found it. Which is was left in the same spot as where I parked unmoved, but wrecked. I was in direct line of sight of 2 security cameras, and the 2 rotating security guards were useless. No one saw a thing, heard a thing or even reported a damn thing. Even with one of the security being a former police officer not one of them could tell me the time in their rotation my car was first noticed. There has been zero recourse for them or the sham 'security' IPS but my car needed $2500 worth of repairs and 1 month later, 1 extended car rental at over $800 plus gas and car sharing; I finally have it back. When the incident investigator called they were told that the cameras were facing a 'different direction.' Really? BOTH of the cameras that were in direct line of sight of where I parked? Even the other camera that was on the opposite corner? No, totally unacceptable I call BS. There hasn't even been anything done even though I had filed a police report as soon as I had a rental car. Nothing. I will never return and anyone considering should seriously take their hard earned money elsewhere. It's not worth it. Not by a long shot. read more

Went there for the second time last night and it was pretty slow for a Saturday night. We decided to go bowling and walked up to the counter. The girl working was rude and quiet, couldn't hear her in this loud place. She offered us the fun pass so we bought 7 of them. We proceeded to bowl and the lanes weren't crazy busy. The waitress finally came over after 20 minutes. She was very sweet and brought us our waters and 1 beer. She returned without 2 beers and said she would be back. Meanwhile, we saw her talking to her coworkers for 30 minutes and still no beer. We also ordered a pretzel that took 50 minutes to get. Almost an hour for a pretzel! When she brought that, she was talking crap about her coworkers to us and was blaming them for the delay (highly unprofessional). Our waters were empty and she never came back to fill them or ask us if we needed anything. She also never brought us our tab/receipt. She was basically nowhere to be found. We played games and laser tag after bowling. The guy in laser tag seemed mad and like he didn't want to be there. The whole atmosphere of Main Event for a slower Saturday night was just weird and unprofessional. For my second time being there, I probably wouldn't go back. For such a big entertainment place that's supposed to be fun, it was overall a bad experience and I think that this place needs to work on their customer service. read more

This is my second time coming here and I will say the first time was great because we bowled. First off they charged me $2 each for two cards to "activate" them which they didn't do last time. The same guy "waved" my sisters activation, which I don't understand. We sat down to order lunch at about noon. Had to go to the bar to get service after sitting there for 15 minutes. The guy came and was fine. After we got our food he NEVER CAME BACK. I had ordered a drink when he brought the food which never came. We had to go to the bar to get our tab and a box after waiting 40 minutes. I told the bartender I never got my drink (which he charged me for). He says oooh ok. Literally walked away and started taking other peoples orders at the bar ignoring me. I go tell the manager who says oh the bartender must need help. What do you need. I tell him well I just want you to know this was terrible service and he says oh sorry. No offer to deduct our $140 bill or compensate us in any way. There were TONS of workers walking around and I had to basically beg for help. Not going back. Our group easily spent $300 there and it's not cool these big box places could care less about customer service. read more

Worst food service I have ever experienced. Many employees walking around like they're lost, confused, and unhappy. It took 15min for anyone to get our drink order. When our drinks were delivered, they were the wrong drinks. The girl said she would tell our waiter. About another 15min for the waiter to come back to take our food order and 10 more min after that to get correct drinks. 15 min after ordering our pizza came, and it was actually pretty good, but we never saw our waiter again, for more food, drinks, or even water. Some other waiter came and said he is actually our waiter, but before we even finished eating he said "I need you guys to pay so I can cash out". After telling him that we weren't ready and wanted a couple more drinks and to finish eating, he told us "Well I need you to cash out because I need to leave", in an incredibly rude manner, and walked away. That made me angry, especially my gf who has been in food service her whole life. We put our cards in the check holder, he grabbed it, came back for us to sign, and walked away. While I was signing the check, he came back and was standing incredibly close to me, too close for comfort, staring at me while I signed the check. If he did that 15 seconds sooner, I would have written "ZERO" for a tip. At that time my gf then signed her check while he was staring her down. He grabbed the checks quickly and didn't even tell us thanks, or bye or anything. WORST SERVICE OF MY LIFE. I will be recommending that people NOT eat there. read more

Me and my boyfriend and his brother went out to have a good night and play pool and they let us know it was last call so I started finishing my drink and one of the security guards grabbed my beer as I was drinking it telling me it was illegal what we were doing and I asked him what it was we were doing that was illegal and he ignored me because I was finishing my drink at last call? so as we walked out the security guard was watching us as we caught an Uber and when we got home I called to make a report about the security guard and the guy that answered sounded young took my information down and as he was asking me what happened he hung up on me and when I called back he would not answer the phone. so I will be calling the corporate office and Reporting this security officer who had no right grabbing the beer out of my hand as they mentioned it was last call and also reporting this young man who should have taken down my information and also taking my statement who hung up on me. I do not recommend anybody going to this place for any kind of entertainment because of the poor customer service that they provide and if they know you are right they will treat you bad..
