Love their ice cream. Hate having to wait till spring but it's time again to have favorite ice cream creation.

Service, and consistency. Main event would be great if they had consistency on the portions and the prices. Everytime I purchase the same food and all I ask for is enough toppings for the amount of ice-cream. In my day a banana split was a banana split because of the many toppings. Today I purchased my regular banana split and my husband and I were out of toppings before even mid way though the pint sized sundae. I went up to inform staff and an argument ensued between the owner and myself simply because I told her we were out of toppings. The 2nd problem is the prices fluctuate everytime I go there. She has a bunch of young kids and herself that need to figure out the price and the ratio of toppings to a good banana split. I have no problem paying for it if it is good! read more

Main event used to be great. The owner was always there with smile in her face. Now that she's not there as often the service is terrible. Today April 26,26 had the worst service ever, I ordered 5 ice creams. Two of them I repeated the order more than 3 times. The girl was very rude and before she went to make the ice creams I said do you have the correct order she said, "yes". I had ordered a peanut butter ripple instead she gave me butter pecan, they're not the same. I said this is not what I ordered, she began to shout at me. I did get upset because I try for her to make sure she had the order correct and obviously she didn't. She charge me for the other I cream too. She made the mistake and I had to pay, ok fine I paid. But this high schoolers that work at this place have no professionalism in customer service. I ask her for her manager and she said, "I'm the manager". I could only laugh. I feel bad for the owner Shelly because she was great. But this is the last time I will be buying at this place after 19 years being a loyal customer. If that girl was the manager I can obviously see how the business is being handled. read more

I have been coming here since I was a kid. I never had a problem. I am also not sure who they have hired recently, but the service is terrible. Both times i have came here during the pandemic, I was left waiting for my sundae. The first time, the owner gave me my money back because I waited so long. Today I come here and get forgotten again. I go to the window for me to gave to remind them about my sundae, for them to tell me they are out of the ice cream I wanted. I asked for a refund. They will not see me this season again. I have been going to main event for several years never had an experience. They have new staff now and everything sucks. I ordered a banana split today clearly asked for it and server gave me melted ice cream. I complained and he made lies saying it was hot was the reason it was soupy. After I denied that lie, he blamed it on the ice cream being a softer type (which I got hard ice cream) so that wasn't true then proceeded to state that the toppings is the reason it melted. All lies. When he remade it it was sloppy and missing the fricken bananas! Like how!? I'm sad to say that one stupid server has ended my years of service with his blatant lies, smugness, and terrible service. There's no reason I was treated so poorly. read more

I'm still thinking of my sundae. I got the soft serve vanilla custard with butterscotch and whipped cream. The best combo ever. I could tell this was a local favorite because I saw a lot of people coming and going and quickly ordering. Knowing the menu without even looking at it. There are a lot of options so take your time in making your choice. Quick service too! read more

Kids liked their ice cream but the customer service sucked. My dad ordered and said chocolate avalanche with Pb cup. The server didn't hear him and asked if he wanted vanilla - he just agreed with whatever she said. Then when we waked back from car to say we wanted chocolate they wouldn't make it. They'd rather argue with the customer and just hand $ back than remake what the customer wanted. And they said to just throw it out, i tried to offer it to the employees and other customers on line.
