Really horrible food/business management. Went in during a Nuggets game and expected it to be busy (it really wasn't) and would have been fine with wait times, but this was out of control. We had been sitting at a table for over 30 minutes before anyone even checked on us. Alright, they finally arrived so we ordered appetizers. The apps showed up about 10 minutes later, which was great! The pitcher of beer that I ordered 45 minutes earlier? Still nowhere to be found. We weren't even provided with water to wash down our food. When I went to the bar to check on our drinks (twice), I was first dismissed with a mention that our server would be bringing it out. The second time, the bartender made eye contact with me only to talk about me animatedly to another employee. This employee asked how he could help and I explained I placed an order for a pitcher 45 minutes earlier, with no response. He said he was committed to making it right...it showed up 15 minutes later, but hey, at least we had water at that point. Not going back - we stayed for the game but I don't need to be bad mouthed by staff when making fully reasonable requests. Oh, and I don't think they track table orders at all. They just send servers out to ask tables if the food matches their orders. At least, that's what I saw at least 5 different times. read more

If they ask you if you want to open a tab please say NO. I tried to avoid having to pay multiple times but instead after I got my food and drinks I was told they needed to check my card to make sure I had money on it. I asked the lady to please just close the amount then to avoid the hassle since apparently they seen broke on my forehead.. pretty discriminating if you ask me. I gave her my card to close out my order. After she charges me I go on thinking I'm good and right before my family is done bowling my server proceeds to tell me I need to pay again because the first charge was just to see if I wasn't broke. I only had cash and they don't accept cash so another family member had to run their card and get charged as well with the hopes I get my refund at the end of the night as they said I would. read more

The review is hard to leave because you really want to love the Summit. The bowling and facilities deserve 5 stars but the wait staff, check in staff, and bar deserve one star. First, when you walk in, the teenagers behind the computers that get your shoes will not make eye contact even after you greet them. We had people around us that they helped first even though we were there first. Secondly, it's impossible to get food and drink because you cannot order at the bar if you're bowling. You have to wait for your waitstaff to come around which is fine in theory, but if you don't see them you are never able to order. We were here for 3 hours and I saw our waitress once. When I asked other waitresses and the bartender if we could order from them the answer was no. It's really disappointing because we were actively trying to spend money. Honestly come to bowl but come in after you have already looked at the menu otherwise you will not be able to get any food or drink. read more

The outside of this building doesn't gives many clues about what's inside but once you're in it's much like a small Boondocks or Dave and Busters! My family and I stopped in for a unscheduled bowling game and it happened to be happy hour! My family of 4 bowled for 90 minutes for $17 with shoe rental! Such a good deal!!! We ordered food for us while we bowled. It was typical bar food; burgers, pizza, nachos, adult drinks and soda. The food was average for an establishment like this. The cooks did forget to put cheese on the nachos and the burger wasn't the best but our waiter was very helpful and polite! Only staff complaint is the teens at the front desk seemed happier to y'all to one another than help a customer. I did have to ask for their help because they were mid conversation despite seeing me, the only person in line. The staff was very attentive to sanitation and social distancing as well. Absolutely laughable service. Waited the get seated for over 5 minutes, just to learn that the hostess was in the booth next to us on her phone the whole time. Server was barely around and it took over 20 minutes to get a beer...there were only 3 tables seated so not busy at all. I then got to watch more people wait at the front to get seated while the server AND the hostess sat at the booth on their phones ignoring everyone. TERRIBLE service. Proceeded to take my kid to play games afterwards and half of them barely worked, felt like I got money stolen from me to tonight. 0 out of 10. I recently coordinated a dinner for a local non-profit organization (MC-1 Foundation) and the dinner was at The Summit Thornton. The dinner was for 52 persons on a Saturday evening. From the beginning of the planning stage, to pre-selecting the dinner menu for each guest, through the end of the evening, the staff at The Summit did an amazing job! Paul Porter, the Assistant General Manager, and Heather Black, Regional Sales Manager, were always available to answer any questions I had before and during the event. Heather was extremely helpful in assisting me with the pre-event menu selection and she was patient with our group's last minute menu changes. On the event of the event, we were greeted by Banquet Captain Heather Copeland, Alyssa, and other staff members. Paul Porter was also there to ensure our event was ready to go in the private room. We needed a place where our guests could enjoy a nice dinner (the food was delicious) and we wanted to ensure all guests would be served at the same time (which they did). The Summit was the perfect location for this event because not only did we want a fun place for the children at the event (they played in the arcade area) but we really needed a private, quiet place so our guests could enjoy each other's conversation. The private rooms were perfect. Thank you again to ALL of the Summit Thornton staff that made our evening comfortable and enjoyable. The Summit was extremely busy that evening with all the other guests enjoying bowling, arcades, the bar and more, and yet we felt as though we were the only ones there - they made us feel very special. read more

this is the worst food I've ever had in my life..Aramark who serves jail food ,food at stadium ,is deluxe compared to this place . the chicken strips are so hard they literally cut my gums trying to bite into them. no flavor ,and the flavor that u do taste is coming from one of the watered down dipping sauces . the staff is friendly enough, but half the games were broke down ,like don't you have employees to fix those? Visited on a Saturday night - but evidently after rush because we immediately got seated in the restaurant at a relatively quiet table (by request) He ordered a bacon burger - really very good because I had a bite of it and I was on salad patrol so I the Crossroads salad. What was outstanding was our wait woman - so good I gave her props to the manager as we left. Our first time but an excellent first impression so we'll be regulars. I'll gladly never return to this establishment. 3/5 employees I interacted with were extremely impatient and rude. Lazer tag guy was the only staff member to show care for his work and his customers. The food is outrageously priced for it's quality, and the drinks were hard to stomach. I had a chipped beer mug that resulted in nearly swallowing a 2 inch shard of glass. This was one of those experiences in which I would only hope that this was an "off" night - I refuse to believe at 4 stars after 500+ reviews that this is commonplace for this business. Just a little bit more attention to customer satisfaction is going to go a long way - no business in this particular industry cannot survive on league play alone; once this is realized I'm sure that management will help point their employees in the right direction. 10/10 would NOT recommend this place. Way too over priced and they charge for dumb things. One important thing I want to mention is that they charge a "$15 reservation fee" for booking online. When I went to the front desk and asked them about it, they said that the $15 is charged because they use a "third party company" which is complete BS. There is NO explanation of why that fee is there on the website. Also they charged us for wanting to extend our bowling time even though no one was coming in after us. What's the point of "unlimited" bowling? THE WORST PLACE FOR ENTERTAINMENT EVER. Never again will I return. read more

This place is a ton of fun! Whenever my family comes to Colorado to visit my parents, it's one of the places my kids want to visit. The staff are attentive, the food is decent, and all of the areas are clean. Folks who complain about mask mandates during COVID and give one star: come on. People who complain about short-staffing: read the news. Any news. We wanted to put the bumpers up for my 8-year-old, and they got it taken care of immediately. Ryan, the GM, was great, and made sure we were happy. The drinks were cold, the food hot, and the bowling was fantastic. NOTE: heed the warning about not walking on the lane past the foul line. I crossed it because the little one actually got the ball stuck between the gutter and the bumper, and fell on my shoulder. It is remarkably slippery. Zero fault of Summit, and entirely my own. Here's the reason for the four stars, and many people have said it: the $15 "reservation fee" is kinda ridiculous and is 10% of a 6-person reservation. Get rid of it. It almost made me not reserve our game. It's actually a big deal. Please renegotiate the terms or find a different vendor! read more
