I've never been to an arcade place where a roller coaster arcade was $4!!! They don't have unlimited play by the hour and so all we can do is either wait for the 9847733 kids waiting in line for the ropes course or play pool so we did and it was about $6 an hour which wasn't bad but this place is so unorganized. You have to go to different places to purchase stuff such as for ropes course, you can't get it at the main cashier, you have to go to the prizes and for pool, you have to go to the bar. I came here for a work function shortly after they opened and was very impressed with Main Event's Tulsa location. It's very similar in setup, price, and decor as the OKC location, it's not too difficult to see the different areas that Main Event has. Laser tag, a ropes course, bowling, billiards, shuffleboard, and arcade games galore! We stayed over in the dining area next to the pool tables where our buffet was set up. (I do hate that they only leave it set up for a set amount of time before they throw whatever we didn't eat away.) The service was fantabulous. The catering was delicious. And my few hours there were definitely entertaining. At one point, I overheard one of the staff members near the catering table said, "My turn to dance!" to a coworker when a song came on that everyone knows all the moves to. They even did the electric slide to get the party going! This place is all kinds of fun. It's definitely a little pricey, but the prices are still competitive for entertainment. We had our twin's 9th birthday party at the Main Event recently and I will not book a birthday here again. The facility is great, but the service is lacking. Party hosts are not very confident or skills to work with children. They stand along the wall until you insist they move to help. The male manager of the party hosts was constantly apologizing and trying to make things right, but the female staff seem very unmotivated to take initiative to do their job. Came here on a date, and it was the perfect place to do so. I was happy to see how clean, spacious, and fun this place was. We went on a Tuesday night, and it was still pretty bumpin. Bowling: Expensive - but the lanes are glow in the dark, the seating is clean and comfortable, the scoring system is new, and their are TVs everywhere to watch whatever game or music video your heart desires. Also you get complimentary socks if you forget yours :) Laser Tag: SUPER fun. Right next to bowling and only $6 a person. This was probably my favorite activity of the night. Next guy comes and they put him right beside us. Our game shuts off after an hour. I'm told to wait in line. A guy comes to the side and pays and gets a lane. Cutting in front of everyone. I'm left to wait while families order shoes get lanes? Really? Mgmt needs to walk around a little more and speak with people. Maybe see their dirty tables. read more

My low rating is based directly on my experience with the employees. I never usually write reviews, but after last night I felt inclined to do so. I LOVE going to Main Event. There is so much to do for such a great price! Not to mention, the nachos were delicious and so cheesy!!! However, the customer service was seriously TERRIBLE. Besides the front desk employees, everyone else looked miserable. Nobody smiled. Nobody was even friendly. One would think that the employees should be smiling and trying to hype the customers up, this was not the case. One employee in particular" Raquel" was extremely rude. I felt like I was going through security at a prison instead of what should've been a fun gravity ropes experience. Literally the worst customer service I've ever experienced. It was our first time here (moved to Oklahoma 2 months ago, saw you guys on the side of the highway). We came here on a Saturday night with friends to have a bite to eat and bowl. The food options are kind of limited due to the fact that the food comes out fast and is great for families. We ate in the bar and the service was so so. The selection is your typical bar food and pizza. But it was good food and the portions were generous. We also bowled which was a lot of fun. I did find out later that you could reserve a lane ahead of time online. Our wait was 1 1/2 hours at 7pm on a Saturday night which wasn't bad but reserving online would be much better! Where do I start...this place was beyond awful. Let me list what all was wrong with this horror of an experience: - I thought it would be more beneficial to buy an unlimited bowling pass for my family since we planned on bowling more than one game. Well...there is an hour cap on your lane time which they don't bother to tell you. I understand the point, but when you pay $100 to bowl, you expect to bowl more than one game and then get kicked off the lane. - The lane was awful. I am not a pro bowler by any means, but I am pretty good and like to spin the ball and I am not a "Straight ball" bowler. The lane was so dry and not taken care of that the ball would grip unnaturally no matter how I threw it and went straight into the gutter every time. I had to resort to straight bowling just to even try and enjoy it. The lane was awful. They clearly don't know how to take care of lanes. - The lane was broke for 20 minutes. Then, the person that helped us said they credited us back that 20 minutes, which they did not, and then they kicked us off the lane. If you are bowling in the middle of the game, they will kick you off regardless. They have no etiquette or understanding. - The bowling alley lanes were so cramped. I consistently had little kids elbowing me in my back and wanted to turn around and slap them, but restrained myself. Parents apparently don't know how to take care of their kids at this establishment, and there is no divide or space between you and the other obnoxious, trashy family if they get put next to you. - I demanded a refund because of how incredibly poor the experience was, and they would not budge. I never complain because I hate people that complain, but when I complain and I am legit angry with the service I receive, you know it sucks. I am one of the most easy going people on earth and this place single handily ruined my day, and my parents' day as they came up to visit me for 2 days from Alabama and we haven't seen each other for a long time. After we left here, we were all so pissed off and irritated that we could barley salvage the day. The only thing that made it better was some dessert from Braums. - In other news, they claim they have 22 Oz beers on draft. Such a lie...now...I love drinking beer and I am a beer geek. I know a 12 Oz glass when I see one. I told the person who served it to me and she rolled her eyes and proceeded to tell me it was a 12 oz. If it wasn't a 12 oz, it was barley a 14. Sure as hell not a 22 Oz. glass. Verdict - This place is a rip off. It was the worst experience at any entertainment facility I have ever had. Customer service is non existent, and I would of done better taking that $100 and going to a casino or setting it on fire. Bowling alley lanes were improperly taken care off, super cramped, and way too many annoying families to even slightly enjoy the time spent there with mine. Friends and I went to the Main Event Entertainment in Tulsa over the weekend looking for something that was exactly that... entertainment. The entire place was extremely loud and overcrowded with toddlers running around like drunk people, and drunk people running around like toddlers. They offer smoking in the outside dining area, which lingers to the front of the building, making it uncomfortable for those waiting outside. The first thing you see is a customer service desk with screens above it listing all the events and all the prices for the events. After standing in the long line for about 15 minutes, they tell us we are at the wrong desk, and this desk is strictly for bowling--although every event is listed above. They directed us to the proper desk for the event we chose... which is all the way in the back where the gift shop is. We stand in line AGAIN and finally purchase our ticket (only to find out we were given the wrong time). Again we wait in line, and we make it to the front. The "manager," Zach, comes over to offer assistance, but only makes things worse. Eventually, we are ready to play. And despite all this, the laser tag was actually enjoyable. Another worker helping with another event, the Gravity Rope, used profanity in a conversation with a fellow co-worker right in front of me, a customer. She, whose name I wish I knew, did a poor job setting up my harness. Thankfully, before starting the event, another worker recognized her mistake and corrected it before I had a nasty fall. Thinking I finally found a nice and helpful person in this establishment, he makes a racial slur about the woman who previously helped me, and used profanity. Main Event has a lot of cool things so do, but the arcade can get priccccccey. Seriously, the normal price for one game of Skee-Ball is $1. A lot of the casual arcade games are in the $1-$1.75 range, but there are flashier games (such as enclosed box shooters) that are more expensive. Selection-wise, they have a pretty good spread of games. They have the classics: Skee-Ball, claw machines, and ball-throwing games. (Alas, there's no Big Bertha machine, but they do have Down the Clown.) They also have Korea's version of DDR, some linked head-to-head games (basketball, snowmobile racing, and a skiing game), and a lot of shooters. I was actually surprised at the variety of shooters at Main Event. You can aim a light gun at pretty much any noun you can think of: terrorists, large game animals, zombies, zombie pirates, dinosaurs, and a bunch of other things. As far as the non-arcade games go, the bowling was fun; the consoles have cute scoring animations that will put your face in the scene. Otherwise, it's just bowling. Laser tag was pleasantly devoid of small children, but that may vary depending on when you go. Overall, Main Event is pretty fun, and I'd give It another star if the games weren't so expensive. Look at their daily specials or for someone else to foot the bill. TL; DR: Main Event is the place to go for light gun games if you've got $$$. read more

Fun place to take the kids particularly for bEARTHdays or to celebrate an occasion. It can get a little pricey with playing the games and buying food so it's not a everyday type of thing. However the games are fun for grade school aged kids and the food was pretty darn good as well. I ate pizza and wings and thoroughly enjoyed both. Working hard to have a good time here although the manager, that checked our *reserved* paid party in was rude and treating everyone like cattle. He sent us to Laser tag and told us to be there at 7:15. We went to laser tag and were told we were late (at 7:15) by the kids behind the counter. So the kids only got to do half a game. At the end, the manager, John, asked the person who paid how everything went. She told him about the laser tag issue and he got everyone in for another round. Most of the other staff have been nice, particularly our server Lauren as well as Tim and Kobe at the front counter. The food was way better than a typical place like this with a great selection on par with D&B. Game selection good as well. They may have been having a bad Friday night. I would still strongly recommend avoiding Main Event until they work out their people issues, particularly on busy nights. We plan to try it out again on a slower night like Monday. read more

Came in on a Friday night for a bachelorette party. We knew that coming at 7:00 it would be busy. So we asked to be sat outside. The host seemed to be annoyed by the request. The server was ok. He didn't have help that he needed for a party of 8. I also got hit in the head with a tray by a server and did not receive an apology. We thought we would play laser tag. Stood in the line in the front lobby only to be told that we were in the wrong line. And we had to go to the winners Center to get put on the list. YOU know how 1 bad reviews scares you off?? Well this won't be one of those. We read several bad reviews and were almost talked out of going. Went on thursday about 4PM for the summer $15 thing. We played 1 hour of bowling several hours of Pool played a few arcade games but all are min of $1 each with some that are at chuck E Cheese for .25 was a bit much. So then we played a few games of shuffleboard. It was fun we had a great time. We could have done laser tag but decided we were tired after 4 hours of play. So maybe another time. I really think if your going to do arcade do the monday night pay 1 price. Otherwise it is way to expensive. But i love the all you can play of Bowling, laser tag, rope walk, shuffleboard and pool. It was not busy we had plenty of time to do everything. I can imagine this place gets crazy on fri or sat nights however. The only reason i didn't do 5 stars was the arcade games are just way to expensive. Most every game was 1.50 -$175 and some even $2-$4 and I'm sorry thats just way to much for a arcade game. Sure some of them were pretty flashy but still its still just an arcade game. If you can do the summer or winter fun pass for $10,16 or $18 depending on the time of day you go and stay for several hours its worth it and you can have allot of fun. Avoid at all costs!! Literally, this place is a rip off!! They charge by the hour for bowling and then additional for shoes. Then when we wanted to add an extra hour for bowling, the employee ALLIE was extremely rude and wouldn't allow us to purchase an additional hour without being put on the "wait list." There were at least 15 lanes open!!!! We hadn't even received our food yet because our server didn't arrive until we had been sitting there for 20min. Keep in mind they start the clock as soon as you sit down. You haven't even had a chance to put on your shoes, look at the menu, etc.. By the time we started bowling ten minutes had already passed!! Next time we will gladly go to a LOCAL establishment such as Broken Arrow Lanes that is much more friendly and charges per game not per hour. Will never come back here again. read more

I went to Main Event tonight and had a horrible customer service experience. I came in and went to the bar to get a drink, and when asked for my ID I provided a state issued picture ID, and the bartender stated he could not accept said ID. I went on to show a photo of my driver's license to accompany the other ID I already gave them. The manager then proceeded to tell me he could not accept either one, and when I told him I would be leaving a negative review about my experience, he proceeded to deny my boyfriend a drink as well and refused to let us order food. read more

Too many are broken, don't work-out of order, no balls in 2 ball games & skeeball Zero out of 6 work. While visiting a friend, we decided to go out and have some fun since we had some kids with us. Knowing the business closes at 11pm we got there at 7:30 thinking we had plenty of time. We walked in, looked cool. I walked up to the main desk asking if we get a preloaded card or how everything worked. The gentleman advised we load money on a card to play arcade games and bowling, laxer tag, pool and the course was extra. The gentleman sold us on this day pass for $20 a person(seems like a good deal). Well we play the arcade, get some food then go to play laser tag. Well not knowing, they close that part at 9:30, it would of been good to know to go do that before since we paid for it. So the guys played pool for about 30 minutes. We decided to go bowl a game, we get the games going and get 3 frames in and the lights go off, everything is closed down. We were not able to use our points on our card for prizes for the kids, we were not able to finish out game. We just felt very rushed out.
