Now, I'm not gonna hold you... it was expensive. I ordered through DoorDash and got a burger with jalapeño ranch, bacon, cheese, and a prickly pear lemonade. (The lemonade honestly just tasted like regular lemonade. Nothing to hype up.) My friend got tacos, a blueberry lemonade, and ranch, and somehow our total came out to $78. Absolutely wild. But back to this burger... I got it cooked medium rare, of course. I actually asked for no house sauce, but they put it on there anyway. Normally I'd be annoyed, but honestly... it didn't even matter because that burger was STILL incredible. As I was biting into it, the juices were literally running down my hands, onto my shirt, and onto my pants. Did I care? Absolutely not. I ate about 75% of it in one sitting because it was huge. Later, I came back and finished the rest cold because it had lettuce, tomatoes, and pickles on it, and I was too lazy to take everything off just to warm it up. And somehow... it was still delicious cold. Oh, and the tater tots? Super crispy. They paired perfectly with the jalapeño ranch.

No matter what else I order, I always get a turkey taco pack. Not sure why or "how" the turkey tacos are put together changed, but fix it back. The thin shells fall apart before you can get the tacos to your mouth. And the price point is too high for the short shells to now be half full with exactly 5 strands of cheese per taco. Lastly, the very first question I asked when I walked in the door - after greetings - (and I asked as a reminder to them), do the tacos COME with green onions or do I have to add them? Answer, "Yes, they come with green onions" Bet! Only to get home and not a green onion in sight. Argh! Not sure it's worth the drive anymore.

Been driving by this burger joint for approximately 17 years and never have it a second thought…read moreuntil just recently. Four days ago, I decided to stop by and check it out. It's a to go only joint. No place to sit unless you go old school 5-0 and use the trunk door of your shop as a table. 1st time I ordered the chicken teriyaki bowl, very basic, chicken and rice only. Surprisingly, there were big chunks of chicken and the sauce was no overly sweet or thick, it was perfect in my opinion. The small bowl was very filling. I told my wife about it and the next day I order a bowl for her to try out. At the same time I ordered a teriyaki burger for me. The burger was a mess when I got home, the bun was soggy with the juice of the meat and the sauce. Plenty of napkins needed; however, the charred meat combined with it's flavor and the sauce made this a perfect meal. Ate it like a savage with sauce dripping at every bite. Today I looked at some reviews and a Yelper noted that he would challenge anyone to try the chili and to disagree that this chili was one of the best ones around. Well, I accepted the challenge and ordered a chilli burger, in case the chilli sucked, I could always just eat the burger. However, the chilli is very tasty and not oily as some other places I have tried. I concur with the other Yelper and would say that this is one of the best chilli I've had in a long, long, long time. The location is nothing to write about but you can always close your eyes when ordering and they will be open once you take a bite, at least of these three items I reviewed. Service was friendly, but as others have suggested, call your order in advance. You might encounter a long wait when you show up and get in line to order at the window. I will continue to frequent this location and will try a hot dog or chili dog next time.

I was greeted with a smile and my dine-in experience was very nice. The grilled fish plate with garlic noodles & veggies were delicious. And the crispy green beans were cooked to perfection. The crew at Uncle Mac's Kitchen keeps things smooth, friendly, quick, and on top of orders without hovering. It's the kind of service that makes a casual seafood joint feel dialed‑in. Drinks, plates, extras... everything landed fast and hot. Food Highlights This is where Uncle Mac's really flexes. * Grilled Rockfish plate, "Wow" Clean, flaky, and perfectly seasoned. Light char, great texture, and a solid portion. One of those plates that feels both healthy and satisfying. "Oh yeah!" * Shrimp tacos, Juicy shrimp, fresh toppings, and a good balance of crunch and citrus. Easy win. * Fish burger with homestyle chips, a true sleeper hit. Crispy fish, soft bun, and those chips? Thick, crunchy, and addictive. * Tom Yum sidewinder fries, Wild card of the evening. Tangy, spicy, aromatic, like Tom Yum soup decided to become a fry seasoning. Weird in theory, fire in practice. The place is bright, clean, and super casual, the kind of place where you can walk in after work, grab a plate, and feel instantly comfortable. Modern touches, plenty of light, and a steady flow of customers. Only downside: parking is chaos thanks to the shared lot with every other restaurant in Gardena. If you see an open spot, take it like it's the last lifeboat on the Titanic. Miguel C.

Let be honest, this place is the kind of glorious chaos you only find when the universe says, "You…read moreknow what? You deserve a little trouble tonight." Party on Western is a hole‑in‑the‑wall dive bar in the most affectionate way possible. The kind of spot where the lights are dim, the playlist is fire, and the walls have definitely seen some things they'll never speak of again. You walk in and immediately feel like you've joined a secret society of people who just want good music, strong drinks, and zero judgment. People will always judge...who are we fooling. lol!! The playlist? It was on point for the spot, it wasn't just good, it was spiritually aligned with my bloodstream. Every song slapped. Every beat felt like it was personally trying to fix my life choices. I swear one track looked me dead in the eyes and whispered, "You're doing amazing, sweetie." Let's talk about these drinks because they were flirting with me HARD. * Jack on the Rocks, a simple classic that's smooth, cold, and acting like it knew me from a past life. It slid across the bar like, "Hey stranger... miss me?" * Chilled Tequila Shot...Wow, this one didn't flirt. This one grabbed me by the soul and said, "We're making memories tonight." * Jack & Coke, it was sweet, bold, and absolutely lying to me. It told me I was the main character. It told me I was unstoppable. It told me I could dance. It was wrong... but I believed it. Ha ha ha! By drink three, I was ready to text people I shouldn't and tell the bartender my entire life story. Didn't happen though. Ha ha ha! Oh wait a minute...I almost forgot...I ordered some hot wings to set the tone, and let me tell you, they came in HOT like they were auditioning for a music video. Perfect bar wings: messy, spicy, and exactly what you need to convince your stomach that the tequila was a good idea. Typical bar food across the board, nothing fancy, nothing pretentious, just the classics and messy at its best. But let's be real: the drinks are the main event. The food is just there to keep you from making catastrophic decisions. At one point I swear my Jack & Coke winked at me. The tequila shot told me I deserved happiness. The wings told me to stop being dramatic. And the playlist told me to live my truth. This bar didn't just serve me drinks, it emotionally supported me. For better or worse, get over it! "The energy you give is the energy you receive...always keep that in mind! Just be happy!" Miguel C.

This place is old‑school comfort food, no dancing, no gimmicks, no trendy nonsense. Just a classic Gardena "G-Town" burger‑and‑breakfast joint that's been feeding hungry locals longer than some of us have been alive. I rolled in absolutely starving, sat right at the bar like I was front row at a breakfast concert, and ordered the steak and eggs with extra meat because my soul said "don't play with me today." And let me tell you, they must've seen the hunger in my eyes because that plate came out loaded. I'm talking "this might be a personal rescue mission" levels of loaded. When I saw my plate, I was like damn ...I am going to get personal and tear you up! That's how hungry the beast was inside of me. No regrets at all! The steak came out tender, salty, satisfying. And the eggs, over easy cause I wanted to make a mess of my beautiful plate. This whole plate felt like a warm hug from an old school diner that knows exactly what you came for. I must have had hungry....hungry written on my forehead head? The service was quick, friendly, and efficient, the kind of speed that tells you they've been doing this for decades and could cook breakfast with their eyes closed. Watching them craft my meal right in front of me felt like breakfast theater, and honestly, I couldn't wait to tear into my meal. If you're hungry, hurting with that feed me pain in your belly, or just need some soul‑curing comfort food, Rick's will fix you right up.
