This was actually a gift from my high school swim team, and I didn't really know what to expect. Laurie immediately put me at ease. Her presence is calming, and she has a way of making you feel safe and comfortable right away. Beyond her skill (which is excellent), what stood out most was how much care she brings into her work. It doesn't feel transactional at all--she genuinely seems to love what she does, you can feel that in her work. She helps you connect into your bodies needs! The experience ended up being surprisingly healing. I was able to release a lot of stress and grief I'd been holding onto, be really present and even felt a meaningful sense of connection and reflection during the session. It has a minimalistic meets industrial chic ambiance. I live in Seattle but I drive all the way here to see Kim for spa services, it's totally worth it! I've tried the facial, massage, and waxing services, and can confidently recommend all of them. This is not the swanky kind of spa that charges you for the "experience." The spa portion of the space is smaller but practical. I thought the one thing I couldn't live without was the waxing service. Kim uses the best quality wax that doesn't irritate my skin and makes it the least painful waxing experience I've had. One day, I decided to try a 30-minute massage with Kim and walked away feeling so relaxed and relieved of all my tension points, I had the most restful sleep that night. I've been coming back since then for the massage and I highly recommend it. Kim knows what she's doing and if you like deeper pressure points, she's your girl! The prices are more than reasonable for spa services. I have yet to try the workout classes, but looking forward to trying one soon. P.S. I had a pretty good experience here -- major complaint is that the "uniforms" they give you are not…read moresize inclusive (only up to a point) -- and they are hideous!! Luckily I did bring my yoga pants and they said it was fine for me to wear my own clothes in the meditation rooms. Normally I go to Olympus, but the last few times there it was so crowded and pretty dirty. Q is definitely a lot less crowded and much cleaner. Also, I went with a friend on a groupon which you should definitely check for as I have seen them offer these quite a bit. So process is -- you check in and they give you the "uniform" -- they only have up to size 2x and it is a small 2x IMO -- more like a 1x. It is a tshirt and shorts. They also give you your locker key. Q Spa is coED but they have separate bathrooms for men and women. They only thing coED is the meditation rooms, the common areas and the cafe. So, after paying and getting your uniform you proceed to your designated bathroom/changing room area. Your locker key has a number to show you which locker you are assigned to -- the spaces for the lockers are a little narrow, but not as much as Olympus. You can either change to your uniform or you can head straight to the pools. I like to do the mediation rooms before I get wet so after changing I headed back out to the common area. There is at least one meditation room on the ground floor but the majority of them are up stairs. I am not sure if there is an elevator for someone that is handicap? But they had a salt room, a chill room, a charcoal room and a sand room -- I love the meditation rooms. I guess the only weird thing is that there were men sitting in the common areas outside of the rooms just working on their laptops -- seems like a weird thing to do in a spa! So my friend and I spent about an hour and a half in the meditation rooms and then we were ready for the sauna, the steam room and the hot tubs! They have three different hot tubs of varying temps and a sauna and a steam room. In this gender segregated area, you remove your uniform -- so like Olympus you need to be comfortable in your own skin. It wasn't crowded at all (unlike olympus where you can be boob to boob with someone). My friend and I enjoyed this section of the spa -- it was very relaxing. We were starting to get hungry and noticed the cafe opens around 11am. So we got changed back to our uniforms and headed to the cafe. I love Korean food -- I can't recall what the dish was called but it was one of those stone bowl dishes where the food is still cooking in the very hot bowl. It wasn't quite as good as Olympus but it was still pretty yummy. Service was friendly and pretty quick too. I will definitely try Q Spa again.

That's exactly why this afternoon's visit was so disappointing. I stopped by to ask for a brief tour so my college-age houseguest, an international student, could see the space and decide whether to bring her friends. I've done this before with other guests and family members without issue. This time, the male staff member at the front flatly refused, saying tours are "only for paying customers" even after I explained I am one. The lobby was empty and quiet; there was no operational reason to say no. He was dismissive and looked me over in a way that felt judgmental, which left me embarrassed in front of my guest. The woman working alongside him was warm and professional, which only makes the contrast more striking. I've been coming here longer than some of the current staff, and I'd hoped that history would count for something, or at minimum, that basic courtesy would. I'm not writing this to cause trouble. I'm writing because I care about this business and want to understand how a simple request to show off a space you should be proud of turned into me apologizing to my guest for how we were treated. Other services include: Relaxation Massage Infant, Maternity and Teen Massage Foot Treatment Spa Massage Dermalogica Face and Neck Massage I received a Foot Treatment which I believe involved some reflexology technique and then a Spa Massage with a paraffin wax treatment on my hands and feet. The foot treatment started with a soak and then pressure point Massage. I was so surprised at the tension I was carrying in my feet! The spa massage was very calming and Shannon was amazing. She adjusted pressure to my comfort level and answered questions I had as she worked. The paraffin wax was new to me but left my hands and feet soft and moisturizer.
