I went in to get my eyebrows waxed and they didn't look great but i was like whatever's im not gonna complain cause they can't do anything but have the nerve to ask me for tip when I have wax in my hair and wax still left on my eyebrows I mean and I told him they were uneven and he said where sir can you see all the wax that she left in my hair I mean it's ridiculous. I have no problem paying the fee because I already got them done. Came here for the first time to get a regular ManiPedi. Everything went smoothly and they were able to see me as a walk-in really quickly. Pedi was relaxing and included a leg massage for $35 total. Mani went really smoothly and quickly as well and since I got the regular polish, I ended up having to stay here for a while to wait for it to dry. They didn't have any "instant dry" sprays. Only $25 for regular mani. This place is huge and clearly can accommodate a lot of people. They have waxing in the back as well. Atmosphere is very chill with music and calming images on TVs. This is my go to salon! They're the best and so reasonably priced. I always see Lynn for my nails, today she did an ombré pink & white dip. I am in love with them! The salon is beautiful, you're offered a complimentary beverage while you have your service done. It's so lux. My nails usually cost anywhere from $40-50 depending on the service. I've paid upwards of double that for worse nails at other salons. Techs are always friendly and I'm never waiting too long. I've been coming to Stella since they opened a few years ago. I've always had great service. In the past, a few times I have asked for the Deluxe Pedicure with paraffin instead of hot stones. The taller manager would say yes, no other discussions. Today, different front desk guy, I asked for the same thing, letting him know the other guy allows it. He said "yea, we shouldn't be doing that. You can choose the Luxury Pedicure and get he paraffin." I told him I wasn't going to argue, and went to pick a color. During my pedicure, the attendant, very nice gentleman, brought the paraffin out and I thought 'oh, that's nice, front desk guy allowed my request'. When he walked by, he let me know he upgraded me to the Luxury so I would get the paraffin and a mask. Wait! What?!?! You upgraded me and are charging me more without asking me?!? WTF? When I went to pay, I told him I would pay for the Deluxe, not the Luxury, he argued that he did it since I wanted the paraffin, he changed it to the Luxury. Reminded him he did it without my permission. He conceded. Not sure I will be back, this one experience has ruined it. I know quality and service can vary per salon, however, this was unfortunately the worst experience I've ever had. I had asked for dip and choose a vibrant lavender color. However when applied on my nails this was much lighter in shade. The nail tech said I needed more layers to bring out the color but even after 4 layers, the color was still more of a pastel lavender instead of the bright lavender color. The other issue I had was that when the dip was applied, not only did it look thick, but it also wasn't applied to my full nail. There was a gap towards my cuticle and the sides of my nails weren't completely covered. I think this added on to why my nails looked so thick and ugly. I requested she buff down the mail more to help not make it look so thick but there was no saving it. I had respectfully requested she remove the dip powder off my nails because they really did not look nice at all and would rather have nothing on. I had also asked for my cuticles to be cleaned but she ended up cutting a few cuticles too short which caused me to bleed from 3 different fingers. When I was getting the dip powder removed the cuts on my cuticles would sting really badly from the acetone touching it. Another (minor) things that also rubbed me the wrong way - I also got a pedicure which went well but after moving me to the tables for my nails, they didn't give me back my sandals and I had to look for them myself. I feel like the overall quality of service was really disappointing. I had really good expectations for this salon as it looked very nice on the inside. I do appreciate my tech being empathetic towards the end and offered to put clear pink over my nails. Sadly I feel like as a whole this was a huge waste of time and money and i will definitely not be coming back. read more

If I could give this place zero stars I would. The day before my wedding my friend and I went to get our nails done. We were both there to get manicures and pedicures. I was 5 minutes late to my appointment (due to being stuck in a little traffic). Unfortunately, when I first arrived I was immediately met by the manager who had a nasty attitude toward me. I have been to this place before (many times as I like the interior design, cleanliness, and complimentary drinks) but always go to the tech Vivian - who does a great job at doing nails and is very friendly. Unfortunately, she is not there so I wanted to give someone else a try even though I've had mixed experiences with other nail technicians in the past. HOWEVER, this is the WORST experience I have ever had. I brushed the manager's attitude off as I was not going to let him ruin my day. Prior to sitting down, you indicate on a piece of paper what services you're wanting to get done and if you would like any drinks. I indicated on the sheet my request and asked for a hot tea. The tea was not brought to me in a timely manner as I was halfway through my pedicure and I had already asked five times for a tea. A caucasian woman next to me asked for a soda once and got it right away. Of course, this made me feel like I was being discriminated against. To make matters worse, I wanted a French tip pedicure but the gentleman who did my pedicure was not the best toenail designer and the lines were all crooked. I asked if someone could fix it and provide the design I requested. The manager rolled his eyes at me and laughed at my request. Since it seemed like my simple request of a straight line French tip was too much to ask for- I requested a simple polish change. I then received the polish change I requested, but as my picture shows below the job was not done well. He tried his best and was nice to me about it. However, I was on the verge of tears after this horrible experience before my big day. After my pedicure I wanted to get out of there as quickly as possible so I changed my mind about the manicure because I did not like the way I was being treated. I opted to get a shellac color only and was met with the same eye roll and disrespectful demeanor from management. My shellac nails came out just okay and the lady was nice. Lastly, upon checking out I stated I should be offered a discount for the service and not being happy with my results or experience - the manager laughed at me and said why do you deserve a discount - you picked the older nail tech. So in other words it was my fault. He also got upset about the amount I tipped for my service. Honestly, I did not even want to leave a tip but did so for the technicians. I have consistently come here for the last year and half and have to share my positive thoughts on this nail salon. Not only is it beautiful, it is very spacious with lots of chairs for nails and Pedis. The open spacious location really helps reduce the "nail salon smell". There is a gentleman, Sai, who is upfront and keeps the place running smoothly. The only con is it's hard to get the same person twice as there are so many employees it's hard to keep track. My pedis have always been consistent and the one time I wasn't satisfied I called later in the day and they got me in and corrected it that day. Well I hate to do this, but after attempting to speak to management again today, I am leaving this review. Overall, Stella is a lovely salon with a great looking space and cleanliness. Their biggest downfall is their unreasonable manager who has no idea how to work in a service-driven space. Below I will describe in detail how he is impatient, rude, and really on brand with the other bad reviews prior to this one. 2 days ago I came in for the first time as my friend who got married yesterday picked this spot. I got a shellac pedicure and shellac manicure. We got treated very bad by manager from the get go- since he seemed upset my friend was 5 mins. Late to the appointment (though I was in time to inform him she was on her way). He refused to wait for her so we could start our service together (he mentioned having more appointments, but in the next 2 hours I was there only one more person came in). He refused to have us stay together throughout the whole time and as soon as they said my shellac was done they rushed me to the table to do my manicure. I have no idea why the manager was rushing us out, and it clearly led to my pedicure getting ruined! Since it was shellac and it's supposed to be completely dry I put on my socks and I didn't notice until the next day my foot was ruined. This is also not his fault but my manicure did begin cracking on the second day, for which I had enough and decided to return for a partial refund so I could go to my usual nail place to have this fixed. (I did not want to deal with the attitude of this manager anymore). When I arrived today he met me with the same attitude and refused to give me any refund. He offered to fix the shellac, but given how he treated me and my friend (she had a way worse experience I am sure she will leave a review for someday) 2 days ago I did not want to have them fix it just have some money back since I paid $130! I hope that the owners consider training him for better service in the future to other people who choose to come. read more

Was pretty safe and distanced. The woman that did my pedicure Vivian was amazing and I felt really great with the pedicure. I needed everything she did and I did the more expensive one $55? $50? The 50 minute pedicure. The woman that did my $25 polish-less manicure just did everything except for trimming my cuticles and getting hangnails which is really disappointing because that's one of the reasons why I wanted a manicure to begin with. I've never had a manicure where these things weren't done. I felt like I paid $25 for a hand an arm massage with a nail trim. She took me all the way down nail wise but never checked in on the length as she was cutting down until she finished one hand and asked if it was good. I did get the mani + pedi at the same time. The woman that did my boyfriends manicure kept cutting him and asked him to turn down/off his machine (unsure which), but she kept cutting him and drawing blood. I'd give Stella somewhere between 3 and 4 stars. Atmosphere is definitely 5 stars. Very nice atmosphere, very large space, clean, nice receptionist as you enter, and they offer a variety of beverages while you get your nails done, including wine. I got a basic pedicure for $35. My nails /feet look good. But with the basic pedi, they don't even massage your feet! I don't think I'll be back. I got a regular mani pedi, not gel. My fingernails were cut unevenly and some edges are rough. The nail beds still look dry. Not great overall. The pedicure polish wasn't very good either. In the lower corner, there's no polish. Many spots where the polish got on my skin and he didn't wipe it off. Again, not great. Not sure if I'd go back. Maybe if I just got a basic mani or pedi because the price is reasonable. read more

After searching around for a fave nail place post-pandemic (my usual place in Lynnwood went downhill during and after the pandemic poor dears and honestly driving that far out of my way was getting difficult) I have been recently most pleased with all my visits to Stella beginning in the early March timeframe. This will be my regular spot from here on after! I do recommend making an appointment especially Fri-Sun, even if you just call several hours ahead as they can get quite busy. There were a couple of times I just walked in and they could not fit me in. Prices are super reasonable/ comparable to other nail salons in the area (Classic Mani is $25, Classic Pedi is $35 for the base prices with plenty of room to go up with add-ons and more fancy luxe versions) but there is no comparison to the ambiance at Stella. It is a large, open, airy space that is thoughtful designed and decorated and never feels cramped or cluttered. They offer a complimentary beverage with each service, including the adult variety. And the way they bring trays of little bowls for each service with all of your eye-catching products arrayed is SO aesthetically pleasing, it's genius! For some of the higher end versions of the manis or pedis, you get to choose your scent from among 6 or 7 options (you don't get a choice with the classic but you still get a smaller set of the one scent option), and the palette of products that arrive is a veritable paint chip kaleidoscope through a color family of hues. It makes my heart go pitter patter how gorgeous it looks. But I normally keep my monthly manis to the basics and only splurge occasionally on the more fancy treatment versions and appreciate the value. I do usually go for the shellac to stretch the life of my mani and it is an additional $15, just FYI. You definitely need to go here but just make sure it's not when I need mine done ;P read more

The people there were very sweet minus the manager. I had to drive all the way from Tacoma 3x that week because they kept popping off. When I returned on the 3rd time to just ask for a refund for the nails that kept coming off. The manager argued and started yelling when I asked about the policy. By the end of the conversation he threw $10 at me on the counter after making a scene.
