My friend took me to Lux & it was AMAZING!! I've been getting my nails done since I was 8 & this was the BEST nail spa experience I've ever had!! We came from Whidbey island, an hour away & it was SO worth it!! They have so many options for colors and 6 different types of manicure or pedicure treatments. They have the lowest prices I've seen in a long time too. Every person that worked on me was so so sweet and friendly!! I wanted to note that it was a Saturday & the salon was very busy & NOT ONCE did I feel my service was rushed or was there was stressed energy coming from staff. I have really tried to like this place but every time I make a visit, I always find myself going back to my regular nail salon. On the most recent visit, I had made an appointment for a dip mani and when I sat down, one of the staff kept trying to persuade me to do Gel-X. I finally said okay, and then I was told that I should cut my nails short. I was not willing to do this because my nails have a bit of length to them and I prefer to keep it that way. We talked about just doing an overlay then, and there was some back and forth which I honestly don't understand the reason. The whole thing was exhausting. Personally, I don't like it when I am asking for a service, and they try to give me a different service. I have been getting my nails done for years and I know what I want. At the end, when my nails were under the lamp because I added on chrome, the staff doing my nails would communicate to me to take my nails out of the lamp by literally grabbing the lamp and lifting it up. My hand was still in the lamp...very bizarre. I've never experienced this at any other salon. Furthermore, it took almost 2 hours because they don't have a cashier. So every time somebody was checking out, the staff doing my nails had to get up to help them. This salon gets busy enough that they have to turn people away for services so having a cashier honestly would be beneficial. read more

The service here is great, as soon as you walk in they ask if you would like a drink. I was seated within 10 mins and they started. They paid attention to the photos I brought and put in a lot of detail and time. They also tell you that if anything happens to your nails to come back and they will fix it for free. Came in with a friend getting a pedicure. The lady was really rough on my feet and cut my big toe while using the nail file. And now my other toe is super sore today, can barely walk on it. If there was no stars I would put that instead of 1 start I just wasn't really satisfied with paying for 120 plus tip the man who I guess is the owner was aggressive and rude and ruff with my nails and I was starting to get upset and you can tell once he kept telling the other tech about a nail salon I went too and he didn't think I would understand him but he was bashing me in Vietnamese then he told me to cut my real nails I understand the reasoning but the way he asked me wasn't it he also told me they weren't busy and I'll have a nail tech it took me a total of 4 nail tech to help do my nails all because I didn't want to do gel X he got upset with me when I told him I didn't want to do gel X it's too cheap and I kept telling him I just wasn't happy with the results every time my real nails are naturally thin and they break easily so I go with acrylic Then he starts to put the fake nail on and starts to bash my right hand ring finger that's naturally bent to the left a little and glued the fake nail on wrong I had to correct him and he was rushing my service like he wanted me out of there then I told him he needed to chill out because he was hurting me he apologized but didn't seem sincere then he proceeded to start to cutting the fake nail for the length and he was visibly getting frustrated when I kept telling him shorter I like my nails medium length and he told me my nail beds were too ugly would make my nails look ugly if I cut shorter so I didn't get the desired length I wanted and he didn't like that I was telling him short so he made one nail into medium almond shape I just told him yes because he was actually weird I wasn't trying to stay in the chair anymore after that After he puts the acrylic on then he switches himself out with a different nail tech who was lovely and kind i adore her she was the sweetest sole she then shaped my nails made them beautiful then after the service she gave me complimentary message told me I need to call in because they were busy mind you I told the guy in the beginning I could wait and come back when it's not busy because I knew it was going to take a hour or so but he insisted I sat down the service took 2 hours with me sitting there and waiting at the end of my service he offered me 5 dollars off didn't tell me the reason and I honestly felt like it's slap in the face for even receiving that for how poorly the service he gave me was I've been here before for a pedicure I was happy to be there and thought to try out the other services but respectfully I will no longer be coming back if that man is going to be ruff rude and talking bad about me in Vietnamese he thought that I didn't understand him I wished I didn't pay I should of left the moment he started to take off the gel X off my hands read more

They had this cool sign in thing where you put you number and it pulls up your appointments. They did a fantastic job and it was very quick. I am reluctant to make this review because I had such an exceptional experience and I almost wanna gatekeeper. I didn't find much on yelp in terms of menu so I went into the salon, thinking the worst. I was immediately greeted with such hospitality and kindness. I saw the menu. I chose the premium pedicure because I really wanted to get the entire experience. Mai was the one who was chosen to do my pedicure, and I feel like I have found another great nail tech! Lucky I went in when I did because this place gets packed fast and they do not mind having a waitlist! I never felt rushed, and I never felt guilty for taking up space as other nail salons might make One feel. They asked if I wanted water or tea, they were always asking if everything was OK. First time coming here. I decided on a whim to get a pedicure this afternoon (Wednesday) so I decided to pop into this salon which is a convenient location. The lady who came up to the front, looked kind of annoyed, when I said I didn't have an appt., she said they can take me in, handed me a booklet and asked me which service I wanted. I chose the gel pedicure with massage. When I sat down, the staff that was going to do my pedicure did the same thing, handed me a booklet and asked me the same question so I let her know, again, which service I wanted. I thought, ok what was the point of asking me up front if you're not going to let the lady that is going to do my pedicure know? The pedicure itself was ok, the communication was a bit of a struggle due to a language barrier but no problem because I could tell she was trying. I also thought the pedicure dragged a bit so I had to (in a polite way) ask the lady if we can quite hurry. it took a couple times to explain but she responded and was nice about it. A few customers did come in throughout my service and each were offered a beverage. In fact, the young woman next to me was offered at least 3 times. I on the other hand, was never offered anything. Overall, I'm not sure if I'll come back since the entire experience didn't feel welcoming. read more
