This humble little storefront masks a phenomenal pizza place. I got a slice of the patti pie, which had mozzarella, vodka sauce, and basil on it (there's also a variant with tomato sauce, mozzarella, and pesto). Sesame seeds were embedded in and on top of the crust, which gave it an amazing touch. If you're a fan of thinner- crusted pizza, this will be right up your alley. My daughter had a slice of plain, which is her go-to, which means she's picky about it--and she adored hers. We also got garlic knots, and they were perfectly garlicky without making you feel like you'd just drowned yourself in a vat of garlic. If you're in the Flemington area and craving pizza, this is a place to go. While we did not try the Mexican food, the menu for this was extensive. Also, we went on the Sunday. While it's not listed as open on that day, the owner told me they had started opening on Sunday due to popular demand. read more

Jack's Pizza is located along Flemington's Main Street. It's a great place to stop in if you're walking around doing some shopping. Inside you'll find the classic, wooden booths that your old-school neighborhood pizzeria was known for. The staff is friendly and the service is quick! As for their pizza: it's good. The plain is decent with a slightly softer crust, good sauce, and good cheese. The pasta slice kicked but. Wanted a cheese stack and our regular place was close and I knew the old Jack had good stakes also. When I when in to pick up the stakes no one was wearing a mask cooking or behind the register. When I got home with 3 different subs none of them had any flavor except for a burnt flavor. All the stakes were burnt. read more

Jack's Pizza is a classic Flemington staple. I was sad to see the restaurant is for sale when I stopped in around Christmas, though the guys are probably ready to retire and relax! There is certainly a level of nostalgia for me here. So many of my favorite pizza places have shuttered (RIP Dominick's), but Jack's has persevered. Main St has changed significantly throughout my life, but Jack's is a constant. I will be sad if the time comes when it is no longer around! Just as the restaurant has stalled in time, the pizza has never changed. You will get the ultimate Jersey slice here- just right crispy crust, melty cheese, and well seasoned, fresh toppings. The sauce is just the way I like it-- flavorful, but not overpowering. The wrong pizza sauce will ruin things. No danger of that here. I'm not usually a fan of sausage pizza, but Jack's is divine. They always have a wide selection of slices to get warmed up if you just want 1 or 2, but the price of a pie is so low, we always just order a fresh one and take the leftovers home. They were advertising a few specials (Pasta night on Tuesday, I believe). I don't know if I've ever tried anything other than pizza here, but I would definitely give something else a shot! Excellent tacos! Fresh, spicy, prepared perfectly. Subs are okay...good bread but toppings aren't super fresh. The pizza crust is really good...but the sauce is...not good. I've tried it a couple times and I think it's too sweet. I'd give the tacos four stars but the pizza gets 2. Change the name to Jack's Tacos! read more

I finally made it in after working in flemington for 6 yrs. Sal (owner) very nice man who told me he made his eggplant parm from scratch. I ordered it and he was right. Food was good but the portion for the calamari was very underwhelming. You get 2 to 3 times the amount of calamari at other restaurants for the same price. The Italian sub tasted fine but had very little meat on it, some meat but then packed with lettuce and onions. Will not be ordering from here again. read more

I am a Jersey girl who has moved to Arizona on retirement. On a recent trip back to New Jersey we had lunch at Jack's our old favorite hang out they just don't make pizza in Arizona the way Jack does, love their crispy crust. UPDATE: Jack's Pizza deserves your business. While everything is true below, it seems like they are handling the place a lot better now. Deep down they are good people. Give it a try. HORRIBLE service. I only return because the pizza is OK. You walk in there and they don't even treat you like a human being. They might pretend they like you if they think you have money, though. Tried to order one of their meal specials and I forgot to mention I wanted the special which included free wings and a discounted price. Because I didn't mention it in the beginning they told me tough luck. I had to pay more, and I got less. They obviously wish it was still the glory days, but it isn't. The guy with the black Elvis hair only ever wears a greasy undershirt which you can see his nipples through. Worse part is, when your food is ready, he doesn't just tell you. He makes animal mating noises and bangs his hands against the counter and furiously whistles. Make sure you ask for plates or napkins if you want them. They don't give them to you unless you ask. ONLY GO HERE IF YOU CAN PUT UP WITH THEIR ABUSE!!!!!! Oh, and, nobody is even named Jack who works there... Just saying. read more

Very average pizza here - at best. Not much innovative happening on the menu. Can someone in the area please make a great pizza margherita or "Brooklyn style" Sicilian? Sal is from Sicily yet his "Sicilian" pie is nothing to get excited about; same plastic cheese, pretty flavorless. I think this guy lost his enthusiasm for the business years ago. Shopping in Flemington the day after Christmas and stopped in with my family for a quick bite to eat in the evening. A small, very clean, no frills place that's dated but brings you back in time of mom and pop businesses from 50 years ago. Pizza was fresh, delicious and the NY/NJ style was a real treat for us (being from PA, but formerly from NJ). Also ordered a warm vegetable wrap that contained all fresh chopped vegetables (not canned). We spoke with the owner for some time and he's of Italian descent and reminiscent of when towns were filled with mom & pop businesses built on hard work values. They offered a pizza/soda/side special that was very reasonable in price. This was a lucky find for us and next time in Flemington we will definitely return. read more
