She relies on my voice to calm her and I wanted to be nearby at least at first. This isn't something the nearest groomers would allow, so a mobile groomer seemed ideal. I decided to give a spa day to my second dog at the same time, in part because I wanted to make it worthwhile for this company to come to my house. My second dog doesn't like other dogs so we avoid situations like a groomer's. It was a wonderful experience for all three of us. The groomer had been a vet tech and she sincerely liked my girls. My blind dog, who is shy, trusted her right away and that's unusual. She was sensitive to their personalities and needs and so gentle (yet effective) with them. The groomer was really able to focus on each dog and personalize the grooming experience to them. For example, one dog was afraid of the blow dryer so she skipped that. She was sensitive to their needs, and that, as well as having the van come right to our house, was well worth the cost. I'm so pleased to find a service like this in Humboldt. I'm from Honolulu and we didn't even have one there. My special needs rescue dogs have endured a lot and it gives me great pleasure to treat them well and support people who do the same. I also got a big kick out of the bows on their collars after they were bathed. Generally I see little fluffy dogs with them after grooming. My sweet girls, although vastly different from expensive purebreds, looked even better. I hope this business is successful as I look forward to utilizing their helpful expertise again. Rob said as soon as he got him to the vet they gave him painkillers to top the pain while we decided what to do. It was apparent that the damage was so great that we needed to euthanize him. I do keep my cockers' hair short to avoid mats and keep them cool in the Summer. But, yes, they sometimes get matted and gross but Linn always calls me to discuss shaving them down, which I do if that is what she recommends. I have them groomed every 6-7 weeks which keeps them clean and looking good. She's also helped when my dogs have been "skunked". She got her smelling much better than I could at home. Her move to Blue Lake meant driving a little further but it is well worth it to know your babies area safe in her care. I highly recommend her.

We are an outdoorsy, active family and I trust her judgment and consult with her about what is the best cut for my pets. Sometimes they're long and gorgeous and sometimes the mats and sand and tangles from ocean or rivers are too much and it's time for a shave. I don't want my fur babies to suffer because I let them become a mess. The result is that my puppets like to go to Linn's and that's worth 5 stars!!
