We don't often eat at Hotel Restaurants but thought we would try this out tonight and we were very happy we did. The place is beautifully updated in February and has a clean modern look. We heard that the brisket is excellent but neither of us were real hungry so we both had soup and a salad. We were stuffed afterward. I had the wedge salad with a fabulous blue cheese dressing. The soup seemed made from scratch and was chicken gnocchi and beer cheese. Both were a good temperature and very tasty. My wife had the Cobb Salad and an ice cold Spotted Cow Beer. Everything was great from the seating to the flatware to the service. I wish I had room to try a dessert. I wish they brewed Iced Tea but the water is cold and refreshing.

Loved the place. Food was amazing. Pork bites were amazing along with the lamp chops. Must try!

I didn't realize this was a hotel restaurant it was okay as far as hotel food goes. I prefer local joints when traveling.

I don't normally have much good to say about a hotel restaurant as they are all usually just basic brand menus.

If you want steak and drinks but want to dine in jeans, here is your spot. Looking for a date night or entertaining colleagues/business partners, look no further. Or, you just happen to be in town on a work trip and decided to stop in. Why not treat yourself. I dined alone here and sat at the bar with a book. I really enjoyed my meal and the atmosphere. Let's jump right into this review. What did I have? 1. Petite Filet Migon $50 - served with garlic green beans and grilled asparagus - meat cooked to my preferred temperature, veggies were seasoned well and delicious! Pros 1. Large chairs to sit in at the bar - I can appreciate the oversized seating. They were cushy with a large back. Definitely makes the dining experience better when you are in a comfortable seat. 2. I'm techy so the menu is presented on a tablet which I like - great for efficiency and cleaning purposes. *Big pet peeve of mine is restaurants with menus that have the last few meals on the pages * 3. The service was great. The bartender/waitress was friendly and personable. Cons 1. It's pricey, not necessarily a con, because my overall experience was positive, BUT my bill was just under $80, and I had no alcohol. *I didn't visit the women's restroom, so I can't report out on cleanliness. I recommend The Walnut Room if you are staying at The Northland Autograph Hotel, vistor of Green Bay, or maybe a resident looking for good food and a nice ambiance.

I really appreciated the balance of meats, starches, and vegetables across the menu it felt thoughtful and well-rounded. My dish featured a cauliflower risotto that was incredibly flavorful. It's not easy to find places with a menu this well-versed and creative. The interior was unique with a warm, relaxing vibe, making it a great spot for both a good meal and meaningful conversation. Overall, I loved the variety and will definitely be back.

The visit just before Memorial Day was the first in a few years. We had stopped because we thought it was sloping downward but wanted to see if anything had been salvaged. The answer is a negative. The furnishings are old and marred including broken support in the chair seats, the atmosphere is outdated or nil and the food is overpriced for the quality received. Much better offerings are available from competitors for the same price within a five minute or less driving time.. The dish I ordered was not tasty, over-salted and had a complete lack of presentation. My partner ordered a sandwich with chicken for $16 and declared that the meat was low grade. She said she has had better chicken sandwiches at fast food places for less than half of the price of this one. It's too bad because we remember its glory days when it first started and the management and kitchen were at the top of the game. Maybe there is a plan to retire and move on or there's just burnout. We will not know because we will not be returning. [BTW, the waitress gave us very good service and was appropriately attentive without interfering with our eating and conversing.]
