The Main Street Cinema is a cool little spot to walk inside and rest. It's not very big, but enough space to walk in and enjoy some air conditioning. There's multiples tv screens playing black and white Disney movies/ skits. It's pretty neat to see them, but does get boring after a while. You gotta check this out once. Then you've seen it. It's cool though. Especially if you appreciate the old school black and white Disney cartoons!

If it's raining outside or you just want to take a break, a hack is to grab a drink (mine was London Fog Hot Tea) at Starbucks next door and chill in here while watching classic Mickey films. It was pleasant and relaxing while we hid away from the rain. One doesn't get bothered here and to be scooted away compared to constantly moving on the outside.

One of the classic landmarks on Mainstreet USA in Disneyland. This has always been a favorite of mine since going as a kiddo to the Disneyland Resort. I love to see the old animated cartoons, and even say hi to Tilly! Her outfit does change throughout the year, so be sure to stop by to see if she has changed. Stop by for a bit of nostalgia.

If you need to kill time waiting for your return time or just to decompress at the parks, this is a great attraction to go to. ESPECIALLY in the summer since it has AC on. This is a vintage cinema with a ticket box outside for photo opportunities. There are some benches inside facing 6 different screens and a center area where you can relax as well. They play nostalgic Disney animated shorts (the good ol' black and white features). Some of the shorts they show are: 1) Steamboat Willie (1928) 2) Plane Crazy (1928) 3) The Moose Hunt (1931) 4) Traffic Troubles (1931) 5) The Dognapper (1934) 6) Mickey's Polo Team (1936) Each short is about 6 - 8 minutes long and you can just move on to the next screen if you want to be out of the blazing hot sun outside.

Of all the times going to Disneyland and walking by this but never went in to see what it was all about. Well this is a small place you walk into a room with a circle stage in the middle where people sit or lay down on. Around the room are movie screens showing old black and white films of Mickey of course it is interesting each screen is showing a different cartoon it is a bit overwhelming if you're not seeing it from the start but I guess it the Disney magic where you just watch no matter if it's not from the start. This is a great place to lounge and warm up on a cold night or maybe cool off on a hot day haven't done that but this was a great spot to thaw off for a bit when being in the cold night.

This attraction at Disneyland has NO line what so ever. How awesome is that? Wait.. There is a movie cinema on Main Street? That statement is what most people say about the Main Street Cinema. I am even guilty of not remembering that the cinema is there. It is a small opening between two huge stores so it is really easy to walk right by. The main reason this gets 5 stars is because it is still the same cinema that it was when Disneyland opened in 1955. There are still the classic Disney movies such as Steamboat Willie with the introduction of Mickey Mouse playing. When you walk in past the ticket attendant (not a real person) you enter into a room with 6 different screens in the room with 6 different classic Disney movies playing. There is no seating, it was said there is "standing room only". There is a set of steps up to a platform that is a few feet above the ground so the little ones can see over anyone else in the room. I recommend watching from this vantage point. Make sure you check out the Mickey shaped lights on the steps on the way up to the platform. Enjoy the movies and enjoy the Disney history all at once. :0)

God bless Disneyland for not changing a single thing about the Main Street Cinema for at least the last 30 years or so. From the blank stare ticket booth mannequin (who kind of likes me), to the unnecessary, thick, propeller-like turnstile, to the overly air-conditioned, hard, flat, chair-less dark, surprisingly unmanned, tiny theater showing the same traditional old collection of rotating silent animated shorts, to the massive dense red curtains to the marquee and cigar shop indian out front, this untouched time capsule of an attraction is an anomaly.

Sooooo many people just pass by this place to get to the thrill rides or to satisfy the kids need to ride Dumbo. Find the time on your visit to go in here. They play 6 old Disney classic short cartoons - including the one that got it all started in the first place: Mickey Mouse's first show, Steamboat Willie. Bring the children in - they will be enthralled by these fun slap-stick humor cartoons. Make sure they see Steamboat Willie and explain to them that it is the first ever Mickey Mouse cartoon - and important point of history all can learn. Also a fun-fact - the theater has been here since Disneyland opened in 1955. It is cool in the Summer and warm in the Winter.

I was kind of hoping it was set up more like a normal theater, but it was still nice. They play the old black and white Disney cartoons on small screens around the room. It's quiet, cool, and a pleasant little escape from the heat and crowds just out the door.

Ok, maybe this was not the perfect pic. You have to watch it now to find out what's going on!

I received an invoice and contract, and while the contract did state they could cancel due to weather, I was in constant communication with them all week about the rain. I sent pictures of where the setup would be, discussed the weather multiple times, and spoke with them the day before the event. They even confirmed the morning of the party at 9:26 that there would be no issues. The party was scheduled to start at 3:00 PM. At 11:20 AM that same day, I received a call from the owner's husband saying there was too much rain and they could not come out because it would compromise their equipment. This was extremely upsetting, especially since the rain forecast had been known all week and they continued to reassure and confirm up until that morning. When I expressed how upset I was and explained that this ruined my daughter's birthday plans, his response was, "Well actually, we didn't ruin it," which I found very unprofessional given the circumstances. I was so upset that I ended the call. I understand weather-related policies, but the lack of consistency, last-minute cancellation, and dismissive response made this a very disappointing experience, especially for a milestone event like a Sweet 16.

A lot of them are one day only special showings and some are played a couple days, so definitely follow their socials to see what's going to be showing next. They also have their own film club that you can join with discounts and benefits too. They also have their own merchandise too and participate in a lot of local community events, which is always neat. Love to see that. Concessions are also affordable, unlike at large chain theaters. Huge plus. I came back here again recently to watch the Bang Dream! 10th Anniversary concert showing. Lots of cosplayers, wota doing wotagei (Google it, you won't be disappointed) during the showing (testament to how chill welcoming this theater is), and we did a group photo at the end together and there was a merch gathering in front. Absolute W. Since it is a smaller theater, the restrooms can get super busy with lots of people there for a singular event, so keep this in mind if you have to time your restroom breaks best on intermission etc. My only qualm, though might makes sense based on context, but the seats were super uncomfortable (though I was sitting for 5 hours for a very extended showing) and my lower back and butt muscles were cooked. Maybe bring a cushion or something for the next visit.

She advised that my child not return to the theater class - my child was only 6 and was signed up for the appropriate 4-8 year old class. My boy enjoyed going to class, he said he didn't enjoy class ONE time and she ran with that message - I was told not to come back and not to sign him back up next time. She said this to me in front of an audience/parents before (the last day of class) performance. It was very unprofessional to not pull us aside in private to say this. It was disheartening for a mom to see that she was so quick to judge who can stay and who shouldn't. Perhaps, she has limited knowledge of how boys are different than girls but she definitely caters more towards the girls? I'm sorry if my boy was more active and more outspoken than the others. You can tell a lot about a person - have you seen her drive? You definitely don't want your kids near her. Anyway, I've also seen a play here in the past. The sound and lighting were well done and the actors did well. It's a small venue so waiting for the bathroom at intermission is a challenge. The manager/owner has a lot of enthusiasm and energy to get things started. The push for season ticket holders was apparent including cute sayings and sing song slogans that were only known to regular attendees. My biggest con is the seating. I sat on an end, hugging the wall to my left. (D27). In order to see the musical, I had to turn to the side in my chair, careful to not hit the person next to me. This created a low back issue versus sitting forward and turning my head to the right to see the stage with a sore neck. Pro - the show Con - the seating Overall a fair experience.
