We've always paid our estimates at time of service and any additional balances in instances where the estimates may have been slightly off. They continue to state that we have a "family" balance that has to be paid before they will schedule follow up visits. This balance has been reviewed with the business office against the EOB from my insurance in which the EOB does not reflect any patient responsibility. They are trying to balance bill for amounts they should contractually be writing off. This alone has put a bitter take in my mouth and forced me to start looking elsewhere for treatment. ​

I explained that I already had the imaging done and was only trying to get an estimated cost before scheduling anything further. Unfortunately, I was repeatedly told that no quote could be provided over the phone and that I would need to come in for another evaluation. I understand that every office has its own policies, but I was a bit surprised because several other dental offices were able to provide at least a general estimate based on the information I already had available. As a patient, it can become both time-consuming and expensive to continue scheduling repeated consultations for the same diagnosis and treatment discussion. I do feel there may be opportunities for the office to modernize certain processes and better accommodate patients who already have recent records and imaging completed elsewhere.

I was charged $250 out-of-pocket for a "deep cleaning" that they coded as 4 quadrants, even though only 3 quadrants were actually treated. They also separated and billed procedures that should have been included in the deep cleaning, turning what should have been around $65 into a $250 bill. When I contacted my insurance company, they confirmed that the clinic's billing did not align with the covered services. I've been trying to reach the clinic for the past 4 days -- no one answers, and the number they gave me doesn't even connect. This is completely unprofessional and feels like a scam. The deep cleaning itself was rushed and lasted less than 30 min. I strongly suggest double-checking every code and estimate before agreeing to any treatment here.

I formerly lived in McKinney and made the drive to the Garland office and then to the new Rowlett office. A few years ago I moved to Waxahachie, TX, and despite the distance (53 miles, to be exact), I continue to make the drive to Rowlett to Glaser Dental for my regular check ups and cleanings and any and all dental work I need. I know there are tons of dentists in my area, but I am so happy with the care and attention that I get from Dr. Glaser and the staff that it is worth it to me to make the drive. The new office is awesome! The decor is fresh, inviting, and comfortable. Each dental room has televisions so patients can watch their fave shows during their cleanings/procedures and the staff is always attentive to patients' needs. The entire staff is always happy and friendly, the hygienists are very thorough and detailed, and Dr. Glaser is professional and trust worthy. I know that both he and his entire staff really care about their patients and their patients' oral health.
