We love this place! Thank goodness it is not your typical chain restaurant! Go for the lovely atmosphere and fresh food from local sources. From sandwiches to salads to full course meals, just so delicious and memorable. Service was attentive and prompt. Lunch time is easier to just walk right in. Dinner after 5, suggest reservations. Would love to see a creative fresh made dipping sauce for the fabulous homemade fries! All the other homemade sauces and dressings are fabulous! read more

Had lunch here and loved the whole experience. Employees were very nice and welcoming. Food was delivered promptly and was so delicious and inventive. I had grilled cheese and soup. The grilled cheese was cooked perfectly and had carmelized onions in it! It was so good. My son had the schnitzel and loved it. The fried capers on top were the perfect touch. The atmosphere is definitely upscale leading one to expect the same experience with the food. Sadly disappointed with the recently updated menu. Medium rare steak was medium well and so much garlic in the cooked kale made it inedible. Newly renamed pasta dish was lacking in flavor and didn't include even a crust of bread. Would I go again. Great place in a small town with a city feel. Great food, great location, and great friendly staff! Always enjoy this spot for a weekday or weekend family dinner. We enjoyed brunch/lunch today at Main Street Eatery. When we walked into the restaurant there were plenty of tables open and we asked for a booth. We were told that they could not seat us in a booth without a reservation. Weird but OK. The nice thing about the tables is that there is plenty of room - you don't feel like you are sitting on top of the table next to you. It is noisy however because of the hard surfaces. Our server was very professional and helpful. I ordered the cheese burger - she asked if I wanted pink or no pink and I said pink. I think that makes so much more sense than medium or medium well which is open to interpretation. My burger however was barely pink so it was a bit dry. It was good. I was delightfully surprised by the size of the burger - it wasn't the large 1/2 pound burger that so many restaurants are serving. It was the right size! The French Fries were awesome! My friend ordered the Sloppy Joes with a side salad. I was so tempted to order the Sloppy Joes because I haven't had one for years. Glad that I didn't. He said it was more like a bbq pork sandwich and it looked greasy. He didn't complain about it but he didn't say anything positive either. This is a nice restaurant. I want to try the lunch or dinner. I wasn't impressed enough with the brunch menu to drive the distance from the Cities. read more

Great ambiance, and unique menu. Service was prompt and friendly, however, at a restaurant of this level, I expected our server to be more knowledgeable with menu/drink items. When someone asks for recommendations/suggestions on the food/drink, never say, "I'm not sure", or "I haven't had that before". The table they put us at was really tiny too, we could barely fit our plates and drinks on it. Although the booths looked like they were a lot bigger. Besides that a great experience, we will be back. Was also impressed with menu/drink prices, we just moved from Florida, and a restaurant of this level would be double the price! read more

I had the salmon and asparagus linguini, 1/2 size. Flavors were great, ingredients were fresh....however it was served with about a 1oz portion of salmon upon noodles with some bits of salmon (like 3-4 tiny pieces) in it. Yes I did order 1/2 size but I guess I was hoping for a larger meat portion. It wasn't a huge shock as looking around before our meal was served I saw tiny burgers on plates with giant stacks of fries and other dainty portions of meat with a giant side of carbs. My fiancé had the rib eye ordered medium rare that was more well done and had no flavor (but of course served with a heaping pile of fries). He was not at all happy with his food. Servers were friendly and attentive. Overall nice place but don't expect large portions of meat for what you spend. read more

I was working at a construction site near by and searched my GPS for a place to eat lunch with my co-workers . When we arrived I was surprised by how classy the place was and almost left the place since I was expecting a more down to earth restaurant that the local farmers would frequent. I asked the waiter if they had burgers and he pointed it out on the menu. I noticed it was $12 for the burger and when I asked the waiter how big the burger was, he responded 12 ounces (which would have been a huge one). Anyhow, we decided to stay and ordered the huge burgers. I asked for blue cheese and bacon on mine and was told they didn't have bacon so I agreed to porkbelly instead. When the burgers arrived it was abvious they were not 12 ounces (maybe 5 at the most) at which I commented that they were not the size we were expecting. The waiter replied "my bad" in a non-caring and arrogant manner. When I received the bill I realized my $12 burger was in fact $17 ( I guess I was charged $5 for the blue cheese and porkbelly toppings), a heads ups would have been appreciated along with the 7 ounces of burger I was missing. I will admit the burger was delicious and the fries were probably the best I ever had . I just felt duped by the arrogant waiter that doesn't know or care to learn what is being served. read more

We were disappointed, our lunch took 40 minutes to be served to us after we'd order it, our waitress never came back to check on us to see how our meal is. (Only two other couples where in the restaurant)! At the end when I'd asked to see the manager she said there was none on staff tonight. I understand everyone has a bad day, but don't lie. I'd read all the amazing wonderful reviews, my husband is an chef, so our expectations are higher than most. But honestly it would of been nice to have my water glass refilled at least once. read more
