    Ummmmm, where's the pepperonis?
    Tiger S.

Was in Lake Placid and stopped here for dinner. Blond lady at the counter was less than friendly but I stayed anyway. I ordered a pepperoni and onion pizza, a salad, and a kids chicken fingers and fries. I was told it would be 45 minutes and the place was empty. There was another younger lady bringing out the food and she was super friendly. Prices were ok but the pizza had very few pepperonis on it and really no onions. A lot of other pizzas that came out looked great. Maybe just not my night there?!

    Chicken parm allegedly

I would return here if it was the only place in town that was open. Besides that, never again. $11 for a chicken Parmesan sub that had two small pre-frozen chicken tenders on it. The grandma pie, which was not a grandma pie, was wet and floppy and a sloppy mess. I kind of thought for a place that says call home of the grandma pie it would be a little better. It was basically a cheese pizza with sauce and basil on top, not cooked in a pan as usual. Not much better than cafeteria food to be honest and if they weren't right across from the ice-skating rink, I doubt they would even still be in business with food like this. I will say the sauce was good, but not enough to save this place.

    Breadsticks!!!

Ok, hear me out. Dining room could use a coat of paint, new floor, a cleaning and new furniture. Its very hodgepodge and uninviting for eating in. That said, the pizza was absolutely delicious and way better than when I had it for my last review. The crust is delicious with a consistency that was doughy but also crispy. The sauce was delicious (I always get extra sauce on pizza) and they did a good job with my request for only a light amount of cheese I also got the breadticks which are were basted in garlic oil and then covered in grated cheese. These were amazing... they didn't seem like they were just pizza dough baked into sticks. You can tell when places do this because the "breadstick" is harder and denser like pizza crust. The sticks I got on this visit where airy and risen and delicious. They were some of the best sticks I've ever had. I did add more grated cheese to them but there was a fair amount on them. The marinara dipping sauce was also very good. The woman and the guy cooking and running the show were very friendly albeit a little rough around the edges at times. The food came out hot and in a decent amount of time. My recent visit was pre-summer season so that may be why some things such as the fountain soda and main drink cooler were not operational. They still had a small fridge of cold cans of soft drinks so it was still fine. Pizza is highly recommended.

Needed some good home town pizza and this hit the spot! Poor lad was short staffed, but was extremely kind. Worth the wait! The pizza is delicious! The pasta was great as were the garlic knots. Would recommend!

Chef Devin with the Delicious S'mores Pizza!

We stopped here for a quick dinner during our stay in Lake Placid. The service was super quick. Chef Devin is great, he is very friendly and accommodating. Even though they didn't have their special s'mores pizza on the menu that night, Seeing that we wanted to try it really bad, Chef Devin went the extra mile and made it for us! - it was absolutely delicious!

Grandma Pizza with Fresh Mozzarella, Fresh Basil, Plum Tomatoes, Garlic, and Oil

Pizza, Pizza! Known as the "Home of the Grandma Pizza" and I wholeheartedly agree. Plus... one must never ever question "Grandma"! Quick, easy, delicious, and conveniently across from the Olympic Oval Skating Rink in Lake Placid. Their Grandma pizza is made of fresh mozzarella, fresh basil, plum tomatoes, garlic, and oil. The mozzarella was really fresh with their basil and tomatoes tasting like they have a secret garden in their restaurant. No joke! A large Grandma Pizza will run you $15.95. The pizza is 16" - enough for 2 persons for 2 meals. ENJOY!!

Terrible. Sad. This place is a joke. Faith in Yelpers shook. How dare you disrespect grandma like that. small grandmas pie to go on a Tuesday. Pie came out so soggy bottom of the box was wet. Pull out a slice, flimsy whimsy type where everything slid off bc the pie was undercooked! Asked them if they could put it back in Oven to bake longer, to crisps up the Za and not serve undercooked and raw food!! Come on basics. Response: "its like that bc of the plum tomatoes, I cant do that bc it'll ruin my oven, here are extra plates and napkins" WTF. Yes, I understand the plum tomatoes carry lots of moisture, that's why you need to make sure you bake the pizza pie long enough. Gave you plenty of chances to make it right, could offer to make a new one, offer to reheat it, offer to try something else. Instead, this is how it is now to F yourself and eat your raw pizza.

A whole pizza costs 30 dollars and it didn't even taste good. Saddest interior with a hardly functional interior. A travesty.

I sat on the back deck, overlooking Mirror Lake and it was beautiful, especially in the summer evening. Menu is simple Italian with all the normal, popular Italian dishes, nothing really unique, but plenty of delicious options. I started with their meatball appetizer - They were very nice! The order comes with two huge meatballs that are very tender and nicely seasoned. The sauce was slightly light in flavor and not as thick as I would have liked, but still pretty good. Their table bread they brought out with it came with a very tasty olive oil that was seasoned with garlic and herbs. The bread was served warmed, slightly toasted and was great. Next up was their basic starter salad - this was pretty nice too. Dressing was good and veggies were fresh. My entrée was their Rigatoni Ala Vodka - This was really good. The flavors were perfect and the pasta was perfectly al dente. Overall, I thought dinner was great. Service was excellent and attentive too. Definitely would return, especially if I could sit on that back deck!!

While the area is a bit small, any minor inconvenience quickly fades into the background once you see the fantastic views of the lake. A small and simple restaurant that offers at least 5 pastas, 5 different sauces and various toppings. They also do instant ramen dishes with various toppings. I ordered the penne with vodka sauce and Italian sausage. My mom ordered fettuccine Alfredo with chicken and my aunt ordered penne with marinara sauce with chicken. We also got a side of cheesy garlic bread. A lot of food. We were told that the pasta is homemade. The food came out in about 5 to 7 minutes. Hot and savory. The first bites were delicious. The pasta was firm yet chewy and not overcooked. The various sauces were flavorful and not over powering. For me, the cheesy garlic bread was the best. So sharp and full of garlic flavor. The portion sizes are big so, of course, there were leftovers. The restaurant is small with only three tables. There is some additional seating in the hallway. The service was friendly and fast although not always in the restaurant. It was after 8pm and, I believe, they were trying to clean up the pans so they left the restaurant empty at times. It felt weird, being in an empty restaurant. Overall, good food and good prices. You can't beat that!
