Great service from our waiter, Bazzi. Delicious food, reasonable prices. The owner, John, is very nice. Highly recommend!

    Menu

We were staying across the street from the Belvedere, and to say if we didn't, we would not have given it a thought is an understatement. But I'm so glad we did! After a long day of siteseeing, we were all hungry. We walked over to The Belvedere, and it was on the late side of the evening. Our waiter (who also happened to be the owner) gave us a choice of anywhere to sit, and we chose outside. Outside was a bit rustic with instruments of the area up on the walls. Indoor was more modern but very comfortable. We ordered an app (Eggplant Poutine) and my wife and I got some cocktails from their cocktail menu. Fresh bread came out, and shortly after our apps and drinks, all great. Chicken Parm, Veal Parm, Lasagna, and a Delmanaco steak were our orders. All came with a choice of salad or soup. All but the lasagna came with sides, and we all chose pasta. All the entries were fantastic. The marinara was definitely homemade, and the costs on the chicken and veal were just right. The steak was done beautifully, and the lasagna was like grandma would make! Dessert was a lemon cake, some canolis, and a salted caramel cheesecake. Nothing topped off a meal better! If you're looking for a great Italian meal at a great price, even if your not close make the trip to the Belvedere!

Always great service and a cozy environment. Locals bar for the most part. It can be pricey

Go somewhere else. Cheap wine. Food might be better at a soup kitchen. Thought it was a bit more upscale than it was but hubby chose it

I sat on the back deck, overlooking Mirror Lake and it was beautiful, especially in the summer evening. Menu is simple Italian with all the normal, popular Italian dishes, nothing really unique, but plenty of delicious options. I started with their meatball appetizer - They were very nice! The order comes with two huge meatballs that are very tender and nicely seasoned. The sauce was slightly light in flavor and not as thick as I would have liked, but still pretty good. Their table bread they brought out with it came with a very tasty olive oil that was seasoned with garlic and herbs. The bread was served warmed, slightly toasted and was great. Next up was their basic starter salad - this was pretty nice too. Dressing was good and veggies were fresh. My entrée was their Rigatoni Ala Vodka - This was really good. The flavors were perfect and the pasta was perfectly al dente. Overall, I thought dinner was great. Service was excellent and attentive too. Definitely would return, especially if I could sit on that back deck!!

We ordered a large salad that came with bread and butter. Very soft fluffy Italian bread. The spaghetti with meat sauce ease was quite a lot of meat sauce. Very generous with meat and sausage meat. One of us ordered a side of meatballs and those were quite large. The chicken parmigiana was tender. And also smoke. Everything was reasonably priced and we all needed a doggy gag. Service was friendly and prompt. We will need to come back again.

I was excited to try this place with the reviews but was a little apprehensive when we pulled up - small strip mall that has seen better days but we were hungry and figured we would give it a shot. The interior is cute -- but small. Not many tables but thankfully we were on the early side for dinner so only one other table was occupied when we arrived. We quickly decided what we wanted to eat and placed our order. Our salads came out fast and they were very delicious. I am a sucker for black olives so was thrilled to see them on the salad. I noticed that the other table (a couple) were still waiting for their meal and it showed up a short time later. A few more tables were seated and we were still waiting for our meal. It became evident that there was one server and one cook. When our meal showed up, we were not disappointed. The sauce on my chicken parm was savory with just a hint of sweetness. And it had chunks of tomatoes in it - huge plus for this tomato loving gal! I don't know where they got this chicken breast but it was huge! It was very well seasoned and probably one of the best chicken parms I've ever had in my life! For dessert, my hubby decided to get the cannoli dip. I'm bummed that I cannot eat dairy cuz that dessert was massive! My husband barely put a dent in it and took the rest home for a snack later on that evening. We would definitely come back again if we are in the area!

We were served drinks quickly and brought a delicious loaf of Italian bread. The wine and cocktails were fine. Our salads followed shortly with only 2 choices of dressing, a strong balsamic or ranch dressing. The salad was ok. Some mixed greens and a couple cherry tomatoes. Then we waited and waited and waited. It took well over an hour for our entrees to arrive. We were not checked on during the long wait. When we finally got our food it was mixed reviews. I ordered the scallops and was surprised that was all I got. No side pasta or vegetable at all. It looked pretty with dual sauces but the taste was just ok. I tried some one else's side of pasta with marinara and it was acidic for my taste. Two of my sons enjoyed their dishes. One a mushroom cream pasta and one a chicken riggie pasta. Both were good. My niece tasted too much condensed milk in her Alfredo but enjoyed the shrimp that came with it. The cod that my sister in law got had a good texture and taste. My aunt didn't like her pasta Juliano dish. My Uncle loved his meal. This place is a bit too pricey for what you get and they definitely need to improve the service time.

Do not waste your money here…read more This place tries to give the air of high-end excellence and quality food execution, but it is a complete facade masking terrible food, what seems to be poor kitchen standards, and apparently unyielding and greedy management. There are justifiably blatant ethical and principle issues with how this establishment is run. Last night went downhill early on when a friend ordered a drink that had an awful presentation that the waiter unprompted acknowledged and apologized for how bad it looked. It tasted as bad as it looked. My friend tried to suffer through drinking it anyway, but it was just that bad. Even when we asked for a replacement drink of a different kind and mentioned that the original should not be charged given the circumstances, management ultimately refused to comp the botched drink, hiding behind a rigid no-refund policy. This is frankly absurd and not in line with the standard operations of an establishment, especially one facing poor customer satisfaction. Things got dangerously worse for another friend who ordered a dish containing what seemed to be imitation lobster. It tasted funny and had a weird, overly chewy texture from the first bite. There are serious concerns here regarding deliberate ingredient sourcing decisions and cutting corners on quality. Whatever contributed to the glaring food handling and sourcing issues of that meal ultimately made my friend severely ill to the point that he was throwing up later that night. The rest of the food was just as bad. I ordered the chicken parm, and it blows my mind how a kitchen can completely miss the mark on such a classic dish. It was honestly devoid of flavor, and I had to request salt, pepper, and pepper flakes just to give the dish some semblance of taste. To top it off, no pun intended, the parmesan sprinkled on top wasn't even real cheese, as it closely resembled the cheap Kraft grated parm from a plastic bottle. When you combine questionable sourcing and preparation issues that seemed to cause actual physical illness, a kitchen that fails at basic dishes, and an owner whose strict policy is apparently to nickel-and-dime customers instead of making things right, it speaks volumes. Management clearly prioritizes pure profit over basic hospitality and customer health. Save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else. Anthony's prices itself and portrays an upscale experience with stellar food quality. However, it is quite the opposite. I've had better quality and taste at Applebee's, which is horrible. I expected what they present.
