Went for lunch on weekday with wife. Wife had a chicken Caesar roll up and I ordered a pastrami Ruben with dressing on the side. Both items had incredible fries with it, but I cannot convey how bad the Rueben was. Toasted bread, slice of Swiss cheese , sauerkraut, and ONE slice of pastrami ! Looked extremely weak so I opened it up to inspect. Result : advised waitress who was extremely polite and apologetic (did not shoot the messenger). Returned to sender as unacceptable for $ 15 price tag. Disappointed that the establishment thinks an acceptable deli-type sandwich like this would be satisfactory. Been going there the past 2 years faithfully. Had a couple of issues a few months ago so we decided to give it a break. Went back last week to give them another chance and they failed us. Made mistakes on our orders took forever to fix them. Still wasn't right. Restaurant wasn't even busy at all. Just a handful of people. Plenty of staff. Server doesn't know the difference from grated cheese to shredded cheese. Sadly, we won't be back. read more

Came here on Friday night with a large group. The staff was friendly and accommodating in ever way. My son ordered a small cheese pie that was quite doughy and the cheese kept falling off the pizza, it was not that good but it was still pizza. I ordered a small italian sub with extra meat and im curious to see what it would've looked like without the extra meat. The sandwich was almost all bread, lettuce and tomato with some meat and a little cheese. Not overly impressive but the staff and the company made it 3 1/2 stars read more

There are so many pizza joints that they should be considered a class of there own. Main Street falls into this class and does pretty Ok! I stumbled across Main Street when my preferred joint was past closing time. I saw a sign Pizza and another Open and figured that this was worth a chance. Good choice ! Main Street ain't pretty like most joints in this class. Bright, kind of spartan but clean. Not much atmosphere but what do you expect in a pizzeria. Staff were pleasant and welcoming. . The menu had nothing particularly original but what was offered was good and not a stingy serving I ordered a small Main Street special, a small Italian grinder and an order of onion rings to go. Either the pizza or the grinder would have fed two. My mistake was the onion rings . When I got home they were sort of a soggy mess. They had been steaming in a styrofoam clamshell for 10 minutes. The light tempura like breading would most likely have best been eaten in the restaurant. The pizza had a medium chewy crust, good but my preference is a thin crust, great toppings and lots of it. The grinder was big and tasty. Over all I'd say Main Street is good for what it is. A worthwhile place to visit. read more

On a day out in southeast ct we wanted to do pizza for lunch. We tried another place but it wasn't clear that it's takeout only. So we had passed this place on the way so we said let's roll the dice and give it a try. To say we NOT disappointed would be an understatement. This pizza was amazing. We had a spaghetti and meatball pizza with extra cheese. This was the demon love child of a baked pasta and a pizza. Absolutely delicious. We are very familiar with their sister restaurant in RI, which we love, so wanted to give their brand new location a try. Great service, we were greeted promptly and given our choice of booths. The atmosphere is very welcoming. There is a nice bar room in the back of the restaurant with large TVs, a few high tops and ample bar seating perfect for casual afternoons watching a game. The menu is the same as the other, great comfort food, soups and pizza. We weren't disappointed. Portions are perfect to take home some leftovers, and the specials never disappoint! At least it seems clean. I ordered a California grilled chicken salad with balsamic dressing, my gf ordered a tuna grinder for lunch (nobody here). After we ordered, another couple sat down, eventually ordered their food. Their pizza and fries came out pretty quickly (still waiting for my salad) about 8 minutes after their pizza, our lunch finally came. I received a nice size salad with Italian or oil and vinegar dressing (can't tell), no avocado (thinking California) and, ready... DELI SLICES OF CHEAP AMERICAN CHEESE. Stopped in for soup and salad on a Tuesday at 11:30. The manager greeted me immediately and seated me at bar. She recommended the French onion. It was very tasty. Salad a little bland, most are.
