Allow me to note that the anticipation of the opening of this restaurant was intense. We wanted it to open so bad; we waited for what felt like forever. I can only assume they hit roadblock after roadblock trying to open this restaurant. Well, it is finally open and we had a late lunch there today and we were impressed beyond our wildest expectations. So we entered the establishment and were immediately WOWED by the build out and the decor. They built a beautiful, comfortable and inviting place to eat. Before we could take it all in, we were approached by an associate, her name is Tia P, who immediately greeted our party and made us feel so welcome. It was like she was inviting us into her home. Extremely friendly, personable and happy to be a part of this restaurants staff. She was bubbly and energetic and made us all feel so welcomed. It was like she was expecting us. She is truly top end server who takes great pride in her work; where she works, and she is so genuine. Now her service is highly professional with a side of downright honest comradery. She was prompt to the table, knowledgeable, informative, efficient and kept you in the know as to when your food will be presented to the table. She is proud to be your server, and she makes sure you are, at all times, satisfied. So when the food came, each and every one of us were blown away with the quality and the expertise of the dishes that were presented to us. One ordered Chicken pizza with an Ala vodka sauce. It was cooked to perfection, presented with style, showing that the kitchen made to not only taste out of this world, but also made appealing to the eye. Perfect crust, perfect amount of toppings and it looked mouthwatering. Well it tasted better than it looked. This pizza was the best pizza we have had in a long time. Nice job there. One person ordered the classic pasta with 2 meatballs. The sauce was phenomenal, pasta, which is fresh, cooked to perfection and meatballs were just a wee bit smaller that a baseball. They were moist and flavorful. The dish was remarkable, we also had Garlic Knots, they were of course, perfect. Nice mouth feel, well baked and with the side of three dipping sauces. OMG, amazing, my personal favorite the creamy pesto sauce. Even if you don't like pesto, you are going to love this sauce, I had the calamari and cherry peppers over garlic butter linguine. You had the choice of fried or sautéed. I went with fried and asked for a side of pesto sauce. This dish was so delicious, so generous and without a doubt a favorite at the table. The calamari was a touch over cooked, but I did not care, it was delicious. Next time, oh yes, there will be a next time and many more after that, I want to get the calamari and cherry peppers over garlic butter, sautéed, just to give it a try. This is truly a restaurant you need to visit and frequent, now, or in the very near future. They have everything absolutely right. The food, the service and the ambiance. e had lunch at Impasto today, and before anything else: my appetizer fell over on its way out of the kitchen, and the waitress tried to reassemble it with her bare hands. I saw it while I was walking back to my table. She had no idea I was watching. That is a health violation, and it tells you everything about how this place operates. Service was slow, but they just opened, so I'll give them grace there. My appetizer took about fifteen minutes -- and it was only when it arrived that the waitress told my husband they were out of the garlic knot sandwich. That is their signature dish. It is on the menu as the thing they want to be known for, and they could not make it at lunch. Fifteen minutes to tell him so. He switched to an antipasto salad. Then the plate landed. Because she is not a chef and had no business touching that food, what she set in front of me looked like something you would find in a litter box. read more

It's not a bad slice of pizza. I give it a 3.5. Is there anything substantially different than Iliano's? not really. Are they on the other side of the bridge for me? Yes. Tried this place today after it opened a couple days ago, and it was really good! The building inside was very nice, you could tell that it was all brand new. The food was all very good, especially the fried mozzerella. The pizza was also great, I loved the crust. Our server was very nice. Service was a bit slow but that's to be expected right after a place opens. We will definitely be back, the whole experience was very pleasant. :) read more

I was in Groton only for a weekend to see my boyfriend and he was told to try out this place. The wait was a little longer since they had just opened but the fast service and food made up for it. The restaurant was clean and all the details of decor and the overall atmosphere was great and I especially loved the open view of the kitchen. We don't eat pork so there were a lot of menu items we avoided but we ordered the garlic knots, philly steak pizza, and the garlic knot chicken vodka sandwich. All the food was delicious but I will say, the sandwich we got felt a little basic but with limited options it was still really good. We took our leftovers home and the food tasted just as good after heating them up in the toaster oven. Whenever I come back to visit, I'll definitely have him take me there again! read more

They traveled well in their boxes which we were thankful for! And they were good! My daughter was not a fan of her side of meatballs however, so we deducted a star for that. This place isn't bad, it just isn't great. The pizza texture is good but it's lacking flavor. The garlic knot meatball sandwich had a great textured bun and meatball, but was lacking flavor, seasoning, and sauce. The small portion of fries was very very small. Casual atmosphere with gourmet food. Large portions and great service. My husband had Sunday Gravy pasta. He said the meatballs were light and airy. Three of us arrived at around 5:15 Sunday afternoon, we were seated right away, the waitress came right to our table very pleasant she took our drink orders.. one of us ordered a small pizza she said it was good, the other was a chicken Parmesan sub. Hers was good also. I ordered the pappardelle with Bolognese sauce , I didn't like the sauce it was creamy and the noodles stuck together. The taste wasn't bad ,but not the way I've always have had that sauce. They don't put bread out for dinners . The place is beautifully done plenty of room . I will go back again . I got a large pepperoni pizza.It's a NY style pizza but needed to be cooked longer.The sauce was not good and not a fresh made sauce.They used a small pepperoni and did use plenty of them but the type of pepperoni didn't taste good.I love pizza but it was not good to me.$18 for a large and $3 for the pepperoni and $4 for a soda full of ice not worth the price.Maybe some the the other food may taste better but the pizza no but if they use the same sauce I would pass. read more
