Veal parm, ordered with no cheese and adding only a light amount of parm when served.

I was in the area for the day and searching for dinner options brought me to Hoof's in Pawcatuck. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance is elevated above casual but not stuffy or exclusionary.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I was in there a short time after opening and my waitress was fantastic. I will say the bar staff were a little sweary amongst themselves which could be heard when I wasn't even seated at the bar. They serve warm bread and hummus to start the meal which was great. Im not a hummus person so I used the table olive oil with some fresh grated parmesan instead. The meatballs were amazing. The veal cutlet was ok. The sauce is good. Pasta is served tossed in the sauce rather than just placed on top. I eat a lot of red sauce italian and the food leans roughly middle of the road for me BUT the total experience brought it to 4 stars. I would definitely return and will check out some other dishes. The pictures of the bolognese look amazing.

The perfect date night dinner, every time! Reasonably priced, masterfully prepared food, and meticulous service (without feeling overwhelming!). Their bread and roasted red pepper hummus is drool-worthy. I'm a big fan of anything served with their house pomodoro.

Had a lovely meal here while visiting friends in town. Our friends, who eat here frequently, recommended seafood. I had the scallops and risotto special. It was delicious and the scallops were so tender! We shared a sticky toffee cake for dessert which was yummy.

There are so many things I love about this place. It's clean, upbeat, and the service is prompt. Our servers name was Sam. Clean cut young man, very proper which is so appreciated these days. We sat outside on the patio because it was booked solid and I was really craving the food here. It's pretty noisy with the traffic and the trains, but it's a small price to pay for perfection. We had the lobster nachos for an appeteaser, YUMMMM! I had the surf and turf pasta. It was great. My son had grilled chicken and mashed potots, the wifey had a white truffle pasta with grilled chicken. The food was great. I hate to reiterate this but, the traffic noise is obnoxious. It really took focus away from the experience. Other than that, it was a pleasure.

Some of the best pasta I've ever had. Place is super nice, seating is spacious and comfy, and service was good! Our waiter was nice and kept bringing us some of their delicious bread. I had the rigatoni and meatballs and they were *chef's kiss.*

Okay, we've been looking for a new high quality Mediterranean place that has other things as well. Hoofs Restaurant on the Pawcatuck/Westerly line (I prefer to think of it as Westerly) nailed it. With outstanding service, a great, lively vibe (without being obnoxious) and incredible food, we had an amazing 39th birthday dinner for my wife. (We had a 39th birthday for her over a decade ago as well...., hmmm). Our server Beth was generous with her time, gave outstanding dining suggestions, was intimately familiar with the menu and ingredients, and was very nice and hospitable! Thanks Beth!!! We started off with an appetizer to share, it was a filet mignon carpaccio, which is a thinly sliced, almost tartare consistency on a delicious bed of fresh arugula (In February, nice touch), topped with romano crumble and bits of crispy prosciutto. I could've eaten just that for dinner but I wanted the pork chop that my buddy told me I HAD to go to Hoofs for. So clearly I had the pork chop calabrese plate, which blew everything you've ever thought about a pork chop away. Moist, tender, flavorful and definitely filling. Served with spinach, peppers, sun-dried tomatoes and thick, super flavorful slices of tender, fried potato, it filled me up, and that's hard to do. My wife had the salmon piccata which was one of the nightly specials, and she, who NEVER finishes her whole dinner, loved it so much she "ate through the pain" as I recommended and killed it! Her dish came with some light/fluffy mashed potatoes that were lightly seasoned and delicious. She also had the arugula salad which includes pears, red onion, shaved fennel and goat cheese (gross...sorry, my opinion, she and many others love it, haha) Closing out the night we had a delicious piece of authentic Key Lime pie with an Oreo crumble crust. Beth even jazzed it up for my wife's birthday and added a candle and even got me to sing Happy Birthday to my beautiful wife. Perfect night, perfect meal, our new go-to, special event place. As a comparison, we went to a highly advertised/recently opened place in one of the casinos recently, paid DOUBLE what it cost us for a better, more delicious and enjoyable meal at Hoofs.

Pan seared scallops with a hearty serving of lobster and asparagus risotto.

I am all for new trendy vibey establishments but there's something so special about that old school classic vibe. There is so much attention to detail when the branding was designed that mustn't be over looked. The owners are also outstanding humans and constantly giving back to the community and supporting Local fundraisers. The staffing is usually on the younger side but I can appreciate a young teenager that wants to get out there and work in the community. Social interaction is super important in one's growth and you get to experience that first hand the more often you visit. I have always had great experiences, and I believe the owners are doing things right when they are interviewing and finding goo staffing. You can tell Mel has a passion for baking/culinary/sweets and provides an absolute top notch experience. From sundaes to ice cream flights and even big kahuna challenges, there is literally something for everybody. The menu is forever changing with seasons and customer input :) I tend to bring my young boys in for a small treat on the summer weekends when we're in downtown Westerly. We purposely plan on getting there at opening which is noontime. At that time of day they are much slower than later on into the evening. This allows my picky/indecisive boys to try a few flavors before committing to something. They can also perouse all the candy/ sweet treats, which they will inevitably convince me to get something to take home with them. I highly recommend stopping in for an after dinner sundae after a nice dinner at one of the other local dining establishments Cheers *****Spoiler alert. I cannot wait to see the finished product of the step side ice cream/sweet treat truck, coming to a town near you***

This is a huge store with a bunch of different rooms/spaces to sit in, including an outdoor patio which was very cute. I did not study here, but it would be a great spot. Lots of seating and outlets. I personally don't love cold brew, but it tasted good, just very light. They also have a bunch of other coffee shop drinks along with food and smoothies. I would definitely come back here if I was in the area! There is also a large parking lot.

This might have been an oversight of the worker but I didn't mind. The staff here are very friendly and quick with making your drinks. The cafe is clean and well decorated. There is both indoor and outdoor seating here. The cafe is located in a little plaza with a parking lot but it can get full pretty quickly! The cafe is very popular and opens pretty early.
