I had a lovely Italian meal Vetrano's. I had the veal Francese. The sauce was light and delicious, and the veal was tender. I also tasted the Grandmas pizza, and that was quite acceptable for my New York palate. I was impressed by the professionalism of the staff at Vetrano's. Addy, the hostess, was most welcoming and accommodating, and Liz was an exceptional, attentive server. read more

Great experience here, the food was delicious! I got the pasta with vodka sauce and added breaded chicken, which was AMAZING and the portion size was very good- I had enough for a second meal and then some. Not the fastest service but they certainly get pretty busy at times read more

Vetrano's Rigatoni A La Vodka is creamy and plentiful. They don't skimp on the portions at all, leaving me a great amount for leftovers. Their bread is moist, squishy, and flavorful. The chicken and broccoli pizza had fresh broccoli, but barely any chicken at all, or any flavor for that matter. Though the service was incredibly slow, Vetranos has a great family feel to the restaurant. read more

Not satisfied at all. A couple years back- my teenaged son and his gf went here on a date. Among some of the things they ordered was the New England clam chowder. While eating his soup he bit down and his tooth had chipped on a clam shell fragment. He showed the server and the manager came over. They verified it was a shell and a piece of his tooth. They apologized. They also still charged him for the whole meal. After he came home he told me what happened. I was in disbelief when he said they didn't try to compensate in any way. I called them up and was upset that they'd take advantage of young kids like that. They took advantage that they were naive and they got them for their money. When I spoke to a manager he apologized that they still got charged - yet made no offer to reimburse us. He said his lawyers for the insurance company would contact me. I waited a whole year. I called them again. I said his lawyers never contacted me. He took down all the information again. He assured me that someone would call me. 3 years later..... still waiting read more

Could be Westerly's best pizza. Entrees and apps are all good. Got calamari to go the other night and some salads with grilled chicken and the calamari tin was packed with enough for 10 people. All their pizzas are great, NY size and crust. A little flop, thinner crust. Chicken parm, pasta dishes all good. Clean booths, also bar area, parking is ok. Bathrooms clean. read more

Vetranos is our go to Restaurant! Their quality is so consistent, their sauces are incredible, the staff is incredibly friendly, and it's just a wonderful place to have dinner. Our server tonight, Ayana is just wonderful and is wonderful and outfitted with a cleaver through her head for Halloween. you can't do better than to dine at Vetranos. read more

When the post was made the official bar account blamed my friend and told her to take accountability and watch her drink. The post got attention of the local community and 5 other women have come forward saying they had a similar experience. My friend is traumatized by the way they chose to handle the situation. Don't drink here, if something happens they will blame you and refuse to assist in any manner. Food is disgusting and the whole place smells like a septic leak, you aren't missing much by avoiding this place. Keep yourself safe.

This place is "The Home of the Grandmother Pizza" for a reason. We always order this pizza, in various forms, and it never disappoints. If you're looking for Pizza in the Westerly area this is the best. Even better than Pizza Lady (pains me to write that). The pizza can feed 5-6 people, potentially more. The dining area was decorated well but not overdone, and I spotted a Nutcracker from the Westerly Nutcracker trail! I love community events like that. But I could not wait, so I used a fork and knife for my first bite. The dough was crisp, the sauce zesty and a whole lot of cheese. So cheesy that some pepperoni fell off my friend's slice as he put it on his plate. If you like a cheesy pizza, this is the spot for you. The first slice went down easy, and in some ways I was reminded of the texture of a classic NY pie but thinner. I eagerly reached for the second slice, a cheese one. That's where things fell apart for me. The difference in these two slices was immense. I'm not sure what happened in the oven, but the pizza was not cooked evenly. The cheese sliced flopped and lost all the great texture I enjoyed in the first slice. Unfortunately, it seems the rest of the pie didn't reflect my first slice experience. I liked it enough that if someone invited me back, I would go but I don't think this will be on my places to recommend in Westerly yet. They've been here long enough to know the kids' names. Everything about the room says they thought this through. Brick and white wainscoting, pendant lights, bentwood chairs, open kitchen where you watch the whole operation. Families pack the place. Kids color, parents talk, teenagers perform indifference while inhaling slices. Staff moves with the rhythm of people who've been here since they were kids themselves. I wanted the pizza to match the room. It didn't. Fourteen inch thin crust that can't decide if it's New York or Neapolitan. Doesn't nail either. The middle collapses. You need to fold it backward or use a fork to eat it. Neither option appeals to me. Sauce, cheese, crust. Everything blurs together. Can't tell you what any single component contributed because nothing stood out enough to claim it. Pepperoni brought grease. Covered my hands and the plate. Some flavor there, not enough to make the cleanup worth it. What I wanted: crust with structure. Pizza that holds its shape. Components that argue with each other before they work it out. What they're serving: something else. But here's what I keep coming back to. Families who've been showing up since 1998. People driving from out of state for a booth. Kids measuring childhood in pizza box trees. Twenty six years on the same corner doing the same thing the same way. They're not confused. They know what they're getting. The product isn't the pizza. It's the room, the people, the 26 years of your family showing up. Pizza's just the excuse that brings you back in.
