So we decided to try dessert since we had NO luck with 2 restaurants in the area. We got a frozen wine and frozen Butterbeer! They were the highlight of our afternoon! Yummy and delicious.

This is the crowd that was present while I was there and Unfortunately that is the employee that serviced me. I won't be back.

The pros: Our tour guide/bus driver, Don, was excellent. He seriously made the whole trip. He was so kind and helpful and fun loving, he was a great match for our group. The wine tour was excellent we had an extensive tour of the grounds and they make their wine. It was the best tour we got the whole trip. The brewery had corn hole which made a great activity as our day was winding down. The pub lunch was great and had choices for everyone. Cons: Definitely overpriced for "tasting tours" when out of the three places when we only got one real "tour". Pretty disappointed and we all wished we got actual tours of the distillery and brewery since that is what we paid for. We didn't get to stay at the winery very long or hang out before we had to leave-- we thought this was the best location out of all three.

It was time to celebrate a birthday in our group and we had some ideas; however, our first issue…read morewas transportation. Tastings and Tours has a well rounded program. We were able to take the train from Center City to Doylestown. At Doylestown, their driver - Linda (actually the founder) was there to greet us. Leading up to the planning of this event, we worked with Linda and had a very good experience. She knew the area, suggested eateries and talked about the country side. All this just added what I call "free extras" to the already low price. Plus there are shopping baskets, bottles of water, and storage cases for new wine while on your journey. This is a well thought out operation. We had a group of 5. Our biggest concern is who we would sit with on the bus; however, after the first stop everyone was loosened up (the first stop allows you to pour or own samples!) and the conversations just started rolling out. We had a great time and thanks to Linda for making it work out.

As soon as we walked in we were greeted by the staff behind the bar (wish I knew her name). The customer service is impeccable! The staff was very friendly, and attentive! She was very knowledgeable about the wines and gave us a little history about the tasting. We chose to do two tastings (you can choose 6 wines) so we intentionally chose different wines so that we could broaden our horizon. The wines were great. All tasty however, some did not sit well with my pallet. I really like that they offer oyster crackers to eat while you are tasting the wine to clean you pallet prior to the next tasting. I wish some other wineries would do that. If your pallet is clear prior to tasting different wines you will really be able to identify all of the notes of the different wines. The ambiance was nice as always. Tomasello Winery in Lambertville, NJ is a small quaint tasting room in the middle of old town Lambertville. There isn't much room however, the small space offers a more intimate tasting experience. Overall, it was a great experience. I especially enjoyed all of their ciders particularly the apple cider and watermelon cider. I was able to take some bottles home as well. I thought it was really nice and sweet for the lady to hold our bottles while we went shopping in the town so that we would not have to carry our bottles from store to store. They were heavy bottles so that would have been impossible and not enjoyable. We had a great time and we will be back soon! Please check out Tomasello Winery if you are in the Lambertville area. You will not regret it. Cheers!

Kathleen immediately made us Californians right at home, and the place was unassuming and comfortable. We did the flight tasting of the various and ended up buying a bottle of the Cab Franc and the Petit Verdot...both paired well with Monday's grilling. Thank you, Kathleen, see ya next time we are in the area!

They even had a live singer performing, which added a great vibe to the visit. We shared a pizza while doing our tasting, and it paired nicely with the wines. The wines were good overall, though not quite enough for us to buy a bottle. One of the wines seemed like it was starting to turn, but the rest were enjoyable. Despite that, we still had a lovely time. It's a cute stop if you're passing through and want to unwind with some music, food, and a laidback winery experience.

I made table reservations online for $20 (you get to choose a 3 hour block of time) -- and while it probably wasn't necessary the day we went, if the weather is warmer on a weekend, I'm guessing you'll need it! Minimal food available for purchase, but you can do tastings, flights, wine by the glass or bottles and are allowed to bring outside food and decorations (just not outside alcohol). Price point is reasonable, and we enjoyed a bottle of Cayuga white while overlooking the vines and fields. Peaceful venue, not fancy and kid friendly (which was a plus for us) and we appreciated being allowed to relax and enjoy the fresh air and wine! My husband enjoyed the red flight -- and while not the kind of wine that will knock your socks off, it's an unpretentious place and perfect for enjoying with loved ones.
