A beautiful day to sit outside and have lunch. We haven't been by Maine Attraction in years and it was nice to see it's still there. My granddaughter and I each had hot dogs, French fries, onion rings and homemade slaw. I don't know what kind of hot dog but it was wicked tasty. She enjoyed the fries and the onion rings were perfect, I don't like chunky rings and these were perfect, onions tasted fresh like they were freshly made. My one complaint, they only have a porta potty, they did have a pump sink but the soap was empty. With children especially using the bathroom, I wasn't happy with that. read more

Thankful for this nice seafood shack after a nice day on the lake! Tried the haddock nuggets and the clam chowder and both were delightful and light, but still filled me up from the exhaustion of water activities! I like to come here for their burgers. It gets pretty busy here at times but there is plenty of parking and the service is efficient. They have Gifford's ice cream and there are plenty of options. The outdoor seating areas are comfortable. read more

It was our first visit and likely will be our last! I had heard good reviews on Facebook about this place and it is close to home so we went out for lobster rolls last night. I ordered the large roll and my wife ordered the regular. Both were buttered and toasted. Even though they were not busy it took 30 minutes for us to get our order. For some reason they wrap the rolls in foil so when we opened them they were soggy and lukewarm. The lobster was bland and tough. It appeared that they must have kept it on the stove in a pot with butter instead of making the rolls fresh. The rolls were served with homemade chips that were cold and stale. The rolls and soda drinks were $45. Expensive - but I would have paid that for a good roll. I had the lobster roll at the 99 restaurant that was 100% better!! read more

Not a huge fan of the cole slaw, wouldnt buy a tub, but that CORN CHOWDER??? A little peppery, but worth that tub. Giant lobster roll will cost you like five more bucks than the regular size but... BUY IT! Damn that thing is good, toasted roll, hot lobster, tell em to give you some drawn butter on the side for dunking. They do have that cold style lobster roll for those who feel the need to screw up lobster by putting mayonnaise on it. If that be you, then they have you covered as well. It's a cute little place. I tried the fried scallops and small order of onion rings. They give you a decent portion! My food was average, it wasn't delicious but it wasn't awful either. The clam fritters were pretty good though. There's ice cream too but the line was very long and they were closing soon so we didn't have time to get any. Found this place on my way up to Maine and was very happy with my decision to stop here. It's right on a lake so it was fun watching the boats go by. They have outside seating on picnic benches with umbrellas for shade and they also have full-service dining inside. We opted for outside eating since I brought my favorite four-legged friend with me. I had the 1/4-pound lobster roll with butter which was really good. I shared the lobster roll but totally could have eaten one on my own if I didn't get other food too. I also had the seafood chowder which was good and tasted fresh too. The seafood chowder had little shrimps, scallops, clams, potatoes and maybe lobster but I couldn't really see any. After enjoying lunch and a view in the shady picnic area, we capped it off with some ice cream. I got a scoop of peanut butter caramel cookie dough and a scoop of chocolate and it was the perfect combination. Yummy! I will definitely make this a regular stop on my way to Maine when I visit again. Note* they only have a porter potty and no real bathroom, but I must say that it is VERY clean inside and has hand sanitizer. read more

Fist time I have been there was today 6/15/22. I have lived in Brimfield for 18 years and we usually get our lobster rolls on Horse Neck beach in Westport, MA. But this is near by so we decided to give it a try. For a clam shack it is a pretty decent location, right across from the lake. Outdoor seating is cute and parking is plentiful. Now to the real reason to go to the Maine Attraction - the food. We ordered the Deluxe Lobster Roll with home made chips and slaw and added an order of clam fritters. Both were awesome. The fritters were cooked to perfection in good oil with plenty of clams and seasoning. The lobster roll was warm on a great toasted bun with decent amount of lobster. Would recommend to anyone wanting good and quick food in Western Mass. read more

This is coming from a non-seafood lover. So, base my review off of this. I'm going to leave an honest review as usual. I find this place just ....average. Honestly, I miss danders ice cream and I miss some of the soul food they had like chili cheese fries and fried dough. Maine attraction has the basic items. Something you find just about anywhere else. I wish they had more to choose from for the people who are not seafood eaters. Though.... I do eat one thing with seafood in it and that's clam chowder. And I'm a chowder snob!! I'm picky as can be!! In my opinion, there's room for improvement on the chowder but it's not bad either! Their ice cream is ok. Nothing extraordinary. I did enjoy their shaved steak grinder though. That is one who goes off the menu that I thought was good. I hear their seafood is good though! And it's nice to see them busy so they must be doing something right!! It's nice to see a business flourish in town. We did need something good! We go from time to time to help support them. Very disappointed, we were on our way up north and found this place on yelp. We were so excited to take a break at such a lovely site. The lobster roll came out cold so did the clam chowder . Besides being cold it seemed like they spilled a bottle of black pepper in it, that's all I could taste, didn't taste a clam. The lobster roll looked like they used a nice amount of lobster which I was happy to see. But they forgot the warm butter so it was very dry. They also forgot the sides we had to ask for it. Now we love dives, hole in the wall, mom and pop kinda places and when my husband found this place I felt like we scored! It's just a building with a walk up window to order and another to pick up. It has a nice patio area with tables or they have picnic tables placed around the outside for sitting. The view of the lake across the street was really nice. If you have "to go" they have a decent porta potty but I'd suggest you "go" before your visit. It took a while for our food to be ready and we were super hungry but when we opened up those foil packs and saw the size and amount of lobster we instantly forgot about the wait. We opted for a hot sandwich (they add butter to the lobster) but you can have it cold (they add mayo) too. It was delicious! Oh, and their homemade chips are super good. Super crispy and not greasy, at all!!! Let me tell you though ... it was pricey. Our sandwiches alone were like $18 each!! Quite the splurge for just a sandwich. Roadside fried food joint, it is what it is. Service was very slow and the food was average at best. There are better options in the area.

We had the cold lobster roll it was not good. Lobster had no mayo an was slimy. We also had clam fritters which was good.

I have grownup coming here, and it is normally really good. Although, tonight's experience was anything but good. The family in front of us got waffle cones and both were broken, to the point of needing a cup so all the icecream wouldn't fall to the ground. My milkshake tasted like it was mostly milk and was as thin as water, or as if they just put melted icecreamin a cup. And my boyfriend's waffle cone was also very broken. It also took about five minutes to just get a cup and spoon to hold the broken cone and icecream. It was very disappointing tonight. read more

Have ordered three times since they opened for the season. Twice took advantage of the newly offered delivery service and once picked up. Also now offer ordering online which was great. Good local place operated by seasonal staff. Food is decent and prepared fresh to order. Had the lobster roll fries and ice cream afterwards. The location is right off the roadway. Plenty of parking available. The staff gets to know locals and they treat them like family. It's easy to spot regulars as the staff does need to provide them menus.
