Dean and his crew installed some professional commercial-grade light poles in my backyard; 5 poles and 7 lights total were installed, enough to light up my entire backyard to include lighting for my son's batting cage. They did an outstanding job, were very flexible with their schedule and worked with my concrete contractors to run their conduit before the concrete was poured, they excelled in communication, and were overall very professional. This was a pretty major project and I could not be happier with the results. Dean and his guys will be my electricians for life. Maine Electric without a doubt is most superior for electrical repair, ceiling fan installation etc. Our house will be for sale next week. We called Maine Thursday afternoon with what we thought would be a quick Job request. The receptionist told me they were pretty booked. She called us back to ask if Friday morn. would be ok. I called Maine Electric for some basic electrical work and the technician was so knowledgable and helpful, I called back to have a bigger job done!! The technicians are always clean, neat and polite. I requested my door bell to be moved. It required the electrical to be completely re-routed. They were fast and accurate and made sure I was totally satisfied. They cleaned up their mess - I could barely tell they had been there!!!!! Except, of course I had a nice new working door bell. Hired Maine Electric to install three ceiling lights and two motion lights outside. Ceiling lights were installed correctly, very happy with the work. Backyard motion light installed correctly. The problem came with the front motion light. It wasn't installed correctly - didn't work and my address number lights no longer worked. (near the motion light). I called them and let them know that the electrician that hooked up the motion light told me that he was doing something with the install so that it would only come on after dark by hooking it into the address number lights. They sent someone else out to correct the install. After he left, my address number lights still didn't work and now my garage door opener no longer worked properly. This time, when I called, the person that answered the phone stated that they didn't do any work that could break my garage opener, so they would charge me $75 to take a look at it. (without even talking to either electrician that came to my house - per her own admission she didn't speak to either one). The first electrician that did the original install was sent to my house after I called back the next day and asked to speak to the owner. He came to the door and asked me to try my garage door and it worked! I felt so embarrassed. Then he told me about the address number lights and said that both the filaments were blown out and that it was the problem. While discussing this, he told me that he checked them before he came to my front door. Then he said he wanted to look at the transformer, but couldn't find it. Why look for the transformer unless he blew it out to begin with while trying to hook up the motion lights on the first call (which would break both bulbs). He did offer to replace the light bulbs, but I had already missed three hours of work (again) and couldn't wait any longer for him to go find bulbs at the store. Plus, at this point, I realized that he probably fixed whatever they broke on my garage door opener before he came to my door. I didn't like the fact that they let me think that a door that didn't work for over a week suddenly worked on its own! And my address number lights still don't work. They worked just fine before Maine Electric did the work at my home. Last thing, they threw pieces of cord, orange plastic tips, etc on the ground around where they were working and didn't pick anything up when they left. Maybe my experience is unusual, but I'm unlikely to call them again. read more

Today I had Maine Electric come to my home and let me tell you how wonderful it was... I had a electrical problem and didn't know where to turn. I called Dean at Maine electric and he handled the problem right away and is extremely wonderful to work with. As a single mom I hesitate letting people into my home that I don't know, Dean was very comfortable to work with and i didn't feel like I was being taken advantage of. Recently, Kyle from Maine Electric, came to my home and addressed several electrical issues, including, but not limited to, replacing a bathroom exhaust fan. Both Dean and Kyle are knowledgeable, professional and pleasant to work with. I was charged only $150 in total, as compared to an estimate by another electrician (not a Palmdale or Lancaster electrician) who estimated the job as costing in excess of $500! Maine Electric does not require a two hour minimum charge as did the other electrician. My experience with Maine Electric simply couldn't have been better. Amazing work!! We had an issue with the light switch plates fitting in our bathroom properly. We were told by the previous worker that it couldn't be converted to a side by side switch due to many reason. Main Electric diagnosed and fixed the issue within the hour. We now have a functioning double switch (for light and exhaust fan). The price was more than fair. Definitely give them a call!!! read more
