I have never been to an optometrist place that made the whole process so easy. My favorite part was HOW HELPFUL & KNOWLEDGEABLE THE STAFF WAS! I ended up needing 3 pairs of glasses. I prefer distance to just be that and the regular in the house, reading computer, etc., be another pair because I'd just end up taking them off. I also wanted to get a new pair of sunglasses, and I wanted to spend the least amount of money. The ones she selected looked better than others that I spent a lot more money on! The doctor was also very good and was able to determine my prescription easy. I had one doctor who got upset because it was hard to determine due to my astigmatism and how I've learned to compensate (due to going without glasses so long). So I really appreciated how she seemed to know how to determine my needs. Because it's so close and easy to go to, I have no doubt I will be doing annual exams vs waiting until my glasses break or just are so bad because of the hassle and cost I've had in the past. read more

I've been a long time customer because of the level of service I have received here. I had ordered a box of daily contacts approximately a week ago, when suddenly we were all hit with the corona virus pandemic and we now need to follow the strict regulations. Main Place Optometry was forced to temporarily close its doors as a result, therefore, I was not going to receive my order in time. Steve contacted me by phone and personally delivered daily contacts (trials) to my home, to last me until they hopefully are able to open again. I have never seen this level of customer service; I appreciate the caring demeanor in which they handled the situation. I started coming to MainPlace Optometry about 4 years ago and during that time I also visited other optometrists for my annual eye exams. There is absolutely no comparison as MainPlace Optometry blows everyone else out of the water. Every single staff there is warm, welcoming, and extremely knowledgeable. My husband recently had his first eye exam here and he commented on how this experience was completely different than the others he has had at other optometrists. We ordered our glasses before the recent pandemic hit and Steve went above and beyond for us to ensure that their office tracked down both mine and my husband's new glasses so that we could get them even though the mall was temporarily closed. Initially went to LensCrafters only to find that my plan was not considered "in network" with LensCrafters so I went across the way to MainPlace Optometry. Lorena was very sweet and helpful, even assisting me on removing the hold my current optometrist, who gave me my eye exam, had put on my plan expecting me to buy lens and frames from them. The appointment was very quick compared to other eye appointments I've had. That's why I never got my eyes checked yearly. I hated the whole process. But this experience has opened me up to going annually again (which I know I should anyway). When I was concerned about my new glasses, they gladly took me in and gave me a new exam to make sure the prescription was right. The doctor was very knowledgeable and staff was friendly. Unfortunately these places just want to charge you an arm and a leg for prescription lenses that are basic for a single vision carbon fiber. I mean what do you guys actually charge for prescription lenses? I went in and even with a good allowance they say to me, its not enough our glasses are too expensive. Oh well, I got some prescription oakleys with carbon fiber from vision center and only paid 6 dollars out of pocket read more

Updated review: It has been 3 years since I saw Dr. So. I came back for worsening visual and chronic dry eyes. Dr. So is very thorough with his assessment and evaluation. He educated me on my problems and made sure I understand the plan of care clearly. I love how he spends his time answering all my questions. He also gave me free contact lens trial (2 weeks worth) and I came back after my initial visit for a re-evaluation. I appreciate how Dr. So took care of my eyes and I honestly wish he can be my primary care doctor too. Even though I have no insurance, I will continue to go back to Dr. So because he is an awesome doctor! The staff are very nice and friendly. The office is clean and newly renovated. read more

Dr. Quach is amazing. She did a complete exam and was informative throughout. She was able to identify that I had been prescribed a stronger prescription than necessary previously.
