Exceedingly cute French-inspired cafe in a beautifully restored old mill building. They have a menu of crepes, quiche, and salad that is all around $10-$12. Simple, but tasty. At least while we were there, they had live music and Maison de Manger is also BYOB. It would be nice to see them expand the menu to include more breakfast options, but the kitchen is quite small so I can be forgiving there. read more

Great little spot for a pleasant lunch with great atmosphere If you are looking for something French, something a little different or just a comfortable place that's not a local pizza joint or bar, then this just might be for you. We arrived on a Tuesday around 11:30 AM. For the next 40 minutes we were the only two people enjoying the space, and our meals. We stayed for 90 minutes in total and several other diners arrived during the latter half. Although there are staff about, they are there to assist rather than "wait". You place your order at the counter and then find a place to sit, taking a little tabletop sign when busy, so your food can find you (they do bring it to you). We tried a chicken pot pie crepe and the spinach / bacon quiche. Both were easily double the portion needed for one. As such the prices, in general, imo should be viewed as two meals. The 2nd half was boxed and bagged to be enjoyed later. The atmosphere here is very comfortable, inviting and even inspired. It is obvious that a) a good deal of money was invested, and b) the owner / decorator has a real eye for "pieces of flair". Even the kitchen is window-dressed, making it feel utilitarian, inviting and warm rather than dirty, greasy and unappealing. For this first visit we have zero complaints. I went to this restaurant last night. I was immediately greeted. This is not a fancy place, but the food was great. I had the chicken pot pie which was uniquely presented in a wrap. But I'm not sure if it's just the owner that waits tables or what but i went to lunch there yesterday and no exaggeration I waited 20 mins to be greeted then had to wait another 20 for my drink and all together I was there for an hour and a half just to have lunch. Then when I wanted my bill the waitress had went outside and no one could find her. Maybe its time to get more than one server. read more

This is a preliminary review, as I will be returning. I went last Saturday. I got a ham, brie, and apricot crepe which was amazing. My boyfriend got a fig and gruyere crepe which I liked but he though lacked enough cheese. I would like to return to try more crepes and pastries (cookies). My only problem is the price. My wife and I recently moved to the area and were recommended to check out Maison de Manger. We had high hopes based on the recommendations. My wife and I both ordered a crepe, she got an OJ, and I had a water. This cost $28, which for that cost I would think you would get a side of something to go with it. Overall, it was underwhelming. The flavor of the crepes was good but overall we were disappointed. The live music was great and it's a really awesome space so we were definitely bummed that it wouldn't be a replacement for the crepe place we used to go to before we moved. read more

I waited too long to write this and forgot what crepes my friend and I got! I think I got blueberry goat cheese or something like that? Blueberry & brie maybe? She got something weird, like spaghetti bolognese crepe? We both loved them, the combos totally worked. Service was lovely, the owner's mom runs the front of the house. This spot is def only a breakfast or lunch spot. We went for dinner last night at 5pm. There were four of us; no one else was in the place. The two women working there did not seem to be pleased that we were even there. You have to order your food at the counter and they bring the food to the table. The food was just okay. Seemed like just reheated food. They brought the food to the table and set it down and never once checked on us to see if everything was okay. Supposed to be open till 7::00, but at 6:30, they shut the music and lights off, even though we were still sitting at the table. The best part was that it's a BYOB; so we brought in a bottle of wine and a couple of beers. Will not return. read more

We wanted to try this place for breakfast, This isn't usually my type of restaurant as I am a picky person. We walked in and the owner was super welcoming. Had lunch here with my husband. I had the Black Forest ham and Gruyere crepe (lots of ham and cheese with an awesome pesto on the side), and my husband had the chicken pot pie crepe (chock full of chicken, potatoes, peas, carrots and herbs in a creamy sauce). Both were delicious! We got to speak with the woman whom I presume is the owner. She is very charming, as is the restaurant. We felt like we were at a bistro in Paris. Wish we had room for dessert. They looked yummy. One thing I don't understand is why there weren't any men (except for my husband) dining. The crepes are very filling and hardy. I tried Maison today for the first time. A few friends have gone and all had good things to say so I thought I would give it a go myself. Maison is located in the beautifully restored Linwood Mill building and shares a space with Millhouse Wine and Spirits. The space is awesome, soaring ceilings, exposed industrial-style ducts and exposed brick. The space is filled with natural light and it's warm and inviting. Little side note, no sign outside so look for the French flag flying outside the door. This is mainly a place that serves a good variety of crepes and a few other items. I had the cheeseburger bomb and my lunch-mate opted for the caprese. My bomb was pretty good. It was flavorful and came with a side of sirache or horseradish. My lunch-mate reported her caprese was delicious. Packed with fresh mozzarella, tomato, basil and drizzled with a balsamic reduction. I saw some Artisan salads going out that looked amazing and enormous! Maison gets 4 stars as opposed to 5 based on one small issue. Our crepes, while certainly delicious, were just the crepes alone. For the price you pay even a small side of greens would go a long way. I have no issue with paying for quality so that will not prevent me from returning or recommending Maison to friends and family. Just being nit-picky I suppose. A friend has raved about the Sunday Brunch, complete with live music, so I am eager to check it out. I also saw a few dessert crepes that I have to try. Overall Maison has it all and worth a try. Tip: No website but they have a Facebook page where they post the daily menu. read more

Crepes were very small for the price.. maybe it was what I ordered, but it was very obvious it was just chocolate pudding for filling.

Overpriced for the portion. It is good but if you ever had a crêpe, this isn't it. Increase the offering or lower the price.
