Lovely boulangerie! Walking distance from our hotel and was the perfect light quick dinner with delicious desserts.

    Best croissant I've ever had!

Oh Maison Landemaine - you charming beauty. Hands down best croissant I've ever had. Try the butter variety, it will change your life. Was in town for business for a very short three night stay and this lovely little patisserie was thankfully a block or so away from our hotel. Ended up taking a few packs of macarons for my coworkers back home and also a couple of croissants and madeleines for my hubby. They survived the long journey home and were met with rave reviews. Hope I can come back again someday to try some more of their beautiful pastries!

On the way to the Sunday Bastille Market, we dropped by Maison Landemaine for croissants and a baguette. Although the line was out the door, service was remarkably quick. One person would take orders and another would process payment. Very efficient so don't let the long lines deter you. The croissants were flaky and the baguette exterior was crisp and interior chewy and moist (and a bargain at 1.30 euro!) There are no seats or tables so you'll have to take your baked goods to go.

Really good coffee and croissants. Doesn't look like much (and nowhere to sit) but *very* good. Worth a stop on your way out to sightsee!

Another great boulangerie. This place is slightly larger than the one down the street with a…read moreslightly wider selection. It gets a cheaper rating but I thought the prices were very comparable to the other boulangeries in the neighborhood.Again they had great croissants (I tried them at every boulangerie we visited) and their large macaron "sandwiches" were also delicious (although not my MOST favorite of the ones we tried in Paris). This place was also just a few steps from our apartment so we visited it a lot as well. None of the women that served us during the week spoke English but again, you don't need much in a boulangerie. The service was always friendly and efficient. Often this place was busy but service was quick. No outdoor seating, and they were open until 8pm which was awesome. Later in the day you'll find that pastries and bread are not as fresh but even though we got macaron "sandwiches" at 7pm and they seemed a little damp from the fresh fruit in them, the taste was delicious. The outer shells of the macarons were slightly tough but the overall texture wasn't bad. the berries (we tried frambriose and fraise, or raspberry and strawberry) were incredibly fresh and tasty. I'm sure if we had purchased them earlier in the day they would have been even better. We also had the coffee eclairs and they were amazing!!! I don't care that much for eclairs as I do no like the type of bread used for them, but these were good enough that I'd get them again. The filling was rich and the coffee taste was outstanding.
