I most recently stopped by for a bite at this location a few blocks from North Shore Open Space Park, a.k.a. the full moon party. They have a few outside tables as well as an inside counter seating area. You typically order your sandwich & smoothie, pay and then your belly gets happy. They have a few regular sandwiches that they make fresh (i.e. not premade), as well as a "build your own" option on the menu. My go to is their Italian sub on a crispy baguette. It comes stuffed with ham, prosciutto, and salami as well as a slice of cheese. You do get to customize the green stuff, which for me is fresh lettuce, tomatoes, red peppers, and their little cornichons (baby pickles). As far as dipping sauces, they have the usual oil and balsamic as well as a lightly creamy vinaigrette, which to me had a slight hint of spiciness. I loved it! Going for my sweet tooth, their açai bowl is really packed with the açai paste, granola and fresh berries. The staff is pretty friendly and gets my order out on time. The spot is also dog friendly, I've seen folks come in with their four legged children.

I do wish that the 10% late night service charge was more spelled-out, because I would've tipped accordingly having known that, instead of tipping a combined 30%. The worker did a great job, but I felt bad that he was the only person taking orders and making all of the sandwiches. One would think that the late night charge would give him a little bit more help behind the counter... Can't get enough of their house-made vinaigrette!

Great place to stop for a quick bite on a beach day or when you're not feeling up for a full meal…read more Sandwiches are large and taste great! Plenty of customization options. A counter seat is hit or miss but nice to have available instead of only being a walk up window. Skip the smoothies. They're watery and thus not very filling or flavorful. You're better off getting a sandwich (again, as this was my 2nd visit) or going somewhere else for a smoothie.

From a distance, it looks like a food truck, but it's actually a full setup designed to look that way. Even in the scorching heat, there was a line--but it moved quickly. Their menu has everything. Think of it as a Subway style setup, but with smoothies, tropical ingredients, and lots of fresh options. Now the main part...We ordered- Chicken Mix Baguette Tuna Baguette Am I the only one who found it just okay? At Subway, at least they toast the bread for a bit. Here, I genuinely struggled with the hard bread--it was tough to chew. Also, the meats were cold, which I'm not used to. I knew that beforehand, but still wanted to try this hyped spot. They have about 5-7 bar style stools for seating, but in the humidity, it's not the most comfortable experience. Freshness (smoothies & ingredients): 5/5 Overall taste & experience: 3/5 Or maybe we're just spoiled by the big fast food chains?

It also came with some plantain chips, which was a nice touch. I would definitely go back to try other sandwich options. The place is super cute and cozy inside. They have seating and outside, and it appears a lot of people also take their orders to go. The service was good. It was quite busy on Sunday morning. So, the team was definitely running around supporting multiple orders. We also had to wait a bit to be seated because of how popular the spot is. Parking is street parking, but I was able to find one fairly easy and close to the place.

It is incredibly disheartening that in a society where love and marriage doesn't last, children don't see their parents demonstrate love for each other and furthermore many end in divorce, for those that keep their love strong through the years, others frown upon it. We will not be returning to our favorite cafe because of their disallowance of our demonstration of this sort of affection together. Next time, weigh the value of people's complaints and opinions. Sometimes, people complain for many reasons, you have to evaluate when to listen to who and who at the end of the day are making the business decisions for your company, and whether they align with your mission and values in the community you serve.

Most dishes are shareable. I had ordered 3 because I was not sure what to expect being that I was on my own. 3 dishes was too much for just me but I did enjoy them all. I had mushroom croquettes, beef tartare and a pumpkin rice (felt more like a risotto) yum!!! I def took some home and was able to share some of my delicious experience with others. Service was kind and attentive. The overall aesthetics felt a bit cold, for me to lacked warmth. Considering this to be a more elevated experience for me the ambiance was a miss. She kindly asked us to wait a bit and promised she would find space for us, and she did! We waited about 30 minutes and made the most of it by enjoying a drink next door at a Haitian pizzeria. And let me say... every single minute of that wait was absolutely worth it. From the moment we sat down, everything was exceptional. The service, especially from Grace was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The wine Vallegarcia Viognier 2022 selection was excellent and perfectly complemented our meal. We started with the mushroom croquettes and beef carpaccio, both outstanding. My friends had the octopus and couldn't stop raving about it. I ordered the fish, and it was simply amazing, fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. And then came dessert... the cheesecake. We ordered one to share among the four of us, and it was so incredibly good that even those of us who didn't plan on having something sweet couldn't resist. Truly unforgettable. Idan Bistro delivers not only incredible food, but also heart and hospitality. We will definitely be back! Thank you!
