Last night we had the most wonderful experience at Idan Bistro, a true gem for Basque cuisine. The restaurant was completely full and had no reservations available, but Grace went above and beyond to accommodate us. She kindly asked us to wait a bit and promised she would find space for us, and she did! We waited about 30 minutes and made the most of it by enjoying a drink next door at a Haitian pizzeria. And let me say... every single minute of that wait was absolutely worth it. From the moment we sat down, everything was exceptional. The service, especially from Grace was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The wine Vallegarcia Viognier 2022 selection was excellent and perfectly complemented our meal. We started with the mushroom croquettes and beef carpaccio, both outstanding. My friends had the octopus and couldn't stop raving about it. I ordered the fish, and it was simply amazing, fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. And then came dessert... the cheesecake. We ordered one to share among the four of us, and it was so incredibly good that even those of us who didn't plan on having something sweet couldn't resist. Truly unforgettable. I'm glad I finally made the time to swing on by. I literally pass by here daily as part of my daily commute. Food was good, lots of flavor, elevated ingredients and presentation. Most dishes are shareable. I had ordered 3 because I was not sure what to expect being that I was on my own. 3 dishes was too much for just me but I did enjoy them all. I had mushroom croquettes, beef tartare and a pumpkin rice (felt more like a risotto) yum!!! I def took some home and was able to share some of my delicious experience with others. Service was kind and attentive. The overall aesthetics felt a bit cold, for me to lacked warmth. Considering this to be a more elevated experience for me the ambiance was a miss. My wife and I are regulars at Edan. We recommend it to everyone. I've seen the few one star reviews and most mention how good the food is. lol. Today we tried the new corn soup. The gazpacho is my wife's mainstay and now I think the corn soup is mine. Damn! Just good and displayed well. Their Iberian is the best in the city. Their cheesecake is well known and well worth the trip. Their take on steak tartar and other Spanish dishes is lovely. Beautiful plating and taste amazing. An amazing wine selection as well. We had the most amazing experience at Edan. It was a large party and we were still treated with such care and they were so quick and attentive. They portioned out all the dishes to come out and truly everything was sooo divine. The mushroom croquettes make you want to lick the plate clean and they have a nice crunch with a pillowy inside. The pan con tomate, although simple, you can tell they use great ingredients because it was so flavorful and well balanced. Made a resy here after watching a few videos on it and I can say that I totally recommend. The service was intentional and friendly. The chef came by the table and greeted us. Vibe is relaxed and modern. The food was good. Had the mushroom croquettes which were insane. The steak tartare was good but would have like the meat in smaller pieces but that's just my preference. The corn and blue crab pasta was delicious and inventive. The steak was good but because it's so thick it was not evenly cooked but still delicious. All in all a great date night experience. My palate is having its way through Miami and Edan Bistro did not disappoint! They're located right next door to Cotoa (check out my review). The place is cute, clean and organic. That's what I felt. I went alone and chose to sit at the bar (I was offered a table). The welcome was nice and warm. The food was absolutely delicious and came out in good timing and temperature. I had the crab and corn pasta. The cavatelli was cooked to perfection. There was a good amount of crab meat and the dish was simply perfect! The duck breast is cooked to order medium rare. It was sooooo juicy and delicious. I was blown away and thought about getting another dish, but I didn't want to fill up and miss out on the basque experience. I'm so glad that I went directly to dessert. The basque filled me up and it was perfect and delicious! I loved every bit of the experience! 18% gratuity is already added to the check and with an additional tip, my bill was under $100 and it was worth every cent! Edan Bistro was simply magnificent! I was so looking forward to enjoying dinner with friends and family after having tasted two dishes at Eeeatsacon(foodie festival) a few weeks back. Warmest of welcomes, and great suggestions for wines; you're able to taste what is offered in a glass and I settled for a Rioja Tempranillo La Sirval so delicious. While we waited for the rest of our party to arrive. We ordered their mushroom croquettes and jamon Iberico croquettes. Each has their own sauce but the mushroom ones were my favorite, but the other ones were also really delicious. Next the crawfish with green peas in a white wine sauce and fresh spongy sourdough bread...ooh heaven! We wanted to order everything on the menu, ha..but we decided on the pumpkin creamy rice with aïoli truffle, meat broth, micro greens, absolutely spectacular! Salty..just a touch of sweet perfection! Paired with the Lamb Rack with cauliflower puree, Demi glacé tender, juicy so good and Crowning glory dish was the Dry-aged Boneless Ribeye! With coarse sea salt medium to medium rare temp! To die for! Melt in your mouth! A must for the carnivore in you! Came with crispy potato wedges. And to wrap up the night, their famous Basque Cheesecake!! No price too big for heaven! Got that chance to try out their basque cheesecake during an event called eeeatscon in bayside and I have to say it's probably the best cheesecake I've ever had in my life period. This place is absolute perfection. They do not need pretentious decorations in the restaurant. They let the food do the talking. When you walk in, the dining area is very simple and plain. (In a great way). The space is clean and open. I would recommend making reservations given that it is a small dining area. We did walk in and they were able to accommodate us thankfully. From the moment we sat down, we were given the menus and fresh ice cold water. When our waitress came to take our order she made great wine recommendations and let us know of the specials they had. It's a small menu which lets you know the chef is the most likely going to take you on an experience. To start off we had their mushroom croquetas. These were so delicious! For entree we went with the dry-aged boneless ribeye. How can we not? I had been drooling looking at pictures online. And it did not disappoint. OMG.... That steak... *Chef's kiss* perfection!!! The sear and crust on the outside was immaculate. And they top it off with a finishing salt. Wow!! The flavor is just so good. The meat is so tender and high-quality. It is a 30 oz steak so it is the perfect size for sharing and comes with a side of potato wedges (which are also amazing). Our waitress also offered ketchup or aioli to go with the fries which was really nice. For dessert of course we had to get the basque cheesecake. We started with the appetizer Scallops carpaccio, Mushrooms crquetas, Angus beef Tenderloin brioche. i was finally able to come taste the food at Edan Bistro and I must say is very good. We had the mushroom risotto, the Huevos rotos, croquetas were great! Meat was good and so was the tortilla. The Sangria was good. Service was not good. There were two girls and one had a better attitude than the other, but not great service. I feel that for the type of restaurant and food offered the service should be better. Is a small restaurant so you would expect better service. This is a place you can't tell how good it is from the outside. But it's a whole new world inside. The service is amazing and they are super attentive. The menu is not large but I like that because they make sure everything is great. We had the mushroom croquettes which was different but amazingly good. A must try. It was a date night and my wife was crazy to have a steak so we ordered this huge ribeye which was amazingggg. It was alittle pricey at 90 dollars but after you eat it you'll understand why. Kaixo! We dined at Edan Bistro in North Miami in October for my sister's birthday. Upon entering, our first impression was that the decor was quite busy, with palm tree wallpaper and abstract paintings, and we had expected a larger space. The atmosphere didn't quite align with the food theme, but we were mainly focused on the food, and I was especially excited to try the Basque cheesecake, so we didn't mind too much. Just making a note, as we anticipated a fancier setting than what it turned out to be. Our server was very kind and made sure the kitchen took our food allergies into account. He recommended pairing the dry-aged ribeye with the pumpkin creamy rice, which turned out to be delicious. The ribeye had more fat than we expected, and as a result, we probably lost about 10 oz of meat. However, it was still more than enough for the three of us to share. The presentation was very poor (see image), as the plate seemed dirty on the edges. I personally would have preferred it cooked a little more, but since it was a shared dish, I didn't mind too much. The highlight of the night was the Basque cheesecake, which was hands down the best I've ever had--and it was gluten free, which was a nice bonus! We hope to visit again! Gero arte! read more

Great little place, fits the "hidden gem" category. Lots of free parking in the back (already we're off to a better start than Miami Beach or Lynwood). Inside the decor is simple, but the tapas (all fitting neatly on one page of the menu) are the star. Ordered the croquettes ($15 - loved by all); octopus ($28 - it was artfully presented and a little harder to share, but I'd get again); steak tartare (4pc on toast - easy to share, $22); foie gras with toast (sooo good, a little pricey at $27 though); duck margret ($27 - mixed reviews because one end was tender but the other a little tough). Edan Bistro is one of my favorite brunch spots. Since it's tough to get a dinner reservation here--the place is so popular--we've been sticking to their brunches. In the morning, the restaurant is quiet and almost empty, which I love. One of the best things is that their brunch options aren't the usual fare; they have unique Spanish dishes, like the potato frittata with pan con tomate and, best of all, the steak sandwich. You just have to try it! The burger is fantastic too (coming from me, a picky burger eater, that says a lot!). I also tried the salmon toast and the salmon scramble, but I honestly prefer the other dishes. Now, the cheesecake! OMG, the cheesecake! I can't imagine a better one than Edan's. The center is so creamy, almost like melted ice cream, with an irresistible vanilla flavor. Somehow, they serve it at the perfect temperature too. I could come here just for the cheesecake. The service is always 10/10. It feels like a family-owned place; the baristas and servers are so friendly and warm, which just gives you one more reason to keep coming back. Tried Edan for the first time and it was really good. Food was very fresh and tasty. Spanish Tortilla was really good and the steak over bread was very tender. The cheesecake was different than other basque cheesecakes, it was a little runny and soft, not sure which of the ones I had was the real taste. Tried this restaurant for dinner and had higher hopes. The mushrooms with artichokes the artichokes from either a can or jar thet were not fresh! The grilledgrouper tasted veey fishy and was plain no sauce no flavor was not good. The tuna with the pea foam puree was not ahi and was a lower quality of tuna tasted almost frozen you could tell by the color. The cheesecake was the best part and parking is easy. read more

Oh wow, what a find. Honestly never had a better cheesecake, so good! This is your upscale tapas restaurant each portion can be shared by two people nicely. Among the dishes that we ordered duck stood out the best, I think they will recommend the rib eye which is probably delicious too, but I have never had a better duck, it was cooked to perfection. Some dishes were brought out by a waitress and she didn't explain what were the ingredients the way you expect the waitress to do in a place like this, unlike the waiter who explained it every time, so hopefully this is something they can fix. read more

The evening started with a glass of wine which the waiter was kind enough to let me try before committing to a full glass. For the table, we ordered the mushroom croquetas and the steak tartar (I highly recommend both!). For our entrees, we had the lamb and duck with a side of roasted potatoes. Great service great sangria. My fiancee was sick all weekend. Fist meals she wanted the shrimp ajillo not realizing it was rustic style. The food was very good. The service was good UNTIL we basically got kicked out because the waiter said they needed the table. The waiter started to pick up 3 of our wine glasses still WITH wine on it!! When we asked why the answer was: We need the table!!! This is after my daughter and my husband spent over $300 and we were celebrating mother's day! How sad! We were there close to 2 hours and about to leave anyway. My sister, cousin, and I visited Edan Bistro a few days ago. We ordered the ribeye (not pictured), a variety of tapas, and the Basque cheesecake. I personally enjoyed every dish, but my favorite was the ribeye. I particularly liked the salt crystals sprinkled over the steak. The dish came with a side of potatoes, which were a bit dry but flavorful. Special note: the ribeye had A LOT of fat. I am not particularly a fan of it so I found myself eating around it. We appreciated how helpful and patient the waiter was. He took the time to explain every dish thoroughly as we had a few dietary restrictions at the table. My only complaint is that the ambience and restaurant interior does not seem to match up with the quality of the food. It felt very laid back, almost like a corner store cafe. I think the restaurant could attract more attention if they reconsidered and invested in the ambience. read more
