Brought my car in just before 8 am on Friday 7/8/25. The…read moregarage bays were not open yet, but Mike was already in the office going through his day. I explained to him that my 2017 Honda CRV EX AWD was great when we bought it used a couple of years ago, but ever since it got repaired from a parking lot fender bender, it has not been quite right. That back in April, my dash lit up with Christmas lights worth of trouble codes. I filled him in that I had taken the vehicle in for a diagnosis at a Honda Dealership, and they diagnosed it as the turbo. I paid a couple of hundred dollars for the diagnosis, and they quoted 3k to replace the turbo, parts and labor. That was a a bit steep, so I bought a refurbished turbo from Honda, and a friend of mine who was comfortable working on cars helped me swap it out. The old turbo housing did have a crack. Even after the new turbo, the error codes still persisted. Mike said they would take a look at the car and also check give a full look over of the engine bay. A couple of hours later, Mike gave me a call. He explained that some of the wiring that connected to sensors and solenoids affecting the turbo were corroded. He mentioned that the parts were not sold individually, (wiring harness pins), but that if I was ok with it, they could use pins and connectors from an old harness to rebuild the corroded sections. He gave me a quote for the process, it wasn't cheap, but to me it was well worth it to put this issue to rest. He also noted that the coolant reservoir was a touch low, which they topped off. They also straightened out the service panel under the engine that got damaged recently due to improper fastening. Oil changed for me, I provided the synthetic oil and OEM filter. A couple of hours before their closing time, I received a text message that my vehicle was ready for pick up. When I went to pick up the car, Mike informed me of all of the details and how they resolved the vehicle's gremlins. He noted the wiring being the issue, and likely the turbo did not need to be replaced even though here was a crack in the housing. Had I taken my car there first, I likely would have saved myself from spending all the money I did at my local Honda Dealership. Autowave was not cheap either, but it was less than I expected it to cost. I felt they were honest, and performed the work meticulously. I write this review two days after they serviced my vehicle and it truly drives wonderfully again. I just wish they were a little closer to my home, as it was a good 40 minute drive each way. Still worth it.

First after replacing a few spark plugs and Ignition coils that burned out repeatedly - and was not the actual problem (took car home and it was shaking violently the next day again) Tim told Me ' you need to see an ECU specialist ( cars computer) and actually recommended me to one company that were specialists. As I was on my way to tow the car to the specialist, Tim called me back and said 'hey, guess what - it's the ECU( um, we already knew this and you said I need to go somewhere else for am ECU specialist). Tim said he had the last ECU new computer in the U.S. on hold. Tim, who said they don't do this type of work just the day before said "It will cost $3350 and we can program it too." Ok. Weird. Just before this conversation with Tim, I talked to 4 ECU Specialists in the area. Only one thought they could fix it and they would only charge $1150 for Parts, labor and programming. Tim suddenly decided they could do it. He can lie with a big smile on his face, sadly. And his boss didn't listen to what actually happened - he interrupted me and was really aggressive. He shut me down saying 'I was going to remove the ignition coils and give you a small, partial refund - but now I won't." Big man..."ladies, beware of these crooked mechanics." Seriously, I would never let these men touch my car ever again. If you want to be drastically overcharged and lied to - and not refunded when they misdiagnose the problem - run! Don't walk away from 'Sh*tty, Service' - oops, I mean 'Super' Service' - what a horrible and stressful experience. These people only care about one thing. Ripping you off. I have filed a BAR report on them. Hopefully they don't get away with fake repairs...I had a previous bad experience with Tim also - he tricked me into signing a doc that they would charge me $150 for diagnostics on the Engine light. There was a host of 'problems amounting to thousands of dollars. I left and got a second opinion. None of those issues were actually wrong with my car. And he wouldn't apply that $150 to my Repairs as promised. He took that money and didn't actually repair a thing. Very salesy 'fake friendly'. Watch out!! I hope businesses like this are quickly replaced by integrity-based, service oriented companies who stand by their word. Please don't let them rip you off too.

I needed to find an affordable auto shop with knowledgeable staff that wouldn't take advantage of the situation. Fortunately, I discovered H2D Motors, conveniently located nearby. Since I needed my car to be towed there, it was a relief to find a shop so close. I called H2D Motors and spoke with a polite individual who informed me that they could see my car on the same day. I arranged to have my car towed to their shop so they could assess the issue. Upon my arrival, they provided a timeframe of about an hour and a half for when I could return. Before starting any work on my car, they explained the problems that required immediate attention, as well as issues that could wait. As a single mother, I appreciated this honesty. I ended up having the coils for my spark plugs fixed, and the entire process took less than three hours. The staff did an excellent job. The owner was courteous and engaged in pleasant conversation. We talked through the pricing and everything was beating what I was quoted from the dealership. First thing I noticed when I walked into their business was all his family photos. It's nice to talk with someone on a personal level and not feel like a number like I do at the MB dealership. I got a service in which Nick beat the quoted price from the dealership. I was having some brake issues and knew that I needed new pads and possibly new rotors. Nick was very honest and let me know that only my front pads needed to be changed and that my back pads still had more use ahead. He also let know my rotors were good so no need to change.
