My C350's command control center console knob finally broke. The shaft inside is made of cheap plastic and so it eventually snapped and when I would spin the control knob, nothing would happen. The knob still worked if you shifted it up, down, left and right, but it wouldn't work if you were spinning the dial. This is a common problem for my vehicle as I read on the forums about it. It seemed like an easy and cheap DIY fix, but I didn't want to run any risks. Before finding MB Elite, I called a few other local shops and they all said the entire console had to be replaced and quoted me an outrageous price for part & labor. Luckily, I was able to speak with Brandon at MB Elite and he right away knew this common issue and gave me a quote that was HALF the cost of other places. He knew about a repair kit to replace the plastic shaft with a metal one so it won't break again. I was so happy MB Elite was able to say yes to repairing it rather than making me buy the entire unit! I arrived and Steve was there to help check in my vehicle. They said I would have to leave the vehicle for the entire day so I had a ride waiting for me. It would be nice if they gave out loaner vehicles because I have had services at other private shops and they provided a loaner. So just prepared to get a ride somewhere if you're going to get your vehicle repaired here. Steve said he'd give me a call around noon with a status on my car, but he never did and when I called, nobody answered. I ended up just getting dropped off about 2 hours before closing on a Friday to check on my car since I never received an update. I waited about an hour in the waiting area, but they had netflix to watch and the guys are pretty good with conversation so you don't get bored. Steve finally brought my car back, but it was unwashed since the car wash place was too packed and couldn't get to it. He was nice enough to give me a discount on my repair service AND a card for a free hand wash. That was really nice of him and I appreciate that. My car was back to normal again and the knob still works perfect! They also were nice enough to help me fix one of the tension fingers that popped out of the cup holder for free. Overall great shop and Steve is down to earth, they didn't push on upselling me on any unnecessary services! They do get busy so you'll want to call ahead to book a time in advance. read more

Steve needs to come back!! The new guys do NOT fix what they say they will, I have brought my car in 6 times for the same misfire issue and it is still not resolved! Even after paying thousands for a full new set of spark plugs!!! That should have resolved this issue for at least 4-5 years, not 9 months. They cut corners and do shoddy work. This has been my go to shop for the past 6 years and today I move on. No more half ass work. No more Non-repair work. No more going back over and over every 60-90 days for THE SAME issue and being charged again and again. These gentleman saved the day! I was parked next door in a parking structure, and my car battery died. Matt brought a new battery over to my car and swapped it out right there on the spot. I had my 1999 s 500 Mercedes serviced today . The team was extremely polite and professional. They did an excellent job and did not try to sell me unnecessary services . The charges were very fair and reasonable ad almost half of what Fletcher Jones would have changed. I plan to have all future services performed here More good news , MB Team just serviced my daughters 3 series BMW and found a rattle that was seemingly impossible to determine the origin of.After through and persistent effort it was finally fixed! tl;dr If you own a MBZ, this should be your shop. So, my saga started with a salvage CLK that would not start. I was referred to MB Elite for problem cars by another shop, and I'm glad I went there. They diagnosed the issue (bad EIS), and fixed it while apologizing for the cost. Which was mostly parts and not their fault! I've been back twice since for thinks I can't fix, and each time they fixed the problem, have been generous with their advice, and the bill has consistently lower than expected. To top it off, they have done little things on each visit that were above and beyond the call. They are a small shop, and they don't stay open early or late, but they are very much worth your business. My biggest fear is that they get too popular to get a service appointment. Really - this shop is a unicorn. Honest and fairly priced. read more

I called around and MB Elite only charges $250. They are super friendly, nice and HONEST. I brought my car in and they let me use a loaner to get to work while it was being serviced. They gave me a free carwash, AND pulled a huge screw out of my tire and plugged it up for free as well. They also fixed the tire pressure in my tires and my car drives so much better now. I drove my Mercedes SLK55 AMG to Newport Beach, CA for a convention. By the time I pulled into the parking lot of my hotel, my power steering unit was completely fried. I called the local Mercedes Dealer, and was told they could "get it in in a few days and the cost of replacement would be $1,300. Since I was only scheduled to be in town for the 2 day convention, this timing would absolutely not work. I looked online for an Mercedes specialist, and found MB Elite. I spoke with Steve in the initial call, he was so unbelievably personable and understanding of my predicament; although it was nearly closing time at their shop, he still invited me to bring the car over for an inspection. I met Tom at the shop who quickly assessed the damage and said he could have the unit replaced by noon THE NEXT DAY! He then helped arrange a rental car for me, Enterprise picked me up, quickly processed the paperwork and had me back to my hotel with a nice rental by 6pm. The following day as I drove the rental car back to MB Elite, I could see my car sitting in front of their shop sparkling from the impeccable wash job they gave it. I paid the bill (which was a fraction of that quoted by the dealer), after-which Tom drove me to Enterprise to return the rental car. Now bear in mind these guys knew I was not local, and that I would not be a regular client. Yet they treated me like I was the most important person in the world. Now THAT is SERVICE!! I drove home from Newport Beach in my clean, great running car, feeling as though I made some really good friends at MB Elite. I take my 2004 E320 in for various types of service: Maintenance: Lube, oil, filter: $90, four-wheel alignment: $80, and so. IMO, prices are competitive (when compared to the dealer and other MB shops). Non-maintenance: Here's where it gets good. Had an issue w/ a transmission, in which it would not shift gears. At first they could not figure out what the issue was and had stated the worse case scenario would have been a transmission rebuild (the double by-pass of automotive repairs). But the cool thing was that they were super thorough in their discovery and at the end, Steve and team found the issue to be a faulty valve and software issue, which took a total of two days to find/correct. Throughout this process, their team kept me well informed and updated and I couldn't help to assume another repair shop would have just suggest the rebuild instead of research what the true issue is. Service: As stated in previous experience, it's just the best. Rides to my office when I need and other times, they even replaced car lights free of charge. Car comes back washed every time. Suggestions on upcoming service and what might be a potential concern. Truth is that finding a skilled mechanic can be tough and while I'm not committed to purchasing another Mercedes, I just might so I can have this mechanic work on my future cars. read more

Came here because the other Mercedes specialist down the street was closed and I am so glad I did! I came here after a horrible incident at Oilstop in Costa Mesa because my car kept telling me that my hood was open because the guy had jammed a rod in to keep my hood open because my struts were blown. All in all, I came here and the guy popped my hood open and saw the problem immediately. The sensor that is under the locking mechanism got pushed out and you could see the wire and sensor just dangling. He fixed it and fixed my wobbly seat in like 10 minutes - fast enough to get my butt into work on time! They were so nice and accommodating I am definitely coming back for my service B which they quoted was going to be around $280 for my C240 :) What a deal! If you have a benz come here! They definitely know what they are doing and are much more affordable then Fletcher Jones. read more

I've been taking my SLK 280 here for several years, recently my engine light came on (I could tell it wasn't bc gas cap was loose ,)) Of course it happened rt before the 4th of July holiday & I had to work. They always take care of me. I trust that this is a place I can take my car to & not get ripped off. They dialed me in with a rental car rt before they closed for 4 days last Wed. . I got my car back today, repair wasn't expensive thankfully but it was wise to not continue to drive it (95,000 miles) , . Another kudos to them -I had a CPO warranty that expired last December & they actually told me about an oil leak I was unaware of & sent me to Fletcher Jones (so I could get it fixed before warranty expired ( would have been $900) , they didn't have to go that extra mile but they did. As a female who doesn't know alot about cars I recommend this place to any Mercedes owner , you get superior service at half the cost of the dealerships. I don't write many reviews but wanted to acknowledge the great people who work there . Won't go anywhere else! & so happy to have by car back :) I'm kinda screwed though as I drove a nice 2013 Corolla for 5 days but my lil hunk of steel is a beauty & I don't think I will buy any other kind ./ so will do everything to keep her running as long as she can ! I had to update my previous review of MB Elite. These guys are amazeballs!!! Once again, Steve and his guys went above and beyond their call of duty. I was in a pickle and needed my trunk fixed before a road trip to Vegas. I had a budget and they totally helped me out and squeezed me in even though they were already booked for the day. They got on it and busted the work out quick. I was there for all of 20 minutes. They even checked the air in my tires. These guys are always very polite and offer you something to drink while you wait, if they don't drive you down to the awesome little market / restaurant, A Market, to wait That is if you are going to be waiting for a while. I really love this place and the crew that works there. They are beyond knowledgeable when it comes to Mercedes-Benz repair and maintenance.
