Despite a revolving door or techs (one special tech was caught on security camera calling our equipment stupid and walking away) we had minor issues with their service. Minor until we started getting brown spots in the pool and my service tech told me I needed a bypass because the constant flow was causing copper spots. Tech said "definitely would be a good decision". Aqua Pools charged me $450 to install it. That didn't fix the issue. Still had spots and Aqua Pool said they can't do anything about it. Next, then the heater would not turn on/off with the control box. Aqua pool tech told me my heater was bad and he recommended it to be fixed for another $450 or so. The heater warranty crew (different company) then came out and said 1. The bypass being engaged will damage the heater and 2. The system had been put in a different mode - causing the on/off issue. Each warranty visit cost me $125. SIMILAR TO OTHER CUSTOMERS and REVIEWS ON HERE- CHECK THEM OUT. I called Aqua pool management (Vickie) and expressed my displeasure and lack of confidence in my service. I asked if they could credit me for the last $125 and try to stop this from continuing to repeat itself. She said she would get back to me. Then one week the tech is a no-show and said to contact management. When I called to see what was going on, she was short and rude, talked over me, and told me they were cancelling my service. She reminded me that I was displeased with what had happened and the solution was to part ways. She said she sent emails - three times - I guess not professional enough to call or take care of the customers or capable to work through conflict. They want to blame the customer. Same as other reviews. Should have seen the red flags. DO NOT RECOMMEND - cost me more money in the long run.

They ran diagnostics, bench tested and pool tested. Determined the unit needed a new motor unit - that they had in stock. Replaced the motor unit. I suspect they probably had several hours of labor diagnosing and repairing but they only charged me for the part. Yep, no labor charge! So for ~$300, I got my cleaner back in operation. Every week the clerk at my old store tested the water and drew a "happy face" on my results. I would tell him it was green, show him a picture etc., he would call a senior clerk. She would give me something else to try and tell me lots of people had the same problem. Finally I went to Pinch a Penny. They tested the water, listened to my problem and said "your phosphates are too high." They explained that algae, so even if I killed it it quickly regenerated. The very helpful technician and her manager gave me a couple things to do. A couple days later my pool was clear. Morgan, in the office, guided us through the design process and picking out the things we wanted with great patience...we changed our minds on things and she was so graceful. Jaxon was our project manager and did a great job of showing up, confirming we were pleased with the work being done and getting things moving along, taken care of through it all. The pool looks beautiful and we are quite happy with the work they did and the people we worked with.

Blue Haven Pools & Spas is, without question, the worst company I have ever dealt with…read more I've built a 20,000-square-foot home and completed countless construction, renovation, and build-out projects over the years. I understand that delays can happen, but I have never experienced such poor communication, lack of accountability, and broken promises from any contractor. In June 2025, I paid a $48,600 deposit for a pool renovation. After signing the contract, I didn't hear from anyone for over a month. I repeatedly called and emailed before finally reaching someone, only to be told they couldn't start as originally promised. The project didn't begin until February 2026. My first project manager never provided a direct phone number--only an office extension where he was never available. For months, I left voicemail after voicemail and sent countless emails to him, the office staff, and the branch manager. Most of them went completely unanswered. Eventually, the branch manager contacted me to say my original project manager had left the company (or was fired). I was assigned a new project manager who at least answers his phone, but every conversation has been another promise with no follow-through. I still can't get firm dates or straightforward answers. To make matters worse, I was told I had to pay the remaining balance of the contract in full before the final phase of the project could be completed. I did exactly that over two weeks ago, and since then they've had a crew on-site only once. Back in February, I gave them a very reasonable completion deadline of July 1, giving them more than enough time to finish what is not a large or particularly complicated renovation. Instead, my project has sat completely idle for a combined total of at least two months. To make matters even worse, because of Blue Haven's repeated delays and poor project management, I was forced to spend another $2,000+ to upgrade the pool plaster simply so it could cure faster and be swimmable sooner. Because of these delays, I now have renters arriving and will likely have to let them stay free of charge because the pool is unusable. Instead of a finished renovation, I have a construction site. This company has shown a complete lack of professionalism, communication, scheduling, and customer service. I'm honestly shocked they're still in business.
