I was initially happy to bring my car here, but unfortunately, I ended up having to come back because I was very unhappy with the quality of the work. My windshield was cracked, and I paid $275 to have it replaced. During the process, they discovered rust underneath the windshield and offered to repair the rust free of charge. They also offered to replace the rubber trim around the windshield. While I appreciate them offering additional work at no cost, that does not excuse poor workmanship on the service I originally paid for. I did not ask for those additional services for free--they offered to do them. In my opinion, fixing something extra for free does not give a business the right to do a half-done job on the actual repair the customer came in for. When I looked at the finished work, I noticed that the corners and rubber trim were not properly lined up. I brought this to their attention calmly and respectfully. I was not yelling or being disrespectful--I was simply expressing my concerns about the quality of the work on my vehicle. Instead of listening to my concerns and addressing the issue, I repeatedly heard that everything was "fine" and was reminded about what they had done for me for free. That was frustrating because my concern was not about the additional work they offered. My concern was about the quality of the work I paid for. What made the situation even more disappointing was being told to "calm down" when I was already calm and speaking in a respectful and articulate manner. As a Black woman, being told to calm down when I was simply expressing a legitimate concern did not sit well with me. I came in expecting professional work and professional customer service. Instead, I felt dismissed and as though I was being expected to accept work that I personally believe was not completed properly. I am sharing my experience so that other customers can make an informed decision. If you choose to come here, I strongly recommend thoroughly inspecting the work before leaving and speaking up if something does not look right. i literally still have gaps in my windshield to it's going to have water damage. I've been to Majesty Auto Glass twice now, and both times the actual installation was fast and well done. I've never had an issue with the quality of their work, and I'm hoping this most recent job will hold up just as well. They definitely get the job done quickly. I think their quoting process could be better. I was quoted $250 over the phone, but when he was making my receipt, he tried to charge me $25 more for "old molding." The technician asked how much I had brought with me and if I was paying cash. I told him I only had the $250 I was quoted, and he honored it. I appreciated that there wasn't a lot of back-and-forth after that, but it made me think they should only give firm quotes in person if they're not certain about the cost over the phone. While I was there, I noticed another customer had been quoted $365 over the phone but ended up paying $395. I've also read reviews mentioning similar increases, so it does seem to happen from time to time. My advice to customers: confirm your price before they start, or better yet, get the quote in person so there are no surprises. The receipt was also questionable. It listed $75 for the windshield, $160 for 2.90 hours of labor (even though the work took maybe an hour), and $8 for materials, plus tax, totaling $250. The pricing itself isn't horrible, it's just confusing. There's no reason to say 2.90 hours of labor if it's really an hour; just be upfront and list it honestly. Overall, the work has been solid for me and they're quick, which I appreciate. Just make sure to confirm your price and review your receipt so everything's clear. read more

I now call this place "the Royal Magesty of the Auto Glass Repair World" because this family owned business lives up to their majestic name. I was down in San Diego for a community event when all of sudden my front passenger window malfunctioned and couldn't go up. I started to get worried someone would be able to break into my car in the parking lot. I didn't want this to ruin my day so I called around by using Yelp as my resource to see if I can make a last-minute appt. I was surprised to hear a lot mechanic shops were closed on a Saturday...I thought to myself "don't they know this day is golden for business". I almost gave up...made my last random call and an older guy answered. I explained to him what happened. He told me to come in. Thank goodness! This shop is a heaven-sent. While driving there, I was thinking my window issue was really really bad; but, when I got there, they addressed my car's window situation immediately...letting me know it was an easy fix (phewww). Unfortunately I have to give this company a low rating. I initially went to them to fix a large crack in my windshield. I live in LA but also come down to San Diego a lot to see my brother. I have a 2019 Mercedes E class convertible so there is tech around the SOS area where the rear view mirror is. My car windshield replacement was completed on the day of the appt in 2 hours. The employee who did my windshield told me before leaving that an "SOS inoperative" light was on and that it was normal and would go away after I drove the car for a while. I found that odd but trusted him. That evening in my car I went to use my internal map lights and they didn't work. All of them were not functioning. A day later the "SOS Inoperative" light was still on and I called Majesty to fix it. They expressed there was no way what they did could have done this but they would double check everything to be sure. After waiting another 2 hours at their shop while they troubleshooted they said they couldn't find a solution and that it was a coincidence that the lights didn't work and the "SOS inoperative" alert was still on and that I should go to the dealer to resolve. I told the employee at this time that if I tell Mercedes that an outside company did my windshield they wouldn't cover it under warranty and I expected them to cover costs if so. He replied "no need to bring it up to them that my windshield was replaced." I said "well I don't want to lie to them but if they ask me I will he honest." I went to the dealer to resolve and it turns out it was an electrical short in the system that happened during the install of the new windshield. I was able to confirm it was the fault of Majesty and when I contacted Majesty they said this has never happened and did not take accountability for their mistake. Just because something has "never happened" doesn't mean this isn't the first time it's happened. Poor excuse on his part and truly dropped the ball on owning up. I then expressed to them that I had to stay in San Diego and miss work due to this inconvenience and they should credit me for this issue and they declined. It turns out mistakes are ok with this company and there's no accountability or action taken to make things right with their customers. They said because they feel they discounted me less than what dealer would have charged me that that was my "credit." Unfortunately I can't recommend them and urge you to not go to them if you have a car that has electrical in the windshield. They are nice people but will not own up to their faults or do right by their mistakes. That's not the kind of business you want to trust with your car. In reply to the business owner below for all of you to see. Mercedes Benz of El Cajon did not fix this as a recall. They fixed it as a part of my normal warranty from me purchasing the car from them. I want to make sure this is clear so anyone who reads this understands the owner is not taking accountability for the electrical issue that happened as a result of their install. Admitting to a mistake is an important human trait that they don't have. SEE ATTACHED PICTURE AS PROOF THAT I DON'T HAVE OPEN RECALLS OUT. Also to prove that they are WRONG further I've been transparent and included the 2 recalls that were done on my car in 2021! Nothing this year that is SOS related. So this issue was a result of their doing but they can't admit that and make it right. Proceed with caution when dealing with them. read more
