I went to Major Tomato a couple of days ago with a couple of my friends. It was in the evening and its a small place but they weren't crowded so we were able to get a table. We ordered drinks which they have a variety of (I got a couple of Knudsen juices), as well as a Caesar salad and the medium 14" inch Aloha pizza which is like any Hawaiian pizza. Everything surpassed expectations and was fresh and delicious. The pizza is thin crust, but I'd have to say overall that this is the newest best pizza restaurant in Allen Park. Plus everything is organic and there are gluten free options. If I'm ever in the mood for pizza and don't wanna go more than a few miles away from home this is the place I will be eating at. read more

Stopped in for the first time. Nice little place, clean. I got a 10" pepperoni and bacon for lunch and a black cherry fountain drink. The pizza was out in under 15 minutes. The pizza is pretty good, good crunch to the crust and good flavor to the sauce. The pepperoni and bacon seemed like afterthoughts flavor wise, didn't add much. Major Tomato is a wonderful family establishment and I'm so glad they opened in Allen Park. I took my third grade class here for an economics field trip last year and the students loved it. The staff was wonderful to work with when organizing the field trip and so welcoming to students and parents alike. They even opened up for us on a Monday when they are typically closed. MT is a valued addition to this community. I also frequent Major Tomato myself, outside of school trips. MT is a great alternative for health conscious folks who still like to indulge in "junk food" like pizza, burgers, and hot dogs.. My favorite things to order are the Sir Rancha Pizza and the Major Cheese Bread. They also give you the option to build your own pizza, burger, or hot dog. Most of the time I carry out, but occasionally I will dine in. The service has always been friendly and prompt. When dining in, you place your order and pay at the counter, then find a seat and someone will bring your food out to you. The atmosphere is inviting and clean, and I love the artwork on display! I Love Major Tomato! I have tried and loved several of their Freshly, Handmade Flavors, like the "Choked Up" made with Artichoke and a creamy Artichoke sauce (my favorite), "Killer Tofu", which is Tofu, Jalepeno, and a spicy hot Sirocha Sauce-Delicious, but get ready to feel the heat. I also love the Breakfast Pizza, and Pizza with Pepperoni, Green Peppers, Onion and Mushrooms-a bit more traditional. The Pepperoni is fresh and hand sliced-none of that corporate frozen pre cut stuff-as are all the toppings and ingredients made fresh. And Major Tomato Pizza is not greasy-I get none of that next day "pizza bloat" The staff is warm, freindly, and professional. The inside of the Restaurant, as well as the outside tables remind me of a bistro-like Royal Oak here in Allen Park. Very good pizza! The crust is amazing- one of the few places where I actually eat the crust instead of discarding it (yeah I'm one of those people). I have so far tried their cheese Louise, and chocked up pizzas. Both were really good, but I have to agree with others, this place is on the pricier side for a pizza, especially if you are like me and like to add extra toppings. It can get quite expensive very quickly! Nonetheless, I highly recommend it. This is a gourmet pizza place, not your average "I'm so hungry so let's just order a pizza" place. Pretty disappointed by the pizza. Ordered a barbecue and the major tomato. The barbecue chicken was burnt and pretty difficult to chew through. The BBQ sauce is pretty tangy if not spicy. Large chunks of chicken and bacon. Friendly service and was prompt. I was absolutely shocked at the price: For two pizzas and two drinks it was $36. I drove in from Ann Arbor to meet my sisters (who live in Allen Park) and parents for dinner. My mom recently went gluten-free, and she heard this place has gluten-free pizza dough. I'm always leery of gluten-free breads, doughs, etc, but I tried her pizza and it was delicious! The crust was very thin and crispy and the pizza tasted great. Besides that, the veggie burger was tasty (and at $5 a great deal), and the atmosphere cheery and fun. Great little Allen Park business! The building is small so there's not much seating but take-out is an option. The place is very clean and everyone is friendly. The food is good, I've only had the pizza but both times it's been delicious. They serve "better for you" pizza and hot dogs. I have now been to Major Tomato at least Twice. Throughout my visits, I have had the Aloha twice, and recently, a Burger. I really enjoy the food here, and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for something healthy and Local. They have a range of Pizzas, and in addition to these you can get Custom Pizzas, Burgers, and Hotdogs. Many of the toppings on these custom Burgers and Hotdogs do not cost extra, which is nice. In addition to these foods they also have Salads, Breadsticks and bottled drinks, such as Pop, Tea, Virgil's sodas, or Knudsen juice drinks.
