I lived there for ten years & have since moved out-of-state. It was not always a great experience (problem neighbors) but in the end, it's a good place to live if you like order and rules. The Association does get rid of neighbors who are serious problems -right away -Thankful for this. Makakilo cliffs is a quiet well-organized community. MC has a strong neighborhood association and by "strong", I mean they have a heavy hand on the 'rules'. If you don't like rules, don't live there. If you want to feel safe & enjoy rules then, by all means, go-for-it. There are well-lighted carports for two of your cars, washer, and dryer in all units, lower units have yards, though each is different in size etc. Each unit has 2 bedrooms, 2 full baths (1 shower, 1 tub-shower combo). All out-facing windows need to have "white" curtains/blinds etc. Air conditioners should be covered in a white box. Some units have solar electricity, some don't. Lower units have fenced yards and upper units small balconies. There is an on-site manager who inspects your outside property monthly and hands out citations that can end up very costly if you don't comply right away. Some units have great views, some have a roof as a view. Every unit started out with the same exact decor/build but since MC was built in 1991, many owners have remodeled inside. Some are beautiful some are of original decor etc. I enjoyed my ten years there and would recommend to anyone not minding STRICT Association rules.

The view is pretty around sunset, but I bet it'll look even prettier at night when you could see all the lights look like stars.

However, the resort pricing overall food value was disappointing. At check-in guest are giving a discount card for 10% of Off at the Market and certain resort locations, which is appreciated. However, if you forget the card in your room while heading to the pool or Beach, you were simply out of luck since purchases can be charged directly to the room, it seems like the discount should automatically apply to the guest account instead of requiring a physical card. The 10% discount definitely helps because Hawaii is already expensive but the price is at the market and eateries felt excessive. For example we had 6 drinks and two orders of fish and chips at Long boards and the bill was $171. Unfortunately food felt like it mediocre pub food, which made the cost even harder to justify. Overall, we love the beauty of Ko Olina and the warmth of the people, but the resort pricing felt comparable to Disney without the food quality or value to match.

There's a bar with lots of food and drinks and great music. The pools and spas are amazing and of course the few of the lagoons. We are Marriott members and this is not a Marriott property. We always enjoy shopping at the Disney store here. On this trip I bought a cute dress for me, T-shirt for my grandson, and a few other little things. After shopping we walked out to the snack shop to pick up $80 in snacks to take out to the lagoon: fruit, chips, cookies, etc. There are so many choices for snacks and nothing is inexpensive.

This has been the worst experience I've ever had staying in a hotel when do you need to make a reservation to eat your restaurant when I've already made a reservation to stay in your hotel makes no sense. It's OK. We found a restaurant way better we're not gonna be spending any money at this hotel. Honestly, it's a bad experience, overpriced overpaid. The rooms are basic. It's like a hotel in Las Vegas like the circa. I don't recommend this not $1000 a night. Having to make reservations for food at a kids friendly hotel is crazy. What kids do you know that eat on a time schedule they're hungry when they're hungry. You guys lose money on this one thank you. Island vintage coffee shop for the great food. Honestly, the hotel is really not that nice. It's a basic standard room that you would see in any other resort style hotel style complex overrated overpriced overplayed too many rules coming from somebody that lives on the island I will not be recommending this place.

Laura came highly recommended by our property manager, who had managed our home for several years--and now we know why. Please check out my review for Hawaii Pacific Property in Kapolei if you are looking for a good team to manage your home. From the start Laura was professional, organized, and extremely thorough. What stood out most about Laura was her empathy. She never pushed us to sell but truly listened and supported us through the process. Although we had exhausted all the options to make it work, I still had hope that somehow someway we could keep our beloved home. When we finally decided to sell she made a great personable presentation. Her presentation included clear charts, graphs, and market comparisons that made the process easy to understand and gave us full confidence in her strategy. Costs were upfront from the beginning. We were also in the process of purchasing another home on the mainland and had interviewed several realtors--and no one matched the caliber of Laura and her team. Their professionalism, communication, and genuine care set them apart. The communication was outstanding. We were notified every time someone viewed our home, and we received weekly email updates on how many times our listing had been viewed online, what homes sold in the area, . Laura personally called my husband or me every Monday with updates, and her team sent weekly seller reports with clear next steps. Everything was seamless, using DocuSign, Zoom, and other digital tools that made the entire process smooth and stress-free, even while we were on the mainland. We are so grateful to Laura and her team for guiding us step by step and making this sale such a positive experience. Highly recommend if you want a team who is professional, compassionate, and reliable!

I initially contacted Team Lally because Chat told me about their Guaranteed Sale Program, which…read moretheir website promotes as a way to sell your home quickly -- or they'll buy it. The website makes it sound straightforward and gives the impression that you can confidently move forward with purchasing another home. I mentioned this directly to Alesia Borja (MRP, SRES, PSA) before our Zoom meeting. As a listing partner with those credentials, I expected her to understand the program and explain how it works. Instead, the meeting turned into a long one-hour listing presentation, and the Guaranteed Sale Program was not discussed at all, even though that was the main reason I contacted them. Her follow-up response was that she would "connect me with the broker for clarity" and that the program is not designed for sellers who want a home sold in 30 days. That felt like my question was sidestepped rather than answered. Adding to the confusion, my husband listens to Adrienne Lally and Attilio Leonardi on their Saturday morning radio show, where they consistently say that "if they cannot sell your home, they will buy it." That messaging is very clear, yet the explanation I received suggested the reality may be much more limited. Because of that, the Guaranteed Sale Program felt more like a marketing hook to draw people in rather than something clearly explained upfront. Pros: Organized general listing presentation. Cons: The Guaranteed Sale Program, heavily promoted on their website and radio show, is not what it appears to be. Despite this being the main reason I contacted them, the program was not discussed at all during the meeting. Adrienne knew I already have a realtor, who would facilitate my purchase while Team Lally would sell my home, yet the program was still sidestepped. No follow-up has been received.
