Scheduled a moving for June 21 on May 30th. Got a confirmation and paid a deposit. Asked for a 9am start time as the rest of the day needed to be planned out. Well today is the day and so far about an hour and half has passed since the requested start time but don't see a moving company here at the house. Called Tim at 9:00 am, voicemail. 9:05 am, Tim picked up and informed me there was a one hour window for arrival. This was never made aware of at time of booking but okay. 10:00 am rolls around. Still no movers. Called Tim at 10:05am, voicemail and left one too. Tried again at 10:23am, guess where it landed?? You guessed right voicemail. If you are looking for unprofessional moving company that doesn't take the initiative to contact you of any delays or just keeps you in the dark. I believe you know who to hire. Now to find out how ethical Tim is with the $100 deposit that I already paid as no services were rendered... Update: was contacted by another individual female, forgot name, apologizing about the scheduling mishap and said movers would be out here by 1pm. Being the nice guy that I am, I gave them an opportunity to correct a mistake. Boy, was that a mistake. 2:05pm at time of this review edit and still no further information except a TEXT apology from Tim. What a nice courtesy text, not a phone call.... professionalism. Anyways morale of this rant is, you book these guys at your own risk. If you are looking for a timely, responsive, professional moving company; look elsewhere. You have been warned. read more

My wife and i were downsizing from a house to an apartment in the interim of getting our new house built. We decided to get movers as we had a fridge that was gifted to us and i didnt want to ruin our house for sale by inexperience of moving large objects. It would also save my wife and i so much time with it being just us two. When we sold our home it was tough to gauge when we should officially move out. When we decided on a date, my wife and i were still unsure and ended up choosing movers within a weeks notice (i know, not smart). It was two men (Andre and Charles) and they were the most efficient movers ever. I cannot emphasize that enough. At our move in destination, our apartment was on the 2nd floor and it was raining too! These guys were courteous and just great at what they do. We recently relocated from Orlando FL to Sacramento CA using pods from Pack Rat. We hired movers on both ends of the move. Because we didn't know any local movers, we really needed a truthful recommendation. We went online to Hire a Helper and we're able to view many movers with ratings, different price quotes, and availability. Tim had very good ratings and NO NEGATIVES, and NO NO-SHOWS. His price was competitive too. Both Tim and Hire A Helper had very good communication before the move, including email reminders. Payment authorization for the completed move was online too. Tim was even able to move up our move time because of inclement weather. The crew did a very good job and we're non stop. They moved furniture and boxes as we requested, and just kept saying yes sir, no problem sir, we got this. This put out minds at ease, especially with so many fragile items. HAPPY MOVE FROM SACRAMENTO AREA TO BOISE, IDAHO - 6 Stars !! What can I say? I was very impressed with the whole interaction with Tim (Make it Easy on You Moving) I called this company to get a quote to pack a U-Pack trailer that I had reserved. Tim asked me a few questions. I was concerned about the number of items we had to load so he agreed to make a house call. I felt comfortable with his professionalism that I asked him if he would offer his moving services. I canceled the U-Pack trailer and hired Tim instead. On the day of the move, Tim texted me if they could come a bit earlier than the agreed time. I said Ok. They used blankets, shrink wrap and tape to protect the furniture and worked hard non-stop loading the truck. This was on Friday February 8, 2019 and the weather did not look good. We were driving to Idaho on Sunday and needed our furniture on Monday the 11th. Snow, chains and road closures were forecasted. All of it happened. In spite of that, Tim kept an eye on the weather and road closures and after 14 hours driving all afternoon and night of Sunday/Monday he showed up to my house in Idaho at 6 am. Decided to take a 2-hour nap and by 8:00 am sharp Tim and his team started to unload. All along we kept in touch via Text messages. All of our furniture arrived in 1 piece except a dinette table. One leg broke in transit. Tim did not hesitate and offered to fix it. He took the leg back to California and 1 week later we had the leg back. It looked like it never broke. I would not hesitate to recommend Tim and his company to anyone looking for quality, reliable and prompt packing/moving services. They are not the cheapest nor the highest but every dollar we spent was worth it. It says a lot when the owner is involved in every aspect of the move. GREAT SERVICE!! Able to come next day to move our heavy items. We were originally just looking for someone to move our huge fridge...they managed to take ALL our furniture in one load! It was pouring rain outside all day and they still came out and busted their butts. 2 hour minimum and I was AMAZED with their efficiency, wrap-load-move-unload took about an hour and a half (the houses were close together) and I think they totally earned the whole 2 hours pay, and a tip on top! Even with the rain, they took care in our new home on our hardwood floors. Upon the unload process, the paint on the front porch got chipped by the fridge. How these guys managed to get that huge thing through the door is beyond me. Magic. I made the mistake of not mentioning the chip that day, and I let it bug me for the next week or so. Then I texted Tim and he came out and repainted my whole porch! For free! And it's beautiful! I cannot praise this company enough. I will definitely be recommending them to all friends and family. I first met then because they bailed me out of a bad situation: the packing company I hired canceled out literally the morning of my move. These guys were willing to pitch in on no notice. Imagine what a nice surprise when they ALSO turned out to be the most efficient and courteous team I've worked with in any move I've had! Tim brings a team of however many helpers are needed, as well as things like dollies and moving blankets. I especially liked that they were really good at moving odd shaped items - they broke down and reassembled three boxes into this totally awesome artwork moving container, for instance. Moving is already stressful and my experience with Make it Easy On You Moving did not help. They required a deposit, which made me nervous, but I was in a pinch, so I didn't have much of a choice. Then to my dismay, they showed up, not 1 but 2 1/2 hours late! We were supposed to start at 2pm, and didn't even start until 4:30. They were so concerned about getting everything in one trip, that they spent extra time reorganizing the truck when they could have easily done multiple loads (only moving 5 miles away). They also broke some of my dishes handed down from my mom, but did reimburse the damages. They really put me in a hard situation when moving, but the movers were nice guys. It was just heartbreaking to have such a rough (and expensive) start to my first day in my new home. Also, keep in mind that they charge you $1 per mile to drive from their location in Sacramento. My move is in San Jose, so that was an expensive surprise. BTW- You guys misspelled guarantee on your website. read more

I called the right guys. I used U-pack to move a household from Midwest to CA. My place has a very narrow lot on the corner of a busy street, and I was very concerned we did not have room to park the moving van. Ultimately, we did get the van in, but Timrelieved a lot of my stress by giving me some other options in the event we could not. Dre and De were also absolutely wonderful in the unloading process. Tim and Dre helped me move and the whole ordeal went as smoothly as I could have dreamed. Moving is VERY STRESSFUL (I absolutely HATE IT), but they worked so quickly and efficiently that I felt completely at ease. Tim, the owner, has a super-crazy accurate sense of space, and knew exactly what positioning things had to be to fit onto the truck or fit through the narrow doorways of very old houses. It was pretty amazing, really. They made sure to lay blankets down over doorway thresholds so their dollies wouldn't scratch wooden floors. They also took apart furniture and reassembled them with care and grace. I can't reiterate how impressed I was with them through the entire process. ALSO, they came in with one of the lowest quotes of about 12 different places. The best part was their minimum was 2 hours, as opposed to the 4 hours most places quoted. Furthermore, they worked so quickly and efficiently that they only took 2 hours instead of the 3 they quoted me, so they saved me a couple hundred dollars right there. I did have to download Venmo to pay them since I hadn't used the app before, but that was no big deal. I would not hesitate to use them again, or to recommend them to anybody and everybody! read more

And while other moving companies wanted to charge me a several-hour minimum for such a small job, Tim was willing to work with me. He made an exception and gave me a very reasonable price for this small job. He went out of his way to fit me into his busy day and worked within my schedule. Today, this company helped us load a 27 ft trailer in preparation for a move. We had 4 people to help and hired Make It Easy to provide professional knowledge on how to load to get the maximum out of the trailer. Two of their employees showed up to help, Charles and Andrew, and they were amazing. We had started loading before they arrived and they changed the sorting of the loaded items to use the space more efficiently. They then spent 5 hours loading so much compactly that they saved us $500 in trailer space, more than offsetting the cost of their service. We only pay for the trailer space we use. And throughout the time they were there, they were personable and professional, recognizing the value of people's possessions. And they were patient with all of my novice questions and concerns. If all of the companies employees are like these two, then you never have to hesitate to call when you need moving help. read more

Tim was great--he went way above and beyond even what most movers would do! I had recently moved to Sacramento area and needed help getting a big sofa I had night from FB Marketplace since I didn't have a pickup truck handy. Tim accommodated my request to move the sofa on a day that was going to be decent weather being available both before (early!) and after his scheduled big moves this Sunday to make it work and make sure I was able to get my sofa moved properly. He made sure the sofa was covered in a furniture pad so it wouldn't get dirty and wrapped the cellophane around the whole thing. They were very patient and helpful and did a great job. And since it wasn't a whole apartment move he gave me a fair price compared to what other movers would have charged me! I highly recommend anyone who is moving to use Make it Easy on You Moving!
