Well today is the day and so far about an hour and half has passed since the requested start time but don't see a moving company here at the house. Called Tim at 9:00 am, voicemail. 9:05 am, Tim picked up and informed me there was a one hour window for arrival. This was never made aware of at time of booking but okay. 10:00 am rolls around. Still no movers. Called Tim at 10:05am, voicemail and left one too. Tried again at 10:23am, guess where it landed?? You guessed right voicemail. If you are looking for unprofessional moving company that doesn't take the initiative to contact you of any delays or just keeps you in the dark. I believe you know who to hire. Now to find out how ethical Tim is with the $100 deposit that I already paid as no services were rendered... Update: was contacted by another individual female, forgot name, apologizing about the scheduling mishap and said movers would be out here by 1pm. Being the nice guy that I am, I gave them an opportunity to correct a mistake. Boy, was that a mistake. 2:05pm at time of this review edit and still no further information except a TEXT apology from Tim. What a nice courtesy text, not a phone call.... professionalism. Anyways morale of this rant is, you book these guys at your own risk. If you are looking for a timely, responsive, professional moving company; look elsewhere. You have been warned.

Spencer, once he sorted out what was happening to his team, came to our home and personally helped finish the packing. He pulled another team in after they finished their morning assignment and by the end of the evening we had four people working hard alongside us to get the truck packed so we could roll. A business shows you how well they care about you by how they handle an unexpected error. Even though we were leaving the area and there is little chance we will be able to make use of Good Moving Solutions again Spencer was more than fair in the charges. And Wes made sure the junk we needed run to the dump after we had left was taken care of the next day. Under pressure they helped us instead of throwing up their hands and bailing. As an extra testament to their work - the crew we hired on the unpacking end of our trip complimented how well the truck was packed. First Review They were able to maximize the space available. I would say this is company better suited for short distance and local moves. For longer distance moves in the future, I would use a professional team that wraps, packs and loads the truck to protect your item. Between this team and the trucking company. When I arrived at my destination it was a complete disaster. I would have liked them to me more careful with my delicate items example work boots on leather ottoman, or stacking heavy boxes on more fragile items. Once I brought it to their attention they made most of the necessary adjustments with some push back although I am not sure why. I ask repeatedly to get the items wrapped and properly. The minimum allocated time is 3hrs but it felt rushed and was completed within 2.5hrs. I think with some patience and with a little more coordination we could have packed better and made fragile items more secure. I think they were in a hurry to get to a separate job.

I was severely disappointed as I specifically choose this company as I wanted to support a Black owned business. They were late, did not possess a moving truck but instead towed a trailer (which resulted in our mattresses being exposed to the elements on top of the vehicle towing the trailer), they came across as lazy as they wanted our help, they lost a screw to my bed, and our desks, bed frames and dressers had knicks in them when it was all said and done. They simple did not handle our belongings with care and it showed. Did I mention that they stopped moving me to do another job and then returned later? The communication regarding payment was lacking and when I addressed it the owner decided it was a great idea to get into a yelling match with me over a few dollars. He was completely wrong but I paid it quickly out of the fear of retaliation. One of the movers also smoked marijuana on the job and ventured in to inappropriate conversation that bordered on sexual harassment and at a different point I was asked to take one of the movers to get food. Please, if you care about your sanity and your belongings, use any service but theirs. It has been my biggest regret as of late.
