I was aimlessly searching Yelp, looking for something special that stood out amongst the clutter of endless listings for Sacramento area moving companies. I spoke to Kevin for nearly 20 minutes, and over the course of our conversation, I informed him that I had most definitely confirmed my selection of who to go through for moving! I could not believe how down-to -earth Kevin was, as well as how he patiently addressed each and every concern I had. The second time we used their services I knew our needs were exceptionally difficult, since we then needed two, nearly 8 foot high, all-glass shelves moved down a flight of concrete stairs as well as transported to my storage unit, miles away! Miraculously they moved every piece, again meticulously ensuring to wrap each one individually with great care. The pricing for such an endeavor was beyond reasonable as we expected a hefty fee and the personable team of movers truly made the entire experience a pleasure, especially because every piece of glass made the move safely. The other items also made it to their destination just as they had left, on top of that, they set up my new home just as I wanted, conveniently by the point of a finger. Three weeks ago I called Kevin at Make Your Move 916-799-0117, and scheduled my move from El Dorado Hills to Folsom and he was so matter of fact about his hundreds of satisfied customers I was impressed. So he e-mailed me with a list of a dozen repeat customers I could call to verify the quality and professionalism of his moving company. So my wife, Cindy, and I communicated with about 7 of the references to verify the work Make Your Move did for them in the past 6 months and we got rave reviews from all the customers we called of Kevin's. Therefore we called back immediately to book our move with Kevin. It was such an easy process and the guys showed up 15 minutes early to check in with us and unload the moving supplies and equipment. Jaime and Scottie were very organized and quick to get things on the 26' truck for us. Then they made sure to ask us if we wanted any of the fragile items placed in our own vehicles for transport. Which was a great idea, because we did have a few very fragile vases that are family heirlooms and it made sense to have those few boxes placed in our cars. With my husband and I having back problems, having someone move our stuff is essentially our only option when moving. Very impressed with how this company operates. Communicates really well. We moved out of an upstairs two bedroom apartment into a downstairs three bedroom apartment. We had three movers help us, and they did a fantastic job. They were Russian - not that it matters to me - but their English was a little hard to understand. I am pointing this out because this did NOT affect my move one bit. The main gentlemen of the three communicated with me very well, was very informative, and very professional - regardless of any language barriers. They took very good care of moving our things out of the apartment, and paid special attention to things that had glass, light bulbs, etc. It's always a little uncomfortable having people you don't know in your home, but they made me feel comfortable and at ease. The owners of the company, Kevin and Scott, checked in with us to make sure things were going ok. I let them know we were super happy and impressed. If you want a professional, friendly, clean, and respectful company to move your stuff, call these guys and tell them you saw my review. You won't be disappointed. And remember - you get what you pay for. If you want a cheap company to move your stuff, you will get cheap service. I would 100% recommend Make your Move Folsom for your next move. We used them a couple weeks ago for our move and they were beyond amazing. They showed up the day of the move, evaluated what we had and quickly realized that we would have to make 2 trips in my Dad's trailer so they let us use their truck at no cost since it wasn't in the original estimate. The 2 men that showed up were so professional, clean, very nice, and made moving even the heaviest of my furniture look the easiest I've ever seen. They picked my 400 lb table like it was nothing. We also had a small safe that needed to be moved, but every other quote I received said they would charge an additional $150 just for the safe, but not Make Your Move they included the safe in the entire quote. Everything Kevin said to me originally on the phone he stuck to, I wasn't charged any extra fees or hidden costs just their hourly rate and at $70 per hour they could not be beat. I was skeptical that they would drag out the move or take a long time since it was such a good quote, but these guys hustled so fast, it was awesome!! I wish I could give them more than 5 stars because I was in a real predicament when my friends who had hired another mover called two Saturdays ago to tell me the guy had cancelled the morning of the move. So I was in a panic when I got Kevin's Move Masters number for another friend at Intel. I spoke to Kevin at 9 a.m and by 10:30 he had a two of his top movers at my house in Granite Bay. I couldn't believe that I could call these movers and within less than two hours they were there with a 26' foot truck and all the tools, equipment and supplies to move us. I have a 4,000 sq. ft. house and had two truck loads of furniture for these guys to move, so it was a bit of an undertaking. But Kevin reassured me that he was sending two of his best guys. He was 100% correct because Scottie and Justin hit the ground running when they arrived and started unloading my house and had a game plan of how to best organize it on the truck. I am so thankful to Kevin's crew and his company for being so reliable, hard working and were very effective time managers. I have not one, but two amazing experiences with these guys! They moved us into our new home from a two bedroom apartment about a month ago and I was completely shocked at how quickly they got everything loaded into the truck. They were ready to head up to the house in less than an hour, all while making sure all of our furniture was wrapped and protected for the drive. They unloaded everything and had no hesitation on bringing each box to our desired rooms. These guys even took apart and put back together each bed and bed frame we had! The move was an all around stress-free, amazing experience for us! Fast forward to a month later, we are getting new furniture delivered. We need to clear the room for the new couch, so of course tried to do it ourselves. With many frustrations, were not able to maneuver it properly to get through the door. I texted Kevin to see if they might be able to help, thinking it was a long shot. I received a call almost immediately and with no hesitation, he said he would have people out today to help finish moving the pieces. I haven't used this company yet, however I spoke with Kevin today, and he was one of the nicest people I have come across in a very long time. Although he was extremely booked, he made time in his schedule to assist me, when after at the very last minute another company cancelled basically the day before my move. They sure did me a favor. Kevin offered more than fair price and I truly got a sense that this person really cares about what he does. I don't really know anyone here and was really in a panic I would not find someone in time. I feel I have found the only moving company I will ever need and I am quite certain I will have nothing, but more positive things to say about this company after the move. This was the 2nd move I scheduled through "Make Your Move" movers. Last December, Kevin sent me two great guys, Gary and Kelly, which got me out of a last minute, (can't find any movers), jam. Because it was such a good experience, I decided again to go with "Make Your Move", this time with utilization of one of their trucks. Friday, a different Gary and Sean, showed up right on time with hand trucks, moving blankets, stretch rap, and everything that was needed for the move. They were friendly, funny, professional and most of all, very hard working. Once they started, they never stopped. Their temperament eliminated a lot of the stresses that usually comes along with moving. The icing on the cake was seeing the truck drive off once the job was completed. There were no U-haul or additional charges to contend with. I have moved several times in my life and I must say that these last 2 moves with "Make Your Move", were the most pleasant and uncomplicated as I can remember, not to mention reasonable in cost. We called Make Your Move Folsom to get an estimate on moving three very large pieces of a home office in Rescue, CA. We spoke to Kevin at 916-799-0117. My wife and I are retired, are not as resilient as we used to be, and we were concerned we had selected furniture that was too big to be moved into our room, let alone fit in the room. We called on a Saturday, and Kevin provided an estimate that was not only the best one, but indicated he could do the move in the next few days. We looked at other movers, got estimates, but chose Make Your Own Move. Our move was scheduled for Sunday, the next day, in the afternoon. Every time we called the phone was answered by Kevin. On Sunday, about an hour before the move we started getting calls from the moving team, composed of Chris and Kevin (who looks like Woody Harrelson). They arrived exactly on time, and unbelievably moved everything up to our second floor and into our room. There was no damage, and the visit was wonderful. Kevin and Chris were polite, competent, and amazingly strong. This is the first time in many years that something that sounded to good to be true, was even better than represented. These guys are awesome! Had two storage units to move stuff out of and then two houses to condense into one. So we called Sacramento Movers Move Masters 916-294-5573 and were pleased to talk to the owner who was so helpful. He gave us usefull packing and moving tips to prepare for this big move. We had them come over a week prior to our October move and they helped us pack up our two houses. My fiancee and I were overwhelmed by this move but Justin, Steve, and Scottie were so enthusiastic and were so quick to help us get more organized and pack the right way to ensure safety of our items. Then the day prior the owner called to confirm the move, the price and all the details of our move. Then the day off these guys worked so hard but were very efficient, so the job that could have taken two full days only took one day. It was a real team effort between the three crew members and the owner who called in every few hours to check and see how the move was going.There price was the lowest we found for a licensed mover in the Sacramento area so we were pleased to stay below our budget to make this move happen. We are so impressed with how hard Albert, Robert, Sam, Will, and Bill worked tirelessly and with such a great attitude the first day and then, they had to come up with a crew to come back for a second whole day with the same awesome demeanor: Albert, Robert, Shawn, and Jordan. We really thought it was a one day job ... That was a joke...(our 81 year old mom is a bit of a pack rat!) Those guys never stopped, worked 13 hours on Saturday, and another 9 on Sunday that they hadn't even planned on... And this was the weekend of a July 4th!!! They were so amazing--taking our big furniture apart, wrapping it to protect it, and putting it all back together at the new place!!! Everything was treated with the utmost care and respect, including how they treated our mom and all her stuff--just like she was their own grandma!!! My bolts on my bed were stripped by the guys who moved us five years ago and Albert went above and beyond the call of duty to drill them out and put new ones that fit it perfectly and more sturdy than ever!!! That was not the only thing he had to just take on and fix--as the lead, he took things that would have been a problem, and just made it work without compromising our stuff or our move!!! read more

My experience was stellar. I'd give them ten stars if I could. These are probably the best movers I've ever worked with - and I move a LOT! First, they're licensed and insured. You don't have to worry about your stuff getting trashed or about the health and welfare of the company's employees. Very important! The communication was great. We were notified of the crew's arrival time AND they arrived exactly when they said they would. They confirmed the price (exactly what we were quoted) before the movers even started working. They said they'd have us unloaded within an hour and they beat their own estimate. Bill and Tim handled everything with the utmost care - even my dad's old hi-fi stereo which really looks like a piece of junk furniture, but to me it's a priceless heirloom. I was incredibly grateful for the extraordinary care they showed while handling it. They were very careful with the apartment moldings, fixtures, doorways, and windows so there were zero scuffs or scrapes to patch up. A1 moving company!!! We could not have hired any better movers than the professional movers at Make Your Move Folsom. When we moved to our old townhouse, we moved everything ourselves because most of the really heavy oak furniture and LazyBoy sofa and double recliner were going to be downstairs. When we found out our new apartment was on the second story AND the stairs leading to the apartment were narrow and had three turns, there was no way we had the physical strength to carry the heavy furniture up the stairs, let alone maneuver the sharp angles. The fat LazyBoys and oak furniture were wider than the stairs, but the crew, comprised of Ray Dre and K, muscled the strength to accomplish what we thought would be impossible! It was amazing to see the crew make our move. In addition to their amazing moving skills overseen by Ray (who also carried the heavy furniture up the stairs), they were extremely polite and professional. Thought we were done but had a few more large pieces of furniture from our storage unit that we needed moved into this new house we are staging. I can not say enough positive things about this moving company. I have used them twice and have had the best experience both times. Never a disappointment from the first time you contact Kevin to book your move to the very end when it's sad to see them go. The movers are beyond general movers. Today I hired these wonderful guys for the forth time in eight months. First was to move me from my Carmichael home to a storage unit (2 actually) and again from the garage (same house) to a storage. The third time was when they moved my lady from Carmichael to Elk Grove. Every time was as smooth and trouble free as the first. Now I'm having them move my office from Fair Oaks to a storage in the Greenhaven/Pocket area. Do you see a theme here? Storage to storage and, oh yes, to storage. When my new office is complete I will actually have them move from the storage to the new office. Let me add this. I'm partially disabled and totally unable to pack let alone move my things. We had these guys move us two weeks ago. Had a huge houseful of items plus a storage unit to move from Sacramento to Folsom. Ok, so hiring a moving company is a bit like selecting a proctologist. They are going to know you inside and out, and things are going to be quite different after they have been in your space. We pored over Yelp reviews and recommendations before selecting Make Your Move Folsom. It seemed like a fantastic company, but those reviews and the responses from the company owner had us a little wary from the beginning. The movers were great. They worked quickly and carefully. They were friendly and helpful. The owner called us before and after to make sure that everything had gone as expected, and we were very happy. After they left, we found out that there was one little glitch. An item was inexplicably damaged (the movers really seemed to do everything properly, but things happen). Kevin, the owner, was apologetic and helpful and we squared it all away pretty efficiently. We are happy with the move, and with our new space. I have been using Kevin and his team for about 6 years now. I've moved quite a few times and every, single, time I have been astounded by how amazing his team is and how amazing Kevin is.
