We'd first seen Makeb's on Dixie Highway in west palm. So when we were in Royal Palm Beach and saw they had a location here, we decided to try it. I'm always looking for a good bagel place. The restaurant is located nearer to the street in front of the Walmart super center. It's very casual inside. You order a x pay at the counter and then they call the number on your receipt for you to pick up your food. Everything is packed as if to go. I got a rye bagel with nova spread. I also added in a slice of tomato. They were generous with the cream cheese spread. And I liked it all. My husband got a salad platter with Tina. A bed of lettuce with tomatoes and cucumbers along with peppers and sliced red onions. The tuna was topped with a lot of shredded cheese -- almost too much. He chose balsamic dressing. The little cup of dressing was a bit sparse. He also got a bagel that came with his salad. We liked the bagels enough to get two more to take home. Not many places carry my favorite rye bagels anymore, so I'll be keeping an eye out for their other locations. read more

Lunch time! Interested in trying this location (there is also a Makeb's on Dixie opposite Dixie Donuts). In a large plaza hosting a Walmart Super Center and a half dozen other eateries, with easy access at the Belvedere Rd traffic light. I ordered a Tuna Salad Platter with a toasted Rye Bagel. We waited a short time as our order was prepared and our receipt number called. My Tuna platter was a large scoop of Tuna on a bed of romaine lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, roasted red peppers and cheese. It was very good and my Rye bagel was just as I ordered. My favorite place for a custom bagel (jalapeño cheddar) big boy sandwich. The huge 2 egg sandwich with bacon, ham, and cheese is absolutely a killer combo. They offer inside seating as well as an option to order via their app to skip the line. My wife loves their 3 Egg omelette in the mornings and a grilled chicken Caesar salad for lunch. I visited Makeb's Bagel's and Deli in Royal Palm Beach for the first time and ordered an Asiago bagel with egg, cheddar cheese, and bacon. They gave me two thick slices of cheese, which was a bit much, so next time, I'll ask for just one or none since the Asiago already has cheese. I ended up removing it, but the bagel itself was great. I'm amazed this place is not packed full, slammed. We buy bagels at least twice a month from Makeb's and they are delicious. they make fresh bagels every morning and there as good as any bagel place you've ever been in. I like the everything bagel but I sometimes get an onion. My wife likes the Russian bagel, but sometimes she just gets a sesame. We have never been disappointed. I was heading to the Chinese restaurant when I saw Makeb's. Decided a nice bagel and cream cheese would be nice. The place is pretty large. There weren't a lot of people inside. Only one other customer enjoying a coffee. The girl at the counter was very friendly, exceptionally friendly actually. Two other young ladies were preparing sandwiches and dishes for the to go orders. My coffee was hot and tasty. The bagel I had was filled with cream cheese and was freshly baked that morning. Overall it was a very good experience and I would definitely go back again and try one of their wonderful omelettes or egg sandwiches. This place is located on the outskirts of a very big (Walmart) plaza: you will always find a parking spot and the gas station close to its building has always cheap prices! That's actually how we ended up there the first time: we were looking for gas at a decent price during the last shortage caused by bad weather. Since it was raining we decided to have our meal there, instead of bringing it home, at the only free table available: at 10:00am the place was full! I had a bagel with smoked salmon and cream cheese: I loved it, although the cream cheese was probably too much. In fact, when I ordered it again just a few days ago, I skipped the cheese entirely, and it was even tastier. My husband had a sandwich instead: it was good but nothing so special (in fact, the last time we went, he decided to get a bagel instead). The biggest surprise I had about this place, however, is the coffee. I am a very picky coffee drinker, I only like espresso and the only American coffee I drink is at Panera Bread (just because I mix all the coffees that they have, and add milk). The first time we came here I didn't notice that they also offer espresso, so I reluctantly ordered an American coffee, and asked for milk on the side: when I tasted it, it was so good that I didn't even add milk! So of course new to the area and I really wanted an iced coffee. However, they don't do any of that except for drip. So I figured I would get a breakfast sandwich. I was a little disappointing because on the website it is four dollars and 85 and the receipt I uploaded shows $5.75. I wish people would update their website but at the cheaper price it definitely got me in here. That's why I gave it a four-star. The service was OK. She wasn't over the top by any means, but the ambience and inside the restaurant was pretty nice and you could definitely dine in and enjoy yourself. Not like a Mother's Day thing or anything but just a I'm hungry Saturday morning and want to grab a bite. The sandwich was actually super good and I would totally come back for another one. Well thank goodness we have fresh bagels in vast variety close by. Every Sunday I buy 1/2 dozen of theses fresh yummy bagels. Jalapeño cheddar, pumpernickel, Asiago,Russian bagel, multigrain bagel, wheat bagel All the flavors I like always in stock. They have a full menu of breakfast and lunch which I haven't partake in yet but the little deli was full people were enjoying the food and customers were coming in and out.
