Do not trust your high-end cars with these amateurs! Here are my personal examples as to why this company is incompetent: 1. Paid $20k for custom exhaust on my McLaren 720s. M&M damaged my bumper. They admitted to the damage and I eventually returned the car to M&M for paint repairs. M&M said it would take a week in/out, but it took 3 weeks to complete. There were no updates; I had to ask every time. After the paint repairs, I took the 720s to my detail shop to get the PPF reinstalled on the freshly painted bumper, and M&M initially refused to cover the costs of reinstalling the PPF. I had to get the detail shop CEO involved with the M&M GM "Sa-le" to convince the M&M GM that they should cover the costs. The M&M GM's position was that there was no PPF on my car's bumper when the damage happened - even though my entire car was PPF'd before I brought it in for my exhaust modifications. "Sa-le" was arrogant, rude, and extremely difficult to work with - constant denial, projection, and blaming others. I've never met a more unprofessional GM in my life; he clearly instills a culture of arrogance and lack of accountability. 2. Despite my bad experience above, I decided to give M&M another chance and do an exhaust mod on my AMG 63. I received a $12k quote and decided to proceed with the work. As the work began, I got a call from M&M saying they didn't realize they had to remove my transmission for the exhaust mod and said I would be charged an additional $5k. At this point, I had no choice but to proceed. Once again, the job took two weeks instead of 2-3 days as promised, with no update reports from M&M. I got my AMG back and immediately noticed rattles throughout my exhaust. So much so that you could hear the rattles louder than the modified exhaust. I decided to take the car to a mechanic shop for an exhaust inspection, and the mechanic was shocked to discover numerous loose parts and connections that were supposed to be welded but were not. The mechanic was able to spend a day fixing and welding the exhaust and got it to proper working order. My cost for this repair work was $850. So I met with the M&M GM, "Sa-le" again and had the mechanic share the details of the repairs. The M&M GM essentially said it was my problem to deal with and he refused to reimburse the essential repairs the mechanic had to do to get the exhaust working properly. Unbelievable! After paying almost $40k in work to M&M, they refuse to stand behind their work, they refuse to take accountability for their mistakes, and they are arrogant and highly unprofessional. From here on, I will ship my high-end cars to dealers outside of Utah before returning to Makes & Models. Nothing but over-promises and under-delivery. I highly recommend you do NOT trust your cars to this company. Feel free to reach out to me if you want more details.

Honestly where to even begin with this place. Everyone hates major dealerships because to you all you are is just their next paycheck. I usually won't write any reviews unless my experience was bad. I feel like if it was good for me then it's good for everyone else. This dealership did so well I wanted to do a review because it was over the top. If you have ever been here they have a lot of high end cars so walking in being on the younger side I'm expecting to be told walking in oh look around our galley, snap some pictures etc. but nope I was greeted with Spencer treating me as I should be. Not once did he say have a look around and go take a photo with the supercars or whatever. He treated me more than a customer and didn't look at me as a young guy wasting his time. I was at a dealership earlier that day and they didn't let me drive the two vehicles I was looking to potentially buy because stupid reasons and to me it felt like oh he's young and going to for a joy ride and can't afford it. Spencer was the absolute opposite. Long story short him or the dealership didn't push me one single bit over the course of a few weeks I drove tons of vehicles all over Utah. Funny thing is I ended up buying a car that I wasn't even looking for because I stopped but just to see what was at Makes and Models. I told him about the RS3 they got in and Spencer said I know you like Audis and stuff but I didn't know this was a car you were wanting to check out. I didn't at all but he said lets go for a spin and see. I fell in love with this car told him this is the car!! We ended up doing all of the paperwork and everything the next day and I took the car home but there was an issue on my banks end so I was back the day after and Spencer was on a delivery with another customer but still trying to help me so another Salesperson by the name of Klerly was there and wanted to help. (knowing Spencer is getting the Sale) She went through all of the paperwork with me again with a smile and treated me just as well. Making conversations and just being so kind to me. Honestly she doesn't get enough credit here. Other people that were absolutely awesome here were the Service guys. While waiting for my bank stuff I was just talking their ears off about cars and the thing I love is they could talk mine off too because all of those guys have the same passion for me too. Another Honorable mention is the Manager Jon, John, Jonn haha I don't know which way he spells it but what a cool guy!!! I was like this guys the manager! I could just sit and talk to him all day he was king and treated me the same as everyone else which was a friend. So the main person to thank is Spencer! Thank you for bending over backwards and jumping through every single hoop there was to help me with everything. This dealership is absolutely amazing and I know for an absolute fact my next car that I purchase will be from these guys! I look forward to coming here again and thank you to everyone that works here!! The service guys, receptionist, detailers, lot techs, salesman, and the managers you guys are amazing and keep up the awesome and amazing work!!!

Our experience with GP Motors has been incredibly disappointing and frustrating…read more During the test drive, my boyfriend noticed the tires were severely sun-cracked and the TPMS light was on. He had to push GP Motors to replace the tires before we were willing to move forward with the purchase, and we were assured the TPMS issue would also be fixed. After buying the vehicle, we spent an entire day waiting for that repair, only to find that the TPMS light was still on. On our first drive home, we began discovering other issues that should have been identified before the vehicle was ever offered for sale. There was a clunking noise and broken glass in the trunk. The interior had clearly not been properly cleaned or detailed. It smelled heavily of cigarette smoke; the steering wheel was coated in thick black residue and sticky to the touch. We ultimately spent more than $100 detailing the vehicle ourselves. We've made multiple trips from Salt Lake back to GP Motors in an effort to get these concerns addressed. Each time, we were told they would make things right, yet little to no progress was made. Eventually, we were referred to JD Tire, who was far more helpful and are working to fix the issues. JD Tire found that both CV axles are bad, leaking axle seals, and dirty transmission fluid. Given the number and condition of these issues, it is difficult to believe the vehicle underwent a thorough inspection before being sold. Had my boyfriend not purchased the warranty, we likely would be responsible for paying out of pocket for problems that clearly existed at the time of purchase. Which brings to me GP Motors' decision to process these repairs through our warranty, despite the fact that the problems existed before the sale and should have been corrected beforehand. Initially, we were told GP Motors would cover only the $100 deductible. After I posted a negative review, manager Khrisitan sent my boyfriend a text that came across as rude and unprofessional rather than focusing on resolving the situation. The following day, my boyfriend was told GP Motors would still cover the deductible, but that we would be responsible for $250 in additional costs, including a diagnostic fee and a transmission drain-and-fill service. My boyfriend pushed back again, saying it wasn't fair that we have to cover those costs. Later they texted him again to say they would cover the diagnostic fee after all, but we would still be responsible for the transmission service. In that text, the manager stated that the salesperson claimed the vehicle had been cleaned and test-driven before being sold and that no issues were found. Based on the condition of the vehicle when we took possession, we find that difficult to believe. The strong smoke odor and residue throughout the interior, the sticky steering wheel, and the broken glass in the trunk suggested otherwise. At the end of the day, we are still being asked to pay out of pocket for issues that existed when the vehicle was sold. We have had to repeatedly push for even partial assistance instead of seeing GP Motors proactively take responsibility for the condition of the vehicle. I would strongly caution anyone considering purchasing a vehicle from GP Motors. Get everything in writing, have the vehicle independently inspected before signing any paperwork, and do not rely on verbal promises. Based on our experience, GP Motors failed to properly prepare this vehicle for sale and has not handled the resulting issues fairly. We would not purchase a vehicle from them again.

We were super happy with the experience and thought their sales team and cars were great. Fast forward to this year. We messaged them about a car since we were helping a friend who needed to purchase a car. I received a phone call from Trevor asking about our interest in the car and I told him we were coming in the next day to look at it, but mentioned to him we were looking at a competitors car as well. He told us that the competitors weren't good and sold lemon cars, which I thought was pretty negative of them. Especially since we've bought several cars from this competitor many times throughout the years and been super happy with them. And whenever we've told the competitor that we were looking at cars from Kentson, they didn't say one bad thing about them. When we went to test drive the cars today Trevor wasn't there but another sales guy helped us. He was helpful but all of the cars we drove were all filthy and smelled bad, or the tires were completely worn down and would have needed to be replaced. We walked back in to the sales floor after driving a car and our salesman wasn't there so we handed the keys to the salesperson there. He looked at us confused and like we were bothering him (even though there was no one else in there) and we wondered what was going on. We told him we were dropping the key off and were going to look at another one but didn't know where the other guy had gone. He didn't say much and it was really uncomfortable. Come to find out, that was Trevor that I had talked to the other day. It wasn't professional at all. Instead of greeting us and asking us what he could do to help us he just stared at us and acted confused. We went back outside and the other salesman was there with another car for us to drive. That one was much better, and my friend was seriously considering it, but after driving it we told them we wanted to check out the other one at Rand's just to see what it was like. They mentioned again how they sell lemon cars (they do sell buy backs with minor issues that have been fixed from Tesla) and that they would never buy cars from them. My husband told them that we'd be talking to the guy we usually buy from over there and we'd be in touch. All of us were really uncomfortable with how they were trying to trash the other car dealership and it left a really bad impression. We drove down to the other dealership and all of the cars there were so much better taken care of. They had replaced tires and detailed all of the cars and it was just a much better experience. We told them that we saw one at Kentson that we liked and he said that they are a great dealership and have good inventory. We all looked at each other and were blown away. It just made Kentson look even worse. My friend ended up buying the car from the competitors and not Kentson. And afterward both of us got calls and texts from Trevor asking us how the test drive was at the competitors. I texted him back that she ended up getting a different car (so that he didn't keep contacting us - talk about high pressure) and he wanted to know which one she bought! It's none of his business which car she purchased, and I knew he was going to look it up and tell me what was wrong with it and why we shouldn't have considered it. It was just super unprofessional and we all said we would never go back there. It's a shame because they used to be really good but they've gone way down hill!!

AVOID AT AL COSTS:…read more Yeah. Don't do business here. I bought a 2021 VW Tiguan new. Here we are, and its breaking down. I bought and paid for an all moving parts service contract, some how their system says it doesn't exist. WILD. So I take it in for an OIL LEAK. Days later, I am hearing back. The service writer took a day off, didn't transfer his work load to a coworker to check in on the car, left the customer waiting in limbo. Half of their digital estimate and repair system is confusing and junk. Two different things are causing leaks. One is fixed, the other needs approval, bringing the total to $1826. Taylor Dodson, the service writer, tells me that the total due is $1826 - for an oil leak. I find out afterwards that the bill is now $2820.26 because that $920 is AFTER the $1826. I have the message right here where he says the total cost is $1826. They nickle and dime you. I got 2x $195 inspection charges, for the same oil leak issue, that they claim is "separate". Charges for every little thing. Now I get to come up with an extra $1000. I wouldn't ever come back here, I don't trust them or their people. Shady business going on. Avoid if you are not filthy rich with money to just throw away.

As a repeat customer, I expected that loyalty and history would mean something, but my most recent experience has been extremely disappointing. I purchased a 2024 Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport SE with Technology, and with only approximately 2,200 miles, the leather seats are already showing cracking and deterioration. I understand that issues can happen with any vehicle, but what has been most frustrating is how the situation has been handled. I contacted the dealership expecting assistance with what should clearly be a warranty concern. I was told that information would be submitted to Volkswagen for review. After waiting and following up, I contacted Volkswagen Customer Care directly and was informed that nothing had been submitted on their end. That leaves me with a very frustrating question: was the claim never submitted, or was I given incorrect information? Either way, the communication and follow-through have been unacceptable. This dealership has recently transitioned ownership to Ken Garff, and I sincerely hope this is an opportunity to improve the customer experience. A new owner should mean a renewed commitment to service--not customers having to chase down answers themselves after spending significant money on a new vehicle. I have been a loyal Volkswagen SouthTowne customer, but loyalty works both ways. Customers should feel appreciated and supported after the purchase, not forgotten once the paperwork is signed. I have photos documenting the condition of the seats, and I hope management takes this opportunity to address the issue and improve the experience for future customers.
