This place is very vegetarian friendly as everything on the menu is vegetarian or vegan. The waitress asked even when ordering about whether we wanted to make certain dishes vegan. The picture attached is probably self explanatory but just to be clear, the food was very good. We tried the big macuna, Mediterranean pizza, and one of the potato tacos. We tried one non alcoholic beverage they had which was a mix of carrot, pineapple, and lemon/lime. All of the food came out perfect. The burger is something you should definitely try as starting point if you have trouble deciding. Finally service was excellent, the staff was very friendly and helpful. read more

This is an awesome vegan restaurant close to the beach by the office bar. Got the tofu scramble that came with a boatload of avocado. My boyfriend and I are both vegan and we had a tough time finding any vegan restaurants or even a place that served vegan options in Cabo. I discovered Mako through my Happy Cow app and I am so happy we decided to give this place a try. I had the Hawaiian burger with vegan cheese and a blueberry margarita. My boyfriend had the Mako burger with vegan cheese and a Modelo. Our food was probably the best vegan food we've ever had and the servings were huge! The blueberry margarita was to die for! The staff were all so friendly and attentive. My meal (burger and margarita) came to about $15 USD which I thought was more than fair. The atmosphere and music was very relaxing which added to the overall experience. We will only be here for a week but I am confident we will be back many times before flying back home. read more

This was my favorite meal in Cabo. No contest. We've come to Cabo three times now, and Mako is by far the best meal. We eat mostly vegetarian, so we are used to having just a few choices at most restaurants, or being underwhelmed by flavor at vegan places. The ambiance was very chill and the service was prompt and friendly. There was live music by an excellent artist, Oco Martinez. I ordered a Coconut Mojito and my husband ordered a beer. I really enjoyed my drink- I had to pace myself so I didn't drink it too fast. We shared the empanadas appetizer- it was beyond delicious. They were stuffed with goat cheese and walnuts, with a homemade pesto dipping sauce- I might be dreaming about those later. For the entree, I had the Firewood stuffed potato and my husband had the Big Mako burger. The potato, while I may have messed up the name, was big on flavor. I was so impressed by the depth of flavors in all the dishes. My husband burger was also excellent. I wish we weren't so full, because based on how good our meals were, I bet they have great desserts. To top it all off- 2 drinks, an appetizer, and two entrees- 30 bucks. How reasonable!? Vegan selection is decent, a small family owned business, very accommodating and able to answer all her questions about the ingredients. Food is alway good. I am not sure why there are not more reviews because Mako is outstanding food! It is outstanding food for vegans and vegetarians as well as those who subscribe to a diet including meat too. The food is fresh, flavorful, and crafted with precision. It's easy to spot the flavor notes advertised in the menu, and what we ordered was as delicious as it sounded in print. We started with some hummus and lentil chips, empanadas, and a vegan ceviche featuring palm hearts that was crisp, fresh, and busting with flavor: a hint of coconut and touch of citrus. We then enjoyed a roasted potato with a flavorful combination of vegetables, cheese, and a soy-based chorizo. Finally, we finished our evening with a light, crispy pizza half of which featured dates and goat cheese and the other half having pineapple and a blur of other fresh ingredients that I am not recalling except to say they made my mouth very happy. We also enjoyed a local beer and a sangria that was both tart and sweet...and very delicious. We will recommend this place to everyone we know vacationing in Cabo, and we will also tell them to go on Sundays to hear the great guitar player who entertains while you eat. read more

This place is the best approximation of heaven in the vicinity of Cabo San Lucas. It really is tho. We really appreciate the existence of a vegetarian restaurant in Cabo-- and a delicious one at that! I ordered the Big Mako hot dog and it was a explosion of delicious flavors in my mouth. Sometimes fake meat tries too hard to be meat but this one didn't at all! Rather, it was plain and simply good. The complimentary chips and dip were also amazing. Really great place for an escape from the seafood and meat based restaurants surrounding the Marina. A street away from the other restaurants located on the marina - so have to travel a 3 minute walk out but it's worth it! The food was well done, and the drinks were AMAZING. Definitely worth getting cocktails and drinks with the meal. 4 stars because I think there could have been more Mexican food options like burritos, fajitas, enchiladas. It seems to attract tourists, so would be nice if they have more English menus (they only have 2) and English speaking staff and people who are more knowledgeable about their menus. This place is AMAZING. The food was some of the best food I have ever had! My boyfriend and I are both vegan and luckily we are only staying a short walk down the beach from this restaurant because we've been here twice on our trip already and we want to come back! They have a vegan version of almost everything on their menu if it isn't already vegan and it's all to die for. The vegan cheeses are great, especially on the nachos and on the pizza. The drinks are delicious and specially made. The Hawaiian burger and stuffed potato were my favorite! Seriously this was some of the best food I've had ever, and the staff was SO kind and the atmosphere was everything we wanted for a night out in Mexico. Really good vegetarian restaurant behind the mall just up the street from Breathless. It was almost empty when we got there so I was nervous but the food and the service was great. We got the empanadas and they were so good. We split a BBQ burger and a pizza and I think the veggie burger was better but I liked both quite a bit. I am adding my 5 stars. Even my meat centric carnivore hubby said that the Big Mako was delicious and satisfied his burger craving. The burger is big on a delicious soft bun with a well seasoned lentil patty that they grill on a flattop to give it a nice smoky flavor. All the burger combo's have other delish ingredients like roasted onions, goat cheese, cooked Portobello mushroom, sprouts, etc. Can order as vegetarian or vegan. Choice of either a fresh salad or fresh oven roasted rosemary potato wedges as well. I could only finish 1/2 while hubby snarfed his whole plate down. Pizza from a real wood burning oven start at 3pm. Highly recommend for anyone! read more

I passed this place on the way back to my resort and I am so glad I did. The food was the BEST vegan food I have ever had. It was so fresh, portions were huge, and service was incredible. My husband and I even went the next day and ordered a to-go pizza for lunch the next day. The meals we had included: The Big Vegan burger, Mexican Bowl, Arqui pizza, and another vegan burger that I can't remember the name. Also bottled water is FREE! This place is wonderful! The only regret is not coming here sooner on our trip to Cabo. We went the day before leaving and came back for "seconds" the same day. Had the sweet potato and Asian wrap also the fancy hot dog and brownie- all delicious. We would've ordered everything off the menu if we could! A delicious restaurant for vegetarians, vegans AND meat-eaters (trust me on this one!). They made me a believer, vegetarian and vegan food can be really delicious if you put the right preparation into it. Don't be afraid to try it! They have a legit pizza oven, which is a solid choice.
