She worked on my hair meticulously for an hour and 15 minutes and angled and thinned it absolutely perfectly!!! Best haircut I've ever gotten! One tip for anyone who goes- I should have booked it as a "transformation haircut" because I was changing the look of my hair so much. Where I used to go the color would always stain my forehead (even when she would apply Vaseline or whatever) and the answer I would get was.."that's just the color and can't avoid it", maybe it could just be the brand they use. Anyway, Kara is very careful and I never have stains around my face after she colors. She has a good eye and knows exactly what to do and she LISTENS. My hair was damaged and I didn't really have a good cut so It has been a journey but I have to say that my hair now has a great style for my face and is so healthy. I really feel that she is on this journey with me and I love that. As for the salon, it's very clean, I love the vibe, and the girls at the front desk are polite and helpful.

Since, this salon was just renovated everything's brand new. I like the open air and modern concept. I am now familiar with the parking and directions to get to the building. It was a little tricky at first. But, my favorite part of the salon is my stylist, DK. He is an expert professional and does a precise job with cutting and styling my hair. I love the way my hair looks, feels, and it is really easy to take care of. So, beautiful new salon, my favorite stylist-DK, ... I will see you again in 4 weeks. I was a loyal customer for years and was a barfly member (their subscription program)…read more At first, I had a good experience. My membership got me 1 blow out per month and most of the people who work there were nice and did good work. Once in a while, I got a stylist that took longer than normal - I figured they were new and it wasn't a big deal for me to wait a little longer for them to finish. I was in and out in under an hour. Then came the fees. At first, they informed me any blowout over an hour was an extra $30. I wasn't worried about it at first because my blowouts were always under an hour, but I started to realize my blowouts were less enjoyable. I started watching the clock and being anxious when a stylist was a little slower. About 6 months later, I was informed the policy changed again and anything over 45 minutes was an extra $30. I cancelled my barfly membership on the spot - what was the point of a membership when they tack on fees? It would be $90 plus tip for a blowout. My regular hair stylist charges me $85 for a cut and blow out and she finishes all of that in under an hour. Also, all of these policy changes were always communicated verbally, and sometimes when you were already getting shampooed. I left voicemails (no one picks up the phone when I call) to discuss my concerns but none were ever returned. I feel bad for the stylists (especially new ones). They are dealing with clients that are likely upset with these ever changing policies and fees. All in all, I realized I wasn't getting a great experience from this business anymore and it was time to call it quits.

The service could be better though hence the 3 star review. I liked my hair but no offered be a drink or asked me if I needed anything before having a seat. I originally wanted the Hollywood hair look but because my hair is layered my stylist recommended the Mai-tai instead for me. So I didn't quite get exactly what I wanted but I wasn't disappointed, I essentially just settled. Would only come back if I need a last minute appointment again.
