They remember their customers, take the time to get to know what you're looking for, and somehow seem to know what plants you might like before you even ask. That personal touch makes the experience feel so much more welcoming than just shopping at a typical nursery. Their plants are also priced very fairly compared with other places, which makes it a win-win: great selection, great service, and reasonable prices. This has become one of our favorite local spots, and I always leave happy with what I find.

I also noted a great selection of what will be excellent quality Xmas gifts for next year. Great kitchen knives and big selection of Weber BBQ stuff, for a couple of them. As a small chain of garden centers meets plant nurseries I have to say this location stands out. Their online shop is easy also with get learning materials, newsletters , resources and even a plant library. I'll never forget my first trip here with my friend Sam, definitely need to hit her up again for a plant day, but absolutely still enjoy coming here with others and of course solo for some planty self-care. Adding some Elephant Bush (Portulacaria afra) friends to the plant family at home. Absolutely and 818/SFV/LA Valley favorite among many. You'll want to get lost between the many areas the have here and in the main area as well as their extended open air garden on the parking lot side. Staff here is very personable and extremely knowledgeable. From lawn and outdoor patio furniture or fixtures, fountains, decorations and plant care musts, GTN has a bit of it all. Even fun seasonal items and sales. Entrance in back, where you'll also find their parking lot, fairly spacious, but it can and does fill up on weekends. Restroom available for customers.

Some of the signs for pricing are hard to read, so we had to flag down an employee to help us, but they were happy to help. A good portion of the nursery and store are in the shade, but some of the other plants are outside in the sun so bring your sunscreen! There's a lot to explore. Would be a great place to take the family, or even have a little day date.

You will find that the quality here far exceeds any of the stuff you'll find at a Home Depot is for instance, and in some cases even Lowe's. They deal mostly in ceramic, and clay pottery. I was trying to find some plastic or resin pieces that were durable, and the owner had suggested to try a few other places. He didn't have the inventory, but he was still very friendly in suggesting some other spots to try. I do wish they would carry some thick, resin or plastic pots that are 1/8 to 1/4 in thickness. I'm sure this would be my go-to spot if that were the case. For now, I'm stuck with the big corporate places. In general though, if you're looking for a piece that's going to stand out in your garden, something as a focal point, or conversational piece, I think you'll find that this place might have what you're looking for.
