Wow ! Am I furious or what?…read more So I took a few items to the closet trading company branch in Westlake village for resell. One of them was a new 400$ red leather coat . Some items sold but the pricey leather coat didn't. I kept checking weekly to see the status. Suddenly yesterday the item disappeared off their site and my account. I called today and that's when I was taken aback. According to the sales lady they keep it for three months and then if you don't ask for it in writing at least a week before the three months expire then the item is literally theirs to keep. They don't even send you an e mail or text reminder . Just poof - gone! apparently they put it in small letters as part of their contract when you first consign but never actually tell these details to you in person. They are part of a process that assists people in need. It takes time for people with things to donate to drop them off, and to be told that they are not accepting donations at a given time is a shame and contrary to the mission they represent. I went to Goodwill instead. Super easy, pleasant and nice. Goodwill will get our donations moving forward.
