Came to eat and drink some beer, left without doing either after 20 minutes. I think that says everything. My man had heard from friends and coworkers this is were they go but.... I told my man we can come back n try again for some beer another time. The beer looked cold and refreshing n maybe to watch a football game in the future - huge tv in main bar/dining area. The food that was coming out was not looking appetizing - especially because we were very hungry. First it was all fried and my man wanted a burger... but we never got a menu nor a beer so.... I can only tell you of the food that sat for long periods in the service window getting yucky and then looked yucky as it passed including a couple of baskets of overly fried chicken tenders thin & looked dried out. But the man said he heard it was a cheap place so that explains it more clearly. No thank you not this night. This food would definitely be only edible after some beers and a good game - he isn't picky, but if it's processed pre frozen bar food it has to be decent in his book unless he's drunk. Lol. So we will see next time if I can change this review - but they may want to hire more help first or get the bartender to come on the floor and help out - take some tables - something. read more

Fun, laid back neighborhood bar with some really solid beers on tap, two happy hours, daily specials listed above bar, etc. Taco Tuesday is a hit - hard or soft, chicken or beef. Daily Craft Pint night. Etc, etc. Pool tables. Buck Hunter. Jukebox. Karaoke. Smoking patio. It can get pretty busy depending on day/time but the staff does well to create a fun, safe environment. Drop in, rub elbows with some locals, enjoy the bartenders (Jay, Shadow, etc) and unwind over a choice grilled cheese sandwich whilst slurping down some ice cold pints. read more

First things first - noise level isn't loud, it's INSANE. Like shriek at your companion loud just to be heard. I know bars aren't meant to be quiet, but it was really, really re-donk loud and that's not OK in my book. Other than that, a good local bar. We went on a Saturday night and while the place was indeed hopping, we were able to get beers at the bar & at our table in a quick manner. Plus they have Jello shots and I am a sucker for a jello shot or two (but not three, no no, we have learned!!!). Also like the beer selection! They seem to have pretty good nightly specials, though seemed to mostly be liquor if I'm thinking right. I did like the music selection - just turned it down a bit!! Short and sweet. This place is average. Don't get me wrong, I love me some dive bars...but this place is alright....just alright. Malone's is hit or miss. Have been here several times as I live in the area. Can get rather crowded on the weekends - good luck trying to get a pool table unless you come early. The drinks are so-so. Every now and again you'll get a decent pour from the bartender. Service so-so. It's either decent or super slow. Food so-so. It's a bar, what do you expect. The wings and nachos aren't bad. Attending the MLS championship as a fan of the "other" team, the waitstaff and the owner was extremely rude to us. The waitstaff completely ignored us the entire time we were there and the owner, after the game was well over, reprimanded us for cheering for our team. If you want to own a sports bar and your team loses, be a man about it and take the cheering. Edit: The liar of the owner responds to the yelp review. We never said any obscenities. There is one server for every table inside and outside. Bless her heart. The food is mediocre, and the bartender is not friendly. The actual worst part is that every, single time we go, there is a guy with a bucket of Budweiser, smoking cigars CONSTANTLY on the patio. CONSTANTLY! So we've driven by here for years, and finally stopped by. The only thing I'm upset about is that we waited so long. Peanut shells on the floor, and a solid pub/sports bar feel. Customer service is great, and the staff was friendly. I ordered the Philly Cheese Steak and my wife ordered the fish and chips. The sandwich was the size of a Volkswagen, as was the portions of fish and chips. Both were excellent, as we're the fries (which I barely made a dent in after the sandwich was gone). I think this will be added to our list of regular spots from now on. Great job guys! read more

Walked a mile and a half from my hote this Friday night bc reviews said it has karaoke. Walked in after being id (I'm 51, maybe ageism played a part. Totally ignored after doing a lap around and stopping at various areas looking thirsty &, then back to bar. Ignored again. . . so I went to other end of bar, waitress said I have to order back where I was. Went back to said area, both bartenders and barback went AWOL. After another five minutes with no drink and no karaoke as advertised (both Yelp and Google said it would be there, to no avail), I took off to better pastures. And that would and could have been anywhere with at least a modicum of customer service. . . :-( read more

Went here to try a local favorite. The atmosphere is a bit loud, but you can tell that everything is a bit worn. I guess I just don't go to that many sports bars to dine, and perhaps this is why. I ordered the buffalo chicken salad which was pretty good, although everything seemed really heavy for a salad. It didn't really impress me. There were some cheap breakfast options that may have been better. There was nothing wrong with this place, but it's just somewhere that I probably wouldn't want to come regularly. read more

This is our local watering hole and one of the best I might add. Whenever we want to watch any sports, we come here. We know all the staff here that are so friendly and wonderful and always keep us coming back for me. No nonsense here, you will get taken care of and you will also most likely find a new friend or two. Nothing special. Just your regular neighborhood dive bar (a bit cleaner and classier than your regular dive and an octave higher than applebee's and redrobin's). The beers and cocktails are ok. Nothing fancy but they have my red stripe which is good. read more

Well it's a 'peanut shells on the ground' pub, but it's not a bad one at that. It's a hop, skip and jump away from our house so that's a plus. There's good local beer on tap & pitchers are still a good deal. Service is prompt, and they even check on you at the tables which seems a-typical for bars in this area - or anywhere. Music can get kind of loud (I know, I am old) but it's fun in DJ nights. I wasn't even aware this place existed even though I drive by it multiple times each week. My friend likes this place so I came by for happy hour. It was a nice surprise to see that they have quite a large selection of snack foods along with several drinks for their happy hour menu. We love Malone's and all of the servers! We discovered this spot about 6 months upon moving out here, and it's become one of our favorite places. I really liked this place - I got a baked potato which came with a salad (for only $6!!). I asked for several things to be customized (sour cream on the side with an extra side of BBQ sauce) and my husband placed a kind of difficult order too. I worried that our waitress wouldn't be able to remember everything because she did not write it down, but she nailed it. The food was good, the service was quick and gracious, autmosphere was comfortable and the prices were great. Malones left us with nothing to complain about. read more

THIS BAR IS RACIST!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i came here with a group of my girl friends and my boyfriend joined us about 30 minutes later. he ordered ONE drink and we each ordered 3. our waitress Shannon then came up to us to tell us that he was cut off.. and would not even give us a reason. she was completely disrespectful and laughed at us when we asked for an explanation. it is so upsetting to me that he was treated in this way in a bar we usually love to go to. Malone's is my home away from home! The service has always been great every time I go. The bartenders are friendly and the drinks are good, and reasonably priced. There are some pool tables and a jukebox, and it's a fun place to go hang out with your friends. Oh, and the onion rings are amazing!! read more

The food is still awesome but tonight I waited 15 minutes for my first drink, the waitress took my food order 10 minutes later. Then 25 minutes later my food arrived. Other customers who came in several minutes after me were already eating who I still waited for my food. The waitress simply said thanks for waiting. Hopefully this was jus a fluke. read more

We went here on 3/7/15, not even a week after I turned 21. It was my girlfriends birthday and we invited around 20ish people to come out and celebrate with us. The floor is very slippery. There are peanut shells on the ground and it is sometimes hard to navigate through the people and crowds. The bartender was great, I ordered a Tic Tack to start off, it was delicious. On Saturday they have a special on Yum-Yums, Tic Tacks, and Mimosas- all for $5 each. Not too shabby. The Tick Tack was delicious, it kind of tasted like a Starburst, just less sweet. I then ordered an Omission beer, a dirty martini, and a gin and tonic. I REALLY wish I would have ordered some food, the menu looks appetizing and very generously priced. We did Karaoke because my best friend is very adamant about everybody participating in karaoke. I was a bit tipsy, so who was I to put up a fight? I had a great experience up until this part. I thought that having 20+ people around would be enough to keep an eye on my stuff. I had my backpack, I just left my coat inside to step out and smoke. When I came back, my coat was gone. This wasn't just a cheap, easily replaceable coat, It cost $150 and I don't just have the extra money to replace it. I did call the next day (and the day after) to see if I had left it behind or if anyone had taken it home by mistake and returned it, but no luck. I was very impressed with the menu, the atmosphere, and the friendliness of the staff. I was very disappointed in the lack of care that I got from whoever answered my calls. They told me that it happens quite a bit and that they can't do anything. One person refused o take my name and number down with a brief description of the jacket (long, XS, black women's Columbia jacket with flattened pennies in the pocket.) Easily identifiable, but she wouldn't write it down because "it had been a day, and the likelihood of seeing it was rare." I understand, but I still would still like them to listen to me and understand my frustration. Overall, it was a good experience, I will return, I'm sure. read more

What happened to the service? It used to be attentive and happy also why isn't there a beer menu brought to the table with a menu? With all the other competition popping up all around he Hillsboro area it would be nice if this sports bar would set themselves apart from everyone else. When I get my beer I want it set on a coaster or a napkin so it doesn't drip all over the place and so I don't stick my elbow in a beery mess. I would also like to look thru a beer list instead of having to walk up to the bar from my seat to see what they have or get attitude from my server when I ask. Needs improvement. I am leaving this place now after having had waited around 15/20 minutes and gotten no service or even acknowledgment from any of the staff. Honestly not even sure if there is any waiters that work there on Sunday evenings. If there are suppose to have some they blended in and were too busy hanging out with their friends than to do their job. Only reason I got a menu is because we took one from a different empty table. I say "empty" because no one was sitting there but there were at least 10 tables that were empty but hadn't been cleared or cleaned off. Maybe this is a good bar to watch a game ,Idk but I do know for someone wanting to go to a pub to eat, drink, play pool and enjoy a good environment this is not the place to go to. Malones for breakfast is not as good as Malones at night, Service is very slow for breakfast. In the evening, it is packed with your local surbanites who are dressed to impress but didn't make it past 185th. Be careful of the peanut shells on the floor. It can be a tad slippery. There is an outdoor patio and pool tables. Lots of tables to handle groups of people or if you want to have one-on-one time and there are plenty of TVs for your viewing pleasure. Not that this review will matter to people checking them because it's strictly a customer service issue but I know how much a bad review can impact a business on Yelp. We just moved here and we were driving over and decided to call to see if they were on a wait because it's a big fight night and a Saturday night as well. My boyfriend calls the hostess to see if they were on a wait and went on to say "we don't accept anyone who is underage so you'll have to wait out side anyways. My boyfriend then goes on to say he was 30 then got so offended that he hung up. Blatant stereotyping after hearing someones VOICE?! Here's the better part- I call back and talk to a guy who sounded like a manager, he said she had told him what happened and blah blah blah and kept interrupting me every time I would talk. Your hostess was completely rude and disrespectful so when someone calls back to say what actually happened you say your sorry not talk over the customer. My boyfriend literally begged me not to call and say anything and tried to make it sound like it was no big deal but when you hang up on someone, I want to know- so I guess I'm a protective person. The owner came to my table and asked me to quite down because I was cheering for my team (Atlanta United) to loud. Really!?! Is this not a sports bar? Is that not the point? Ya'll in the PNW are some Snowflake little babies! Life is conflict! I'm sorry - but I'm just not into that place. It's pretty loud on the weekends. Nothing unusual about the prices, it's just crowded and I don't understand the whole peanut thing with all the crushed shells on the floor. I find it awkward that the pool tables are located in the main room and not out of the way in a side room - as traffic is crossing into it all the time. I like that they have outdoor seating available with smoking. I've also been here for breakfast and was not impressed, and would likely not come back for that. I also find a lot of people come here dressed like they're going to a club, or a bar in downtown Portland. No, just no. This is a local suburb bar, on the outskirts of the suburb at that. Let's be honest about where you are. It's not really a bad bar, I'm just not into it - I only come here when my friends have a get-together here because it tends to be more centrally located for this group which is split between Beaverton and Hillsboro.They also love it, and have relationships with the service. This bar gets its third star because the servers and Karaoke Jockeys are nice, and friendly. The bartenders sometimes may take a bit to get to you - but recognize how many patrons versus staff are there and that'll explain most of it. read more
