.5 stars each for the pepperoni rolls and beer selection. That's it. Our party of four visited today (Saturday) at 2pm and it quickly became quite obvious they were very short handed. We saw two servers, which one was also the bartender. We sat in the almost empty bar area and the restaurant only had a few tables with people. When the food came out there were only three meals. We were told that the fourth would be right out. It did not come right out. The fish and chips did not come with tartar sauce or ketchup and the chips were not fully cooked. The chicken bacon mac was missing the chicken and the bread crumbs and was mildly warm. When the fourth item (chicken caprese sandwich) finally came out, it was pretty cold also. The pepperoni rolls came out hot so apparently we should have all ordered those. The bartender offered us a discount which turned out to be $10 off our next visit. The fish dish and caprese sandwich were not eaten so we requested those be taken off the check. We heard the bartender telling another table that something would be removed from their check so it definitely wasn't just us. I'll start off with the service....Korynn was behind the bar on this Friday..her service was remarkable! Every body that stopped by was treated with service that was above and beyond, myself included. I didn't want to leave with the service I saw her give everyone. So many people but she gave everyone her full attention which is like finding a unicorn of how rare that is. I ordered the Italian nachos and they did not disappoint. The food was a pleasant surprise. Usually, this order comes with half of it looking burnt and the other half looking like it needed more time, not this one. It came out picture perfect (as you'll see in my picture) I could feel my eyelids pop up with how shocked I was to see the perfect order of Italian nachos. As far as the ambiance is concerned, it's exactly what you want when visiting an Old Chicago. There was music on the speakers and sports on the tvs. Do yourself a favor and visit this location, it's the only Old Chicago within a two state radius. Great selection of beer. Surely there is something you'll enjoy, from their house beer to their other stuff. If I could give this OC more stars, I would. I live in California but this makes me consider moving to Oregon. Overpriced, Horrible pizza. I had it delivered, looked like somebody played frisbee with the pizza box. There restraunt wouldn't replace.

We went to get pizza and I got a small one. The food was fine, but overpriced for what it was. The service was not good unfortunately. It took 30 minutes for them to take our order even though place was practically empty. It was $18 for my husband's pizza, and 8 bucks for his modelo beer..... The restaurant was pretty clean. The servers were kind but we didn't feel appreciated as customers because of the wait time. Wouldn't come here again unfortunately. read more

Just celebrated hubs borthday with his favorite meat me pizza. It's been about a year since visiting so we were excited to see the changes. The meat on the pizza was much better including the sausage, pepperoni and andouille. Cheese was better. Sauce was better! Yay! But, the thick crust is still lacking buttery flavor and crispy texture with lightness on the inside. Mgmt: Go and try Von Eberts detroit style crust, you'll have a solid goal to shoot for. The pizza needs to be light enough that you want to eat 2, 3, 4 slices or more but crisp enough to give you great texture w each bite. Our server was excellent and realky fast :). Good dark beer (cocoa porter).....keep up the good selection of the crafts! We are hoping to come back and revisit the chicken wings and maybe try some newer offerings on the menu. read more

I have gone to Old Chicago many times over the years and have always loved it. However, today, I was super grateful for my server, Korynn, who may have only been there for a month, but was such a joy and so helpful! She was on top of everything, super fun to talk to, and if she didn't know the answer to a question I had, instead of faking an answer, she would honestly say "I don't know, but let me go find out!" She had such a genuine energy and wanted to make sure that my mom and I had the best experience possible. The kitchen staff is incredible too because I asked for crispy onions on my side salad, plus shredded cheese, and it was SO good! Plus, I asked for a side of extra alfredo sauce for my pesto alfredo pasta and they brought that out with no issue. All of the food was hot, fresh, and incredibly delicious. At the end of our meal, we asked to speak to the manager (and I made sure to tell Korynn that it was good, not bad, so she didn't worry haha) and the gentleman whose name I didn't catch who was the MOD was also kind, attentive, and appreciative of the good feedback on his staff. Went here with some family and got the crafted beer burger and it was superb! It was juicy, crispy and full of flavor. The beer cheese sauce on the patty was delicious! Our server was fantastic, and overall we had a really great time. The buffalo wings were great too! I got the butter garlic broccoli on the side and it was like a bunch of broccoli in a bowl of melted butter. Wasn't a huge fan of that, that wasn't very good. Wayyyyyy to much better to be enjoyable. I've come here for 7 years. In that time I've seen the menu change. I was super disappointed when the discontinued the oh my spaghetti pie. No more cheese curds, or garlic fries. They still have the pepperoni rolls and Italian nachos. What really gets me is the change to the cheesy garlic bread. It used to be sliced horizontally, then in strip. Now it's in rounds, and thin at that. It completely changes the experience. They also discontinued their game day events. I'm disappointed with the direction they are going in. If you're looking for a Sports diner there are a number in the area that I would rather recommend. Truly very little could have redeemed our visit. First impressions are generally poor. The front desk staff are pretty indifferent on new customers and we noticed several interactions through out our visit that were questionable. Including mixing up online orders and ignoring new customers. Our waitress was new and although she was very sweet I think there could've been steps taken to improve our visit. That being said we were the most disappointed by the food. Honestly they could not have tried any less for their presentation. Firstly the Roasted Cauliflower appetizers... I will preface this that we misread this and thought it would be fried which certainly did not help our disappointment. However there is truly nothing special here. You would achieve similar or ever better results at home. My wife got their Chicago 7 calzone while I had their hungover burger. If I'm being brutally honest, you could get a larger and tastier calzone at the Winco down the street for half the price. As for the burger, I had asked for a medium rare as I read in another review that they tend to be dryer. Unfortunately this did not change anything. The patty is incredibly dry. Waited 30 minutes for personal pizzas, part of their lunch special. Apparently the ticket didn't get to the kitchen until we asked, "So, like, where's that food we had been planning on eating?" By the time we got said pizzas, they were burnt on top. I think because they'd taken so long to get the order right, they rushed cooking it. Our server was the bartender, who shouldn't have been waiting tables if he didn't have the time. We didn't see him once while we were waiting there, wondering what was going on. We asked the hostess for a manager. The hostess asked, "Why?" in an aggressive, what the hell are you going to tell the manager, kind of way. Why? Because the place you work for is actively turning two customers into enemies of pizza. Helpful tip: When someone in your restaurant asks for the manager, just get the manager. Things have already gotten out of hand to the point that you asking, "WHY!?!" is not going to diffuse the situation. Schmuck. Finally got the manager, who said she would take care of the check. Weirdly, we were only charged for the pizza toppings, (?) and nothing else. So it was taken care of in a way. That the bill showed we were going to be charged full price blew my mind - until I realized, by the time the ticket finally got through, the time for the lunch special had passed. So that's a cost I was going to have to eat as well, because our server couldn't look at his watch. I am so looking forward to never going here again. I feel like the rest of my life is now going to go so much smoother, knowing I will never sit in their booths, blood boiling, watching people not doing their jobs. Yay me! read more

My best friend and I have been coming to this restaurant for years and last night we received the absolute worst service we have ever received at any restaurant. Our food took an hour and a half to arrive, there were less than 20 people in the business. We had no communication from our server at all. We were not even asked if our food was good or met our expectations. Our server Travis even went to the point of trying to avoid getting a bad survey for terrible service that he filled out my survey for me when I was paying on their pin pad. We were never even asked if we wanted a second drink, even though our beers were empty and we didn't even have our food yet. when the food was brought to us one of our items was brought before the other one and we were told that they had accidentally made dipping sticks instead of a pizza without even a courteous apology, we were just told they were remaking. The food was incorrect and burned. My friend and I were so hungry and have been such a loyal customers at this point that we just ate our food and wanted to pay and leave. We were truthfully treated like crap, and there was not even an apology given for the fact that our food took over an hour and a half. I know there was a table next to us with about five loud people that must've been tipping really well or know the owners or personal friends of the server. Our server was at the table next to us every two minutes, but only checked on us three times over a two hour Period was the total time we were at the restaurant. I had also ordered some food to go, and when the food was brought to me, it was tossed on the table. The server completely turned their back to me and didn't even say have a good night. I was so flabbergasted by all of this behavior and level of terrible service that I couldn't say anything to the manager otherwise I would've crashed out. Plus, I saw the general manager with the same behavior. At one point, he walked up to our table to take one of our empty beer bottles away did not even say hello and did not offer another drink. When I lived in Oregon Old Chicago was one of my "go-tos" with family when they visited, post football game dinner, casual date night etc.. I always came specifically for the spaghetti pie! Last month, my boyfriend and I visited Oregon and I wanted to show him some of my favorite spots since he's never been to Oregon before. I decided to take him to Old Chicago for a late lunch. We looked around and though there were guests already seated, it was not overwhelming or busy at all. We probably stood waiting for about 3-5 minutes before someone finally acknowledged us. When we were finally greeted the host was not rude, but not really friendly either- just OK. We were seated and shortly after were greeted by our server, can't remember her name, but she was very friendly and attentive- she short, black hair with tattoos. She handed us our menus and allowed us to look over the menu while my boyfriend sipped on some beer. When ordering, I was so bummed to learn that they have stopped serving the spaghetti pie! My fav and the only reason I came! lol. I decided to try the chicken carbonara and my boyfriend order the twisted tenders with twisted sauce and free range ranch sauce. Wait time for food didn't take long at all. The carbonara was good, but not the best I'd ever had so I can't say that its really a memorable dish for me. However, I did try a piece of my boyfriend's tenders and it was delicious! The chicken itself was moist, skin was crispy and it tasted even better with the twisted sauce. I think I can say that it was close to the best I've ever had. The restaurant itself is open with different type seating to accommodate small and large parties. They have several large TVs up to run sporting games for guests to enjoy alongside their meals. I believe their calzones and their pizza are more of their popular items, I've never had so I can't speak on them, but they look pretty good. They also serve, salads, wings, burgers & fries, and appetizers like, cheesy garlic bread, spinach and artichoke dip, pretzel sticks, and Italian nachos. We thought it'd be faster. SMH. Old Chicago is open late and you can get it delivered. I got a chicken carbonara thing and we shared cheesey bread and my ex got chicken parm. I didn't even take pictures ( I was too busy pulling the seedy , I can't have those grape tomatoes, out of my spaghetti). My food was ok. The ex was fine with his chicken but surprised there were two flat pieces of breaded chicken stacked on top of one another and only the top piece got cheesed and sauced. Kinda odd. But it came fast, it was still hot, it was not that expensive AND it was adequate. Too salty, a little off ( tomatoes in carbonara?) , which has been my thought the 2 or 3 times we have eaten there over 15 years, but ok. I would not go out of my way for it. 2.75. We were looking for a pizza place close to our hotel room that was dog-friendly. After driving by and seeing some nice covered seating in the shade, we decided to eat here. We ordered some appetizers that took about 20 minutes to come out, and they were very tasty. The chicken wings (boneless and bone-in) were flavorable and reasonably priced. Since we were the only ones sitting outside, the service wasn't very fast to order the regular food and refill drinks and the yellow jackets were a nuisance, but it was great to be able to sit with our pups. The Chicago 7 pizza that we ordered was tasty with the regular crust, but it wasn't any different than the thin crust that was actually burnt (we got one of each). The mango beer was very good, too. One son got a personal pan pizza that he absolutely loved (onion, sausage, beef, roasted garlic, Parmesan), and the other son ordered lasagna that they forgot to put in. We ordered the salami bites which were mostly bread and very little cheese and salami. The place was understaffed and we tried to be very patient about that. When our pizza came that we had ordered it was rolled out round one it's normally square and had very few toppings it just seems like they raise their prices and cut back on the actual ingredients they put on theirAppetizers and meals. We asked for the provolone sticks and they were still on the menu but said they were probably going to be discontinued. So take them off right? Haven't been here for a while. Really busy on a Friday night. We ordered within 5 minutes of being seated. A calzone, a burger, and some boneless wings. After about 20 minutes I asked about the wings, she apologized and assumed we wanted them with our main course. At the 35 minute mark she brought us the boneless wings and apologize for it being so busy. They were good, no complaints. About 10 minutes later our food came. The calzone looked great. My burger looked good, but dry. I asked the manager for some mustard and mayo for it. That took a while as well. He didn't get it, he asked our server to get it for me. Without adding them this burger would have been exceptionally dry. There was supposed to be a cheese sauce on it, and I literally only had one bite with it. Wondering why they were skimping and why the manager didn't notice. The plus side of the burger, the burger meat itself was exceptional and tasted like ground steak. I would get it again and ask for extra cheese sauce with it. My wife loved her calzone and I had a bite. It was really good. The reason for 3 stars instead of lower, our server was really nice and didn't ignore us when things didn't go right. We really appreciated that. I'll start by saying the pizza was just average. Not knock your socks off pizza but it satisfied our pizza craving and saved me from cooking, plus we got to watch hockey while we dined. We started with the chorizo cheese dip. The chip to dip ratio was way off. The dip was tasty but it was a very shallow dish , an optical illusion if you will. We literally had half the chips if not more to eat plain. The menu has a lot of things to choose from. I tried the stuffed manicotti last visit and Irish nachos which were limited time only in March. They have a fun tour menu and a frequent diner club so it inspires you to dine more and receive discounts. They do have a huge beer selection and cocktail choices. They have a very limited dessert menu which was kind of disappointing. All in all when I don't feel like cooking I may or may not choose this place again. Great experience! Incredible service, atmosphere, and food! We ordered a small fry, a tall wing, and a 9in pizza and between my wife and I it was great amounts of food! The service was some of the best we've had and since COVID it's a hard thing to come by. The pizza thin crust was soooo crispy and 10/10. Wings we ordered extra crispy and they did not disappoint. Fries were perfectly salted and you can't forget that their soda was crisp . I see complaints about the price and the wait time, and while the wait was average I think that translates to quality. Don't expect freshness to be immediate, quality takes a second. Price was incredibly reasonable and again your paying for quality. If you want to cheap shit go to apple bees or someplace else. I have been coming to Old Chicago's for 30 years. This specific location for 20 years. I even have a fancy mug and my name up on the "Wall of Foam" multiple times.Over that time the business has changed a lot. Most of the changes I've taken in stride as they made sense. This most recent round of changes has turned me away. The menu, other than pizza, has suffered from shrinkflation. Most recently they took the keg of wings off the menu and taken off some great dressings and sauces. The relatively recent return of nachos to the menu has been massively disappointing. Their nachos used to feed a table and were loaded with toppings. These reimagined nachos are served in a pizza pan, are basically a single layer of chips and have very little toppings on them. The cheese sauce is too thick and gloppy. The meat... chicken was dry, the beef was ground beef that has sprinkled on but no flavor. The beer selection, once the envy of any bar in the area, has now largely gone to the big breweries. What limited selection they have on their rotator list is not daring and not anything that I can't find at the local bottle shop for half the price. Service... Honestly the service was one of the main reasons that I would drive the 25 minutes to get there. The staff for the most part are friendly and honest, but the last several times that I've visited there have been multiple errors in our orders and in the billing. While I still like the general atmosphere of OC over that of the yellow and black wing chain, the feel of the restaurant has gotten a bit sterile. With all of this said, I likely won't be returning unless it's just for the pizza. Their pizza is very good but there are better pizza joints around. read more

The reason we went there was for the skillet cookie and when it arrived - it was cold and not chewy. In all - it was a 2.5 hour experience for cold food. Very disappointing. Not sure I will return.
