I highly recommend Malone's Prime Events in Lexington for any corporate or private event. We held my mom's 90th surprise birthday party there and had access to the bar area, space around the fireplace and a separate private room seated for 28 people. From start to finish I found them to be very professional and accommodating. Sofia Gipson was the booking manager that I worked with. Based on such a positive experience, I plan to utilize them again for work-related events in the future.

Came here for a holiday party and was not disappointed! They have a buffet with steak, salmon, chicken, mashed potatoes and other vegetable options. In addition they have a salad bar, sushi and peel-n-eat shrimp. Service is always excellent and the food is delicious. They even have a chocolate fountain! I don't know what kind of coffee they serve but it is always so good (I usually add creamer to my coffee but this was excellent black). Would love to see some of Malone's bread as an option for the table instead of the rolls though.

Our company has came here for several years for our Holiday Party. The table settings were beautiful, the staff was friendly and it was an all around great experience. The food was served buffet style. There were selections of filet medallions, salmon, turkey and chicken tenders. Also, side selections included Malone's famous garlic truffle mashed potatoes and their mac and cheese. All the food was delicious. A sushi station, salad bar and dessert bar were included as well. If your company is having a party or awards ceremony, I recommend Malone's Prime!

This being my first experience with Malone's Prime Event center I was not really impressed. My reservation was for 10 A.M. They didn't even have the food out until 10:15 or so which is good for them since a lot of the people had not arrived yet and 10:00. Some of the food that was out was not warm all. The Steaks were cold, as well as the quiche and the eggs benedict. I know everything was precooked because it was a buffet but they should be at an acceptable temperature upon serving and not relying on the chafing dish to warm them up. They did take the tray back and brought out new after realizing they were cold. Upon setting new tray a person who I believe to be the manager took a plastic gloved hand and squeezed each and every steak checking the temperature to see if they were warm. This should be done in the back if your going to do it like this or better yet with a food grade temperature probe not with a gloved hand. I felt like I was watching a testicle hernia screening. The Aqua sushi was well below par for sushi options and quality. They also did not have any small dishes for the soy sauce or wasabi. The assorted deserts were just blah and the rest lackluster all except for the brownies which were really very good. As far as service my server got a little snippy with me a couple of times right up front which I didn't appreciate. Once explaining to me that half/half tea wasn't an exact science when asked about my drink and I explained it was a little too sweet. I had explained up front that I wanted unsweet with a very tiny bit of sweet not the half/half as exclaimed. Overall my server was attentive but did seem to ween themselves off toward the end of the meal as if to say, "okay you're done done now, move along!" or in classic Seinfeld "No Drinks For You!" I say this because I asked for a drink and was asked if I wanted it to go as if I didn't have time to drink it at the table. All in all my experience was just okay and that reason I'm leaving 3 stars. I would usually expect more from this establishment for the occasion as such and for the money. As always hire experience may vary.

Our company has held their annual Christmas buffet lunch here for the past four years, even before it was the new Prime event space. I love all of the BHG restaurants especially Malone's, but feel the quality of the food on the buffet here has gone down from past years. The items offered remain exactly the same each year with no variety, same salad, desserts, etc. each time. My filet was rather dry and the quality of the items wasn't what you'd associate with a normal dinner from Malone's . The items offered include the Lexingtonian salad (always delicious), basic sushi rolls, peel and eat shrimp, steak, chicken fingers, salmon, broccoli, and roasted vegetables. They did keep replenishing the main dish items but I went back for more sushi & there was none left. There is always a chocolate fondue fountain and a white chocolate mousse (which is VERY sweet). We had our lunch as the same time as another company and both shared the food on the buffet which is setup in the OBC space. The service is excellent and the servers were very friendly to us and quick to clear our plates to go back to the buffet. The space is convenient for hosting large parties, but it would be nice to see some new and more inventive food options and more of the consistent quality I expect when dining at Malone's.

Amazing prime rib, accompanied by some irrelevant vegetation. Seriously, this steak.

Now for the wines! I must say I liked every wine I tried. I especially enjoyed a states berry basil wine and a mango wine. They are absolutely perfect for summer and non of the wines are overly sweet which is appreciated. So much all you taste is what was added vs the wine. We chose the MoM for a few reasons: it was close to our ceremony site, provided parking for guests that we could pay for (for a reasonable cost), on-site catering by Dupree, ability to seat our amount of guests, but mainly for the AMAZING skyline view of Lexington as the venue is on the top floor of the Chase building. Mike and I worked with their coordinator Heather, who was wonderful and so helpful throughout the planning process. She is a busy lady, but would always respond back to emails/phone calls whenever she could. We met with her ~5x before the wedding to plan, brainstorm ideas, and review details. She gave a few options for the layout of the reception and how things would "flow" but I deferred to her judgment as I thought she would know what would be the optimal way. For selecting our menu, we had so many options. We decided to do a buffet-style dinner so people could have more choice over their meal. It was honestly so hard to decide on dinner choices because everything sounded delicious. We did a beef tenderloin and chicken meat option, roasted broccolini and smashed potatoes with the sweet potato kale salad- ALL delish. We are still having people tell us how good the food was! The event thanks to Heather and our day-of-coordinator went off without a hitch! I highly recommend the venue as an event space- particularly for wedding receptions!

The view from the top is exhilarating. I am not sure if there are any other places in Lexington which offers a sky view of the city. We had a open bar, and they had pretty decent drinks. The appetizers were good. I didn't have much as I was saving my hunger for the main course. But I heard from my colleagues that the appetizers were equally good as the main course. We were offered 4 main courses and asked to pick one beforehand. 1. Grilled Sirloin with Red Wine Horseradish and Chive Butter, crispy garlic marbled potatoes, seasonal roasted veggies, yeast rolls, mixed green salad 2. Garlic lavender and wine glazed chicken, wild mushroom gnocchi, shaved brussels sprouts, yeast rolls, mixed green salad 3. Bourbon and cider glazed salmon, herb rice pilaf, lemon roasted asparagus, yeast rolls, mixed green salad 4. Vegetarian: Grilled ratatouille napoleon, crispy garlic marbled potatoes, seasonal roasted veggies, yeast rolls, mixed green salad I picked Salmon for myself and Vegetarian for my +1. The salmon was amazing. The herb rice pilaf was yummy. Most of my colleagues from my table had the Grilled Sirloin. It looked good and they said good things about it. The main course was supplemented with some good desserts. This is one of the best places I have been recently and I am surprised how very few people in Lexington have heard about this place. This would be a best place for an OYE (Official Yelp Event) so that more Yelpers can yelp about this place and spread the word.

We booked it for both a corporate event for our California business and also a personal party in 2015 to entertain friends within a one hour flight from Chicago. I was referred to it by a guy in New York who was looking for a place to entertain two sets of clients, one in in Lexington and one in Louisville, at a central location around the Oaks and to do the Bourbon trail one day. It is a midpoint location part way between. They have a unique high ceiling apartment rental next door that I think you can rent in conjunction with the event space. The unit is huge. I stayed one day while I was siting my party weekend. That makes for a great place for the wedding party say or to entertain the most important clients at your event. Both the space and the loft are very unique and have a much younger/modern vibe compared to the traditional decor and architecture for this town. There is a good Mexican restaurant next door. I really liked the open layout, you could decorate it however you liked if you wanted to do a theme, but it also looks great with the minimalist shop lights and functional sliding warehouse-style door. I don't want to quote prices because it probably depends but I was surprised how reasonable it was, talk to them yourself... The primary drawbacks as I see it is there is nothing else to rent like this within 20 miles, so I probably will have to rent it several years in advance and I tend to have a hard time planning work events too far in advance so it may be booked before my 16 and 17 event is planned. I talked to Kevin, who was very informative and down to earth. I met with an owner there also who happened to be dropping by to weigh in on some details. He is a broker in this town and said he did this as a creative outlet (enjoys rehabbing historic properties) and to increase the demand for permanent housing nearby as he is an investor, so that is how he can justify to rent it out at what I calc'd to be below-market rates for this type of space. If you like modern style, high ceilings and flexible space with a nod to the past and walkability to nearby goods and services(huge factor for us) is a big consideration for you, this is your thing. Check it out for yourself ... I think you will agree with what I am saying though- the place is sharp and this town had needed something like it for a long time. Look forward to many events here.

I brought my daughter here a few weeks ago to see the butterflies after remembering that my son enjoyed them when he was her age. At the time my son was here (years ago), the admission was free. However, it's now $10 per person. I was a bit daunted by this because I thought $10 just to see the little butterfly greenhouse garden was a bit much... .... then after we exited the garden, we stumbled across an amazing children's outdoor play garden! I did not recall seeing this place before and my daughter was absolutely delighted! We loved it so much that we left to go pick up my son and bring him back the same day. They both spent hours playing in the dirt, with the toy food, climbing the structures, making a water fountain, playing in the tent, and so forth. Definitely worth the $10 per person for them to have that experience. We were also blown away by the fun selection of decor and children's garden toys and accessories inside the shop.
