I do like the food. However, when they are busy and overbooked, they don't really make up for it. Also, we tried to use our gift certificates purchased for a charity event they were part of, and because it was a month out of date, we were denied. That's fair, I suppose. But combined with the lack of customer service when we were waiting in the stairwell, getting in everybody's way, it all left me feeling like an afterthought and not a valued customer. I had a reservation for 7 for my wedding anniversary and was not sat until almost 7:20 which was a bummer but at least we got good seats: right next to their wine room and close to the bathroom but away from the crowds. I had placed a request on the reservation asking for dessert with a note, if possible, to surprise my husband and as we sat down my husband passed me a note with my name and my "surprise" request on the note... so I just shook my head as it was no surprise anymore. On that note it also mentioned "anniversary". We handed the note to our waiter as he asked for it, read it, and still asked if we were celebrating anything special?... I was confused as the note had the details but nonetheless we explained and he replied with we basically do not take those requests. Fine, I get it. The experience was perfect as usual; we had no issues with our food or service afterwards. The location is modern and a lot fancier than other locations we've been to so I was happy about that. The parking can be hectic and stressful, especially on weekends, so please plan ahead as they have a grace period. My last point is that I was sent a coupon but unfortunately they do not accept those on Saturday or holidays which was a bummer but definitely an error on my end. This was our first time here and although we have been to various places similar to this one we were excited to try it out. Also it was quite a bit less than the other places we have been too. We made reservations for dinner service prior to arriving. The entire restaurant was beautiful and set up with the glassware. It was very quaint and welcoming. The hostess was absolutely amazing! Very kind! We got to our table and the server introduced himself got us our drinks and explained the service process. All of the servers coming by with meats were awesome! They even ensured my toddler had small pieces of meat too! They didn't leave my kids out of the experience which is a huge plus for me. They asked my husband what his favorite cuts were and they made sure he had them constantly! He never once had to wait which was impressive. I had the salad bar which had an amazing layout and great options of hot and cold foods. I enjoyed all the fresh vegetables, the charcuterie items and the cheesy bread! Absolutely delicious! We truly had a great experience. Overall all staff members were so kind and the food was amazing! My husband and kids loved all the cuts of meats, shrimp and poultry! They are not huge on lamb so we didn't ask for that but overall just a great all in all experience! Overall a pricier place to eat. Yesterday we visited this restaurant with a group of girls to celebrate a family member's birthday. Overall, the experience was good, especially thanks to our waitress, who was very kind, attentive, and helpful throughout the evening. However, there are a few things I would like to mention as constructive criticism so the service can improve: 1. One of the young men serving the meat would say things like "You want more?" instead of addressing customers more politely, such as "Would you ladies like more?" I understand that in English this may not sound as noticeable, but for us as Latinas, the way he spoke came across as more disrespectful and lacking manners. It may seem like a small detail, but the way employees speak to customers also reflects the quality of service and professionalism. 2. The same employee was wearing an extremely strong amount of cologne. The smell was so overpowering that it could even be noticed while he was serving the food. Since employees work directly around food, I believe this is something that should be handled more carefully. 3. At the end of the night, we brought a cake for the birthday celebration. Another employee approached us holding a plate and said, "I came for a piece of cake." The way it was said came across as a bit disrespectful or overly confident. I think it would have been more appropriate to politely ask if he could have a slice instead of assuming it. Met coworkers for dinner and I arrive late getting there after seven... They all said that everything was good... I must say I enjoyed the lobster bisque, even though there was no lobster and I was very disappointed in the meats they served... They were all overcooked and tough... Their meat selection is above average to the competition, though they raise some of their prices on premium meats post covid. At my most recent visit I was able to enjoy the shrimp. It was delicious. Somehow the flank steak was even better than the filet mignon. If available be sure to try the Moqueca stew. I haven't been to a Brazilian steakhouse in a while, so I was excited to visit Texas de Brazil. They have the usual set up with a salad bar and hot bar. The service was overall good: everyone was friendly and they did a good job of consistently bringing over meats. However they seemed to keep bringing over the same meats. Maybe it's because I came during a weekday (Wednesday), but I saw no lamb chops, garlic picanha, filet mignon wrapped in bacon, Parmesan pork loin, beef ribs, pork ribs, or petite filets. In addition, a majority of the meats were well-done, the spicy picanha especially! I'm not sure why the server asked me how I liked my meats cooked when it was irrelevant to what I actually got. I will say the mashed potatoes and pao de queijo were delicious. Unfortunately the main attraction here at Texas de Brazil are the meats, and these were done very poorly. It is all you can eat Brazilian steakhouse so they bring around different meats to your table and you choose if you wanna or not they are definitely some meats are better than the others but I like to try a little bit of everything. I think the salad bar is also delicious I like the couscous salad, potato salad, prosciutto, salami, cheese. They also have a hot or as well with some rice beans and soup. They also have a delicious dessert far. My favorite dessert from there is a Brazilian cheesecake. I've never had anything like that. The wife booked reservations for this location at 7:00 pm on a Wednesday. We were seated right away, and due to the current COVID virus, the staff had every safety measure in place: masks, gloves, and tables spaced six feet apart. Next, since I am deaf, and the masks make it impossible to lip-read, our waitress Leah worked with us to describe the changes in place. Their salad bar was closed, but we had a paper menu that allowed us to choose our salad, piece by piece. The list included hearts of palm, tabbouleh, cornichons, mozzarella, peppadew peppers, marinated artichoke hearts, and around twenty other options. Next, the meat selections started coming to the table. All were excellent. You can stop and rest a bit, and if you were ready for more, they would return. I don't believe a piece of medium well ever hit our table. The gauchos (carvers) were scarce on the floor and the beef was even more scarce. I've eaten at the San Antonio, TX location and it was awesome. Lexington, KY location not so much. Poor planning by management in my opinion. Myself my wife and another couple visited for Thanksgiving (all of us are senior citizens) By the time the meat got to us it was the last piece of meat on the skewer and not all of us got a piece. I asked the waitress if she could help, she said she would talked to the servers. 20 minutes later no meat other than chicken and sausage. I complained again, which did no good. When pouring water she missed the glass pouring the water on the table and walked away. I approached her and asked her if she could grab a napkin and clean it up. Waitress- no follow-up. We had to remove excess dishes and buss our own table even after we asked for the dishes to be removed. Ribs-none, chicken and sausage often, Flank steak- more than rare. Bathrooms looked like a truck stop, garbage cans overflowing, towels all over the floors. Asked The waitress asked later how was everything. I told her our experience was not good she did not say anything just asked if we wanted dessert. The manager came over because we had gift cards and had to be processed by him. Having loved our experience at the Huntsville, AL location, my wife and I were excited when her parents chose this place for her younger brother's and fiancée's rehearsal dinner venue. Have been multiple times for special occasions and have LOVED it every time. Its very fast paced, so do not come if you want a relaxed environment, as servers will come around repeatedly for you to pick and choose which meats you want. Everything I have had is amazing. The cold bar is equally as great, but try not to fill up as you'll want to try what they bring around. Workers are friendly, reservations are not hard to get, and the atmosphere is nice.
