Sally and Steve are amazing. Very professional and compassionate. They truly care who their precious angel baby puppies are placed with and where they will live. They are careful who they select and they interview you for a reason. They love their dogs. I reached out to Sally in 2020 after losing our Yorkie Rikey..I placed a $500.00 deposit with her for a puppy, but ultimately decided to adopt another Yorkie. Sally actually offered and gave the non-refundable deposit back, when she did not have to. Ultimately it was a huge mistake going with the Yorkie and other breeder, she sent us home with a puppy with giardia and a very unhealthy dog that had to have surgery and then became vicous with us because of something wrong with his brain. The breeder offer us no support or help. Ultimately we had to have him put down. Heartbreaking. I called Sally backand got on her list and we brought home our precious Lillian Grace in Feb 2022. She has beeneverything Sally promised and more! Sally's home is clean and she provides excellent care and communication from conception. You get pics of x-ray with your baby and pics of birth, videos amd pics every week until you pick your baby up. She is the best breeder we have ever worked with. Sally has a major attitude problem which absolutely shocked me lol. I'm the type of person to not want ANY confrontation and I'm always nice to others, so keep that in mind while reading. I hate doing this, but I just want to save other people from going through what I went through. I found her overbearing, hard to work with and rude for no reason. She requires you to post a good amount of fake good reviews on her website, praising her for stuff, which is weird. She will call you constantly, and if you miss even 1 call, she will leave a voicemail threatening to take your deposit and not give you a puppy. That was 1 missed call with no chance to even call back a minute later and she was already using threats. It was the only missed call, ever. She will say you're at the top of the list for a long time, but it was obvious she wasn't being honest when her website showed her dogs had some litters. If she decides for ANY REASON that she doesn't want to sell you a puppy, she will take your deposit with no hesitation or empathy. In fact, she would threaten me with that notion multiple times throughout the entire ordeal, even the first call, when I hadn't done anything to provoke her. She will also threaten to put you on the bottom of the list, even if you've been waiting for a long time and you've done everything she has asked of you. All it takes is for her to simply not like something you have said. She gave me so much anxiety that I would dread speaking to her. If you want a puppy from her, it's risky, anxiety-inducing and it may cost you a lot of money with nothing to show for it. I went with a different breeder and everything went fine. As a final note, I find it shameful for Sally to attack one of the other reviewers here, accuse them of lying AND act like she was the victim? It's obvious a lot of people do not have a good experience with Sally, hence the negative reviews. I picked up my angel baby Ziggy end of July and was ecstatic to meet my little guy. I had to travel four hours after picking him up and he was amazing in the car ride home. Ziggy has adjusted well since day one! He immediately adapted to his new Disneyland, slept thru the night, and used his pee pad! Sally was a pleasure to work with through this process. After checking out the Maltese Angel Babies site, I was directed to call Sally about available puppies. A warm and personable Sally greeted my call. Since I was comparing breeders, I wanted to get some information about her dogs and how she does things. Talking to her was so refreshing. I was relieved that she indeed answered all of my questions. She directed me to go onto her site and described each of her dogs and who she would be breeding next. Her methods are quite transparent, as she has tons of photos of her breeding facilities and dogs. I am so sad to write this review because I didn't want to. I like Sally she's a nice lady and takes care of her puppies and moms well. But I'm out of $500, I reached out to her in March for puppies in August or the summer and spoke to her and previous owners about her and her previous litters and she seemed trustworthy. She makes you comment on her blog about how great everything is before she approves you to buy a puppy from her. In order to reserve her one of her puppies I had to put down a deposit which I did and I regret. I stayed in contact with her and the summer litter never came, not her fault at all. She later called me about another breeder friend of hers that had a puppy available but she would be charging me a referral fee which you guessed it was my deposit. At the time I was in a state of depression that I didn't want to lose the opportunity to get a puppy since she wasn't sure when her adult dogs would get pregnant. I didn't know if she would even return my deposit and I didn't want to create an issue and lose the puppy. With her friend Shirley, I didn't have to put down a deposit, and I now have an adorable puppy that I love. I found it very saddening that I was pretty much forced to give up my deposit in order to get the referral. Never put down a deposit or hold a place in line if there is no puppy. She receives so much from selling these puppies and it seemed so shady for her to take a $500 dollar deposit as a referral fee when her contract strictly states that she would return if I didn't end up with one of her puppies. I feel like I was scammed, it doesn't seem right to me especially when she told me initially she would 100% return my deposit if I didn't end up with one of her puppies. She truly is a caring breeder but my experience with her wasn't as great as her previous customers. Don't trust, I wish I had done more research I hope this helps someone since when I searched there were no reviews. It seems like another person also tried to review her and it is now hidden. We initially chose Maltese Angel Babies based on their website. We found it extremely thorough/detailed with all kinds of invaluable information but two things were remarkable. First, it was crystal clear how deeply Sally cares for her dogs. This is her absolute top priority. Second, it was crystal clear how important it is to Sally to be completely transparent with everything she does - no secrets at all - and especially to ensure that her moms and dads and puppies receive the absolute best of the best. It was a lengthy process to get approved as a parent - and my husband and I truly appreciate that. Sally wants prospective parents to be educated and to be prepared. Finally, time to bring our precious little guy home. Sally welcomed us into her home and we saw that everything on the website was real. She cares so deeply about her puppies. Our little guy is in top health, sleeps through the night, pees and poops on his pad, and is eating solid food. What a dream! And even as we are home, Sally has made it clear she is there for us any time and for however long we may need her for advice. We feel so fortunate to have found Maltese Angel Babies. Sally seemed to be an honest Maltese Dog Breeder, but things didn't seem to be totally honest. I had several conversations with her - she had a lot of requirements to adopt one of her Maltese Puppies. She had a whole "Disneyland Setup" required to transition a 7 week old puppy into when you got it home, which I purchased from Ebay and Amazon, all of the different items she suggested. We were anticipating an in person meeting to see the puppy, which was not offered due to Covid, and we didn't make it to the two week puppy stage. I was told initially I was #18 in line to get a puppy, then I was #5 in line for a puppy from an 8 pound Maltese Dam, Maltese are typically 4-7 pounds. I moved to #3 spot and was offered a 2+ounce puppy, I told her I wanted a larger puppy if possible, she managed to offer a larger 4.6 ounce puppy. I was so excited to figure out that the puppy would be able to come home close to my birthday in December. She had a Zoom meeting with me and her puppies which went very well. Then overnight she changed her mom and cut me off - she told me she couldn't let me adopt one of her puppies and not to call her ever. So, I was very upset about it of course, it was like having a baby ripped out of your arms. She did send my $500 deposit back, but that doesn't reimburse the broken heart I have. So, BEWARE - she would not provide referrals from her Vet or pictures of the Dam's parents. I question what really happened, I'll never know. read more
