They got us in last minute when our cat was in distress. We were able to be seen right away. They…read morehelped us through a difficult situation. We had to put our beloved Master Chief down today. Their kindness and concern for her and us was exceptional. I highly recommend Stayton Vetinary Hospital. Truly care about what they are doing and it shows. Thank you to everyone helping us. I'll never forget the support we received. We will see them for our other pets in the future. This was our first visit.

The clinic is a good 40+ mile mute drive from us with countless other clinics well within closer drive time however from day one we were "sold" on them! We have referred over 20+ people to them over the years but they have certainly changed over the years. It started when they purchased new location and it not got worse as they continued the construction tripling their build with yet another addition currently in progress. I understand a business wanting to grow but we chose them because they made us feel like family, had reasonable rates and truly seemed to care about our pets. Now they have not only gotten so big and hired so many people but their rates have gone through the roof. I recently retired from the military and when I asked for military discount checking out after a $1200 bill I was berated at the counter asking for such and told they have never offered such a discount continuing on as if to make me look stupid! I live in Oregon so used to businesses not offering the same observance of service as majority of other states I served in spanning 30 years but couldn't believe the "show" their staff put on to "correct me" as I tried to pay a healthy bill after 2.5 hours of treatment! It truly feel like they have gotten so big so fast and now just charging higher rates to recover from their non-stop choices to get bigger and bigger.

We had wait an hour to get seen by the vet because of another emergency that happened. The vet eventually came in and she was calm and super kind. Our collie didn't seem to mind her until it was time to get her rabies shot. Anyway...long story short...all went well. I highly recommend this place.

Been taking my dog here for a while now. We did his dental, and 2 weeks after he developed a lump…read moreby his anus. He also had one on his back. Due to proximity and possible complications from growth, we decided to remove both lumps. Anal incision healed up no issues. Back took a bit longer, opened slightly, at which time i sent pictures to the vet who said to put neosporin on it. It finally healed. Not a week after that, he started going downhill, lethargic, no interest in food or treats or play, so I took him back. OF COURSE, I see a different vet, who examines him and finds his lymph nodes are inflamed, so wants to take a sample to rule out Lymphoma. Will not even discuss the possibility that his back incision could be infected (she said it would be localized at the site..) They take Joe back, take their sample, bring Joe back to the exam room, where we were left for 1.5 hrs, no water, no check on us, nothing, before the vet came back and said she messed up and needs to repeat the test. Same drill again only when they brought him back to the room the 2nd time he was very stressed and wanted out. After another hour, dog becoming more stressed as am I, I decided we would leave. Went out and said we were leaving and I wanted to pay my bill. After some back and forth they finally closed out my bill and I left only for my dog to explode with diarrhea and start puking in the field right outside.(stress) A vet tech or asst walked out as this was happening and I said thanks a lot he is really sick. she ignored me. Vet called on my home to apologize for being insensitive about a very serious diagnosis and the effect of leaving us in the tiny room for 3 hours. Labs were sent in and came back NOT lymphoma thank goodness..but what happens next is the kicker. I get the results left on a VM from the vet who says call me this week with any questions, I am prescribing antibiotics to fight infection. The next morning, the clinic told me she wouldn't be in until friday. The clinic is texting and emailing saying medication is ready for pick up so I email and ask that it be sent to Walmart in Salem, Ronda says sure we can do that. Not 10 minutes later, she calls and says "We will not release this prescription until the balance is paid on your account" #1 I stopped at the desk Monday before I left in anger to pay. I have also spent over 3k in 1 month here, as well as I have a card on file with them. So my sick dog getting his medication was also not as important as them getting their petty balance which they could've had Monday if there was any competence at the front desk when I left my appointment Monday. The message from this place is LOUD and CLEAR. Your pet (FAMILY MEMBER) does not matter here AT ALL. Please take your pet elsewhere. I filed a complaint with OR board of Vet. Medicine for refusing to release his prescription without payment of the account. Can't do that to an established patient (post surgical, by not quite a month, I might add) Unreal. Needless to say I will be finding a new vet to see him through this.
