I've come back more than a few times to try different cupcakes from this bakery, and it has not disappointed! They always have a line when I stop by of people picking up bakery orders or stopping by to grab sweet treats. They have all kinds of pastries and bakery items: cakes, cake pops, cupcakes, cookies, brownies, pies, macarons, pop tarts and even packaged drinks. I've gotten a few different cupcakes from them. My favorites have been the peaches and cream, top hat cupcake, pistachio raspberry and strawberry vanilla. Their tiramisu cupcake, margarita cupcake and the key lime cupcakes all actually tasted so much like the namesakes! Their cupcakes are mostly perfectly balanced sweetness: I haven't had anything that was too sweet. Their cakes look so beautifully decorated, but I haven't tried any. They look so good though! Everything in there are so aesthetically pleasing, and if the cupcakes are anything to go by, I'd say flavor wise, the other items would meet expectations! I've been to Nothing Bundt Cakes a few times now and I've yet to try a flavor I didn't like. Despite my sugar habit, I do tend to prefer cakes without icing, but the icing on their cakes is a nice complement to the texture. Their cakes are somehow dense and moist (pause), much akin to a soaked pound cake. I wish the cookies and cream flavor wasn't just seasonal since that was my favorite. From their staples, my faves include (in no particular order) strawberries and cream, confetti, snickerdoodle, and white chocolate raspberry (a surprise favorite). Red velvet would be a top contender if not for the chocolate chips. I don't want crunchy ingredients in my cake. Luckily these cakes freeze well, so I pretend to ration them by putting them in the freezer for a few hours and then microwave them very soon thereafter. The customer proceeded to ask us (my mom and I) how do we feel about the cake that was prepared for a relative's 50th. We said it looked nice. However, there were water stains that destroyed the overall photo that was printed for the cake. She requested a re-print from the worker/woman and we waited for about 10 minutes then asked how long before our cupcakes were ready. She stated "about 10 more minutes" then she proceed to yell to another worker in the back. I'm unsure what was said because I don't understand Spanish that well. A few moments later, the cupcakes were made. ** We requested pink cupcakes with glitter in the shape of an L. Super cute! However, once we served the cupcakes to the guests at the event.. we noticed the disappointment on everyone's faces. Including mine. I describe the taste as cardboard and another guest described it as metal. The taste was awful. My little sister was so embarrassed on her 14th birthday! My mom returned the box of cupcakes with no request of a refund, only a complaint. We wanted them to know they tasted awful and we wanted them to dispose of them so they could see they were not enjoyed. Their excuse was that "pink icing tastes like that and it was the glitter".. either way, there was no resolve. Very sad because this place came highly recommended and I believe they successfully did cake in the past. FYI, the cake portion of the cupcake was so good and moist but the icing destroyed the entire cupcake. We hoped for resolve but I guess we wasted money. Honest review.
